I absolutely love that series. Rebecca is so good at writing a novella that contains everything a full length novel would include. It packs a huge punch. Definitely action packed and swoon worthy.

You become completely immersed in the story, picturing everything vividly as you read. We get to see a romance that was hidden for centuries finally come to fruition. I’ll be anxiously awaiting more next year!

God. Was he saying what she thought he was saying? Her mind fuzzed. No. This couldn’t happen. She knew. She just knew that being kissed by Theo Reese would change her world. Considering her world was full of intrigue, pain, and lies right now…that might not be so bad. But getting involved with him would be a disaster. Especially right now. “Release me because this is a very bad idea,” she whispered.

A muscle ticked in his jaw. “That wasn’t a lie.”

“No.” It wasn’t.

“Where’s the Benjamin file?” His gaze traveled up from her lips to her eyes.

All Saints, she could get lost in those midnight black eyes. This close, she could see different shades. Were there different shades of black? She hadn’t thought so before. Now, she could see them. Ah. Vampire eyes. Wait a minute. The vamps had tertiary eye colors that came out in times of stress or great emotion or supposedly during sex. Jared’s were just a darker black, which she’d seen once when he’d been in a fight as a kid. Chalton, the middle brother, had a deep blue that was almost black and didn’t look much different from his normal color. She only knew that because of a background file she’d read on him. There was no such background file on Theo. Unfortunately.

Theo leaned closer. “Ginny?”

“What other color are your eyes?” she blurted.

He blinked. Once and then twice. “The only way you’ll ever know that is if you’re naked.”

Naked. He said naked. She gulped down a swallow. Images of Theo sans clothing, over her, slid through her mind, down her body, and landed hard between her legs. Was it possible to faint from desire? Oh, she was a master at pretending to faint. But now, her knees actually wobbled. “How improper,” she said, fighting her hardest to keep her voice mild.“The last thing in the world you need is proper.” His voice was even milder.

Review- Penalty by Jacob Chance

My rating is 5 out of 5 stars

This book was absolutely fantastic. I love all of Jacob’s books, but I think this one jumped into the number one slot for me. It was so much more than I expected from a sports romance, though I shouldn’t be surprised because Jacob has wowed me from his very first book.

We definitely get the hot, cocky, man whore who meets his match in a petite sweetheart. The sparks flew immediately and I absolutely loved the progression of their relationship. Seeing the alpha get tamed unexpectedly warmed my heart.

Dont get me wrong, this book packed a twist I never saw coming. My jaw dropped to the floor, and the events that followed truly shaped the path for the rest of the book perfectly.

This is a definite must read. I picked it up and didn’t put it down until.I finished. I was hooked.

Review – Going In Deep by Carly Phillips

I’ll admit it. From the first three books of this series, I hated Julian. He was a selfish, self-centered prick set on destroying the three people that at one time he called friends… his brothers. More than that, he decimated a woman who had her own challenges to face. Mental illness is such a mountain to climb anyway. To take advantage of someone in such a handicapped state? How could he be redeemed? How?

The Julian Day of Going In Deep is not the same man I met previously. He’s calmer, more contrite. More responsible and yes, more sorry for what he did and the man that he was. He’s admitted that he is an addict and his addiction colored his life. He’s a changed man. Kendall Parker is a big part of that change. He’s determined to be better and to make amends with the one person who was hurt the most by his actions.

Kendall isn’t the same Kendall Parker that I met previously either. She’s found her purpose in her work with rescue dogs. She’s found the right medications that let her function and get through her days. Her sister and her husband love her. Still her heart hurts. Even after everything that has happened, Kendall still has feelings for Julian. She can’t forget him. When Julian makes it his mission to prove to her that he has changed and wants a second chance with her, will Kendall be able to see the man that Julian has become?

So here’s where I admit something else. I didn’t think that Julian could change. I didn’t think he deserved a second chance, but I was wrong. Very wrong. Carly wrote a truly wonderful story for Julian. His back story was painful, and the more I learned the more I found myself falling so hard for him, rooting for him and Kendall. I mean cheering for them with all that I had. Julian EARNS his second chance and never takes it for granted. I was so impressed by Kendall. She found her voice in all of the chaos of her life. She wanted Julian and the love the two of them shared. And the chemistry… and they have it. Time and distance hasn’t dulled the pull these two have.

This story is one of such incredible triumphant for two people who were once so broken and found their missing pieces in each other. Carly addresses mental illness and addiction with such clarity and honestly. Julian and Kendall have such a real love… the kind of love that makes redemption, forgiveness and friendship possible. Amazing love story, Carly, and a brilliant ending to another wonderful Phillips series.

She sighed. “My building has a one dog only rule. And you’ve met Waffles. Besides, we can’t save them all ourselves, as Josie likes to remind me.”

He inclined his head. “Then your loss is my gain.”

She shifted the dog and held him out for Julian. He accepted his new pet, juggling him with the leash, and held him up, meeting his gaze. “Looks like it’s you and me, Bud. You ready for your new life?”

Meghan is known for perfection of a pure blooded, filthy talking, alpha male. Boone Thrasher definitely fits this description. We also get to see the real man behind “bad boy of country”.
I devoured this book from page 1. Man do I wish I didn’t have another review due at the moment because book 2 is calling my name, and its oh so tempting to dive in and forego sleep.
We always know when Meghan March releases a new book, it’s going to be a best seller and this is definitely going to hit that list FAST!!!

I recently told Aurora that when I came back in the next life, I want to be the girl that a Mayson falls for. I meant it! With every Until Him book in this series, the Mayson men get sexier, make my heart swoon harder and their leading ladies make the stories of finding the BOOM just that much more enjoyable. Unil Sage is one amazing read that I just couldn’t put down. Sage Mayson is his father, Nico, all over. It simply doesn’t matter at all that Sage is adopted. Sage is a Mayson from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet.

Kimberly Cullen had her world turned upside down in just 24 hours by the sexy man with the beautiful eyes who came to her rescue. They had an undeniable connection. They had something that could have changed everything. But circumstances and a vindictive identical twin destroy what could have been. When Sage learns the truth, he sorry for his harsh, angry words and actions but Kim won’t forgive or forget. He tries and fails. Repeatedly.

His love for Kim is so evident, and he knows that he cannot waste the second chance that she has given him. Kim has her own insecurities and revelations that must be faced. The past rears its ugly head and the couple have obstacles to face together. Leave it to Sage to power through obstacles the way his parents have taught him and by the examples his family has shown him. Nothing is stopping him from having it all with Kim.

Aurora Rose Reynolds has given us another fantastic addition to the Until series! Sage and Kim have such a beautiful love story. This book is unlike any in the series. Filled with twists and turns, tragedy, heartbreak and forgiveness. Love done the Mayson way. So very well done, ARR! Very well done indeed!

There are some series that I could read until the characters are old and gray…ones that I will always want and always NEED!!! Chelle Bliss’ Men of Inked series is one I read shortly after book one and could READ FOREVER!!! Every story in this series is SENSATIONAL. These characters, which now span three generations, are so near and dear to my heart. Being reunited with the Gallos is like coming home to friends, family, and everything familiar. For me, the Men of Inked series IS HOME.

Chelle Bliss’ latest Men of Inked story, Worship Me, is SWEET NOSTALGIA and NIRVANA. It’s like being wrapped in a cozy blanket and feeling warm and loved. Review- Lie To Me by Amber Bardan

This book was recommended to me by someone. I had no idea what the book was about and the author was new to me. Let me tell you. Neda completely got this matchup right for my reading tastes.

This book was seriously HOT!! At the same time, be prepared to get the script flipped and your jaw to drop. I cannot wait to read more by this author.

Her foot landed on mine, the point of her heel slamming my toes. “Whoops, sorry.”
I hauled her close. Her hips met mine, and I held her right there, stopped among the other dancers celebrating Haithem and Angelina’s wedding.

Okay first off, I LOVE Leslie McAdam. Her books are sensual and sexy and downright perfect.

Secondly, I’m a FOOL. A big, bad bookworm fool. Why? Because I’ve never actually read a book by Lex Martin, despite having some on my kindle. *hides* I’m severely disappointed in myself.

Thirdly, Leslie McAdam and Lex Martin are PHENOMENAL together. Holy Maceroni did this book flow? From start to finish it just grew from strength to strength. It was chock full of emotion, humour and heat. Everything was executed with precision and perfection. I’m in awe!

All About The D was a surprise for sure. I mean I knew I’d like it, that was a given, but I didn’t expect it to own me like it did. Josh and Evie were a match made in heaven! And their story was just stunning. I devoured this story whole.

Leslie & Lex ensured that this story was fun. It’s a fairly light read that’s sexy and downright swoony yet it has those moments that really pull on the emotions and hijack the heart. Couple that with the undeniable, sizzling connection between Josh & Evie and you have yourselves the PERFECT ROM COM!

Checkmate: This is Effortless was indeed just effortless. Kennedy Fox finished Drew & Courtney’s duet better than I could have ever expected and hoped for.

Everything in this second part was delivered with precision and ease. The flow and pace of the story was just perfect, it was fast enough to hook my attention. Slow enough to add mystery and suspense. Kennedy Fox left nothing uncovered, all my questions were answered and the best happy ending delivered.

This is Effortless messed with all my emotions. I’m pretty sure I experience every single emotion possible. I got tummy sloshes, an elevated heart rate AND skin tingles. Sometimes ALL AT THE SAME TIME!! My feelings were well and truly dragged from me and laid bare for all to see when I got to the end. But I wouldn’t change a damn thing! It was the best feeling!

Drew & Courtney maintained their intense relationship. If anything, I only felt their connection blast through even stronger. They truly edged themselves under my skin and lit me up from the inside out.. Drew is FIYAH! Courtney is SASS! Together they are explosive.

I’m head over heels for all things Kennedy Fox. I adore their passion that relays so easily through their words. I love the way they take their characters and raise them to the next level making them unforgettable. I love that their stories are kept fresh and are always addictive.

The giddy delight I get when I meet a new or new-to-me author’s words is HEAVEN! That rush during that initial read is off-the-charts incredible! I popped my Leisa Rayven cherry with a ROMANCE EXPLOSION called Mister Romance and it was PHENOMENAL!!! Mister Romance is a burst of smolder and swoon that blazes and burns, melting everywhere!!!
