Nameless…Penn…both thieves in the night…stealing a piece of Elle. One reminds Elle of the other…both sinners and saviors. Though Penn is who invades Elle’s body, thoughts, and dreams now.

Penn and Elle are PURE PERFECTION together. The fusion of hot and cold perfectly blend into magic that melts like molten lava. You cannot help but feel their chemistry-clad connection, two powerful people powerless around each other. These characters captivated me, and I wanted to shake the secrets out of Penn and force him to fess up to Elle as she deserves the truth. She has given this mystery man so much of her and needs more. I NEEDED MORE TOO.

I burned for these compassionate and complex characters with off-the-charts chemistry who were perfect together. I burned for more.

I felt every word I read in this pulse-pounding, UNPUTDOWNABLE, soul-searing story. Crown of Lies stole my breath in a book that bled beauty and angst, this book baring its soul to me and stealing my soul. The spellbinding, suspenseful, and spine-tingling Crown of Lies shook my soul, grabbed my gut, and hit my heart so hard that my emotions bled long after the story was over.

Crown of Lies is deliciously dark, passionately poignant, and mysteriously magical. Crown of Lies was MY RUSH. It All Falls Down by M. Dauphin

Can I begin this review by saying.. OH MY PANTY BURNING HOTNESS. LOL. Seriously, It All Falls Down is crazy hot, like burny, burny hot. Max & Nora literally sizzle their way through this book.

Connection is there. And it’s HOT.

Chemistry is there. And it’s HOT.

Tension is there. Annnnnnd it’s HOT!

I kid you not, this is not a book you should read, unless you’re alone. TWO WORDS… Hotel Room. *wipes brow*

Once we get past all the hotness talk though, what we have with It All Falls Down is an incredibly sweet, swoony, beautiful romance, that made my heart pitter patter on many occasions.

Nora & Max are a stunning couple. His bad with her good mixed together perfectly. Despite the initial meet being a quick, hot ride, what transpires afterwards was a stroke of genius. M. Dauphin brings them back together so fluidly thus beginning that searing connection, that you cannot help but feel.

My heart broke a little for these characters and mannnnn, I wanted to shake them, just to clear their vision but Dauphin does it in her own way, she paves their path back to one another perfectly and it was a joy to read.

It All Falls Down is a beautiful, breathtaking romance, that sizzles and burns and just leaves you with all those wonderful bookish feels!

He promised he’d never leave. He should have told me. I could have helped. Max came into my life when I didn’t need a man to define me. He didn’t push his way in… not really. He slowly, tirelessly, and patiently waited. He used that damn smile, day in and day out, and waited until I tumbled head over heels in love with him.

My grandma always told me to watch out for the pretty boys. The ones that turn you to mush the first time you lay eyes on them. She never warned me about Maxwell Holzer. If there’s one thing in life I’ve always known, it’s that when something goes up, it will most certainly always come crashing down.

Okay! LISTEN UP! First of all I must discuss this cover! Because OMG….THIS FREAKING COVER….

I mean, HOLY HOT ABS! THOSE HANDS! THAT WATCH! *shivers* If that doesn’t draw you to think book then, well, I don’t know what will? Oh… wait, maybe I do.

Yep here’s another reason….

THIS BOOK IS EFFIN’ FANTASTIC!

Hard Boss is a sexy, quick, dirty read that just took my breath away. Now, I’m not usually one for posting five star reviews on ‘shorter’ books. Why? I like my books with more meat in them, but this?

Well this had meat, it had grit, it had a rawness, it had intensity, it had heart and it well and truly worked it’s way into mine. Luke Steel, where have you been? Hard Boss is an fantastic debut!

From start to finish I swooned over Dominic and I must admit I got really hot for Dominic. I ADORED Lucy! She too was crazy hot. If high-fiving a character was a possibility, I’d high-five her! From their initial meet to their end they sizzled and popped with an intense, fiery connection. And despite the length of Hard Boss I never once felt rushed or disconnected, from the story or them. And had it been longer, I’d have loved it even more!

Hard Boss is a dirty, delicious read. It’s HOT **fans self** and heartwarming. It’s passion and love. It’s everything, wrapped up in a mouth watering package. I loved it. Luke Steel…WRITE MORE. I NEED MORE!

I’m as hard as they come. No one can unravel me. And then SHE came along…

Lucy was supposed to be like every other assistant out there—quiet, skilled at predicting my needs, and definitely not a walking distraction. How can she make it so hard to focus on my work? I hate it.

And I hate how much I want her.

Worse, no matter how I try to scare her off with my crisp attitude, she stands up to me. Her backbone is turning me on as much as catching her bending over the desk, skirt stretched over her thighs.

Dammit.

She shouldn’t get close to me. No one should.

So why am I taking her to dinner?

And why am I tying her down to my bed, making her shiver and moan?

Lucy might ruin what’s left of my heart…

The Bachelor Auction by Rachel Van Dyken

The Bachelor Auction by Rachel Van Dyken, is a sweet, modern twist on the classic tale Cinderella. I am a HUGE Disney fan and this story that Rachel has penned perfectly ticked many of my bookworm boxes.

Brock & Jane were a brilliant pairing, both downtrodden and suffering from the impact of controlling, demanding family. These characters made me feel for them, smile and swoon. Once free from the clutches of the family, Brock and Jane really blossomed. It was a joy and pleasure to read.

My only downside of this book, and the reason for my four star rating is purely due to the book being in the 3rd person. I cannot say anything bad against the story or Rachel’s writing which was just WOW, as always. The 3rd person perspective stopped me from being totally connected to the characters. I missed some of the deeper internal perspective we get from 1st person stories. I must say though, this is just MY personal preference/perspective. The story, the writing is GREAT.

Rachel, remains to be one of those authors whose books I love no matter what. And I do love this one. It’s a beautiful tale, of breaking free and doing things for yourself.

The Bachelor Auction is a story you should curl up in a blanket with and fall in love with. Because you WILL.

Cinderella never had to deal with this crap.

My rating is 5 out 5 stars

While reading this book, it was easy tof forget this is the authors debut book. She absolutely nailed it. I fell, and I fell hard. There was the perfect mix of angst, passion, heartbreak, hurt, and devotion.

Healing The Broken is definitely a perfect title for this book. Ryann has a past that would tear even the strongest of people to their knees. She has been dealt blow after blow since she was a small child. There’s only one man whose ever made her feel safe. Cash loves this woman with such intensity but must break down her walls. He is determined to make her feel safe and secure in his arms.

The journey these two take is one that will consume you from the beginning to the end. Cash is definitely the perfect man. This is a book that you absolutely must read.

Talk Dirty to Me by Lulu Wright

Talk Dirty To Me, is a sinful, sexy and intense journey through past, present and future. Lulu Wright penned this novel with such truth and raw power that just fights to encase the reader. It took me longer than I’d have liked to finish this book, unfortunately life got in the way and delayed my progress, despite that though I was DESPERATE to get back into Rose and Mark’s world. To revel in the oozing sexual tension that just BURNS throughout this whole story.

In all honesty, I didn’t fully connect to Rose straight away, something about her just didn’t click, I can’t say what but it was there. But as the story progressed, Lulu did an amazing job at making Rose one kick ass, sassy, sexy character. Her snark and wit were hilarious and on multiple occasions I wanted to high five her for her one liners.

Being a Brit, I struggle with fully understanding Baseball, but if Mark Carrington is out there and real and offering baseball lessons then SIGN ME UP! This extraordinary man was written to perfection. From the first meeting, sparks started flying FOR ME, never mind between the characters. Mark was alpha, bad-boy, fit sportsman, all the things that tick all my boxes. As the story want on Mark turned out to be everything and more, underneath all that ruggedness was a sensational swoon worthy man that gave me butterflies.

What really stands out during Talk Dirty To Me, as I’ve mentioned was the undeniable connection Mark and Rose have, it’s believable and easy to follow. Despite the first half of the book sizzling with angsty sexual tension that connection only builds and builds. The added sports background, rock/alt music, and second chance romance aspects made this a book I couldn’t get enough of.

Talk Dirty to me was flawless, exciting, enjoyable and I fell in love with it all!

Mark Carrington already broke my heart once.

I’ve loved fairy tales since I was a little girl—from Cinderella to Beauty in the Beast to modern romances that feel like fairy tales. Fairy tales are just…SIGH…magical and mesmerizing. These magical stories transport me to a wonderful fantasy world that sometimes feels very raw and real. Royal Scandal by Marquita Valentine is a feel-good, friends-to-lovers fairy tale of a romance dipped in suspense that will make your heart dance!

Royal Scandal enraptured and ensnared me from the start, this slow burn of a book with more sweetness than steam became my obsession. This fairy tale twisted itself around all of me. It did not let go; I did not let go. Royal Scandal with its sweet and spicy story along with a fusion of Southern sass and charming Brit demeanor was the magical mixture for a moving romance.

Crown Prince Colin Sinclair is tall, green-eyed, dark-haired, and handsome with a caring personality, delicious body and dirty-talking mouth. He puts his family first even over his love life. Until he stumbled upon the beautiful, red-haired and blue-eyed, Della Hughes, the caretaker and housekeeper of his new American estate of which he and his family fled from his British country under exile.

At just seventeen when he fled his country to America, Colin felt a connection to the fifteen year-old Della, a spark when she challenged him immediately.

“I feel as if I’ve found a kindred soul in her.”

Della will do anything for her best friend, Colin, including marrying him but in name only. Though their platonic plans become a challenge when the combustible chemistry surrounds them like the air they breathe.

“Too bad because I would look forward to your inspection.”

Colin is royally endowed and his package may be as irresistible as his passion and charm for Della.

Della falls into the rabbit hole, completely smitten by the oh-so-persuasive Prince. The passion between that has built for ten years is about to burst, friendship caught on fire ready to blaze into an inferno. Feelings of more than friendship are forming, but Della is holding back, afraid that her happily-ever-after is not in the cards.

Colin is hiding a secret or more that could be scandalous. Couple that with Della who doesn’t believe in happily-ever-afters or fairy tales and this prince may have a tough time convincing his bride-in-name to become his forever princess.

Royal Scandal is a Cinderella tale where Prince Charming is as sweet as pie and his princess is all sass. This friends-to-lovers love story sank itself into me, sprinkling fairy dust over the pages, where I was covered in a delicious concoction of sweetness and smolder. This magical fairy tale melted me from head to toe.

I had love in my heart and stars in my eyes while devouring Royal Scandal. A dash of romance, a splash of suspense, and a heap of heart make this modern-day Cinderella story a must-read! So royally good!

Second-chance romances or ones where lovers were childhood friends are my love…my heart…my soul…my weakness; The Room Mate was my KRYPTONITE. This kryptonite was one I could not consume fast enough. I ate up this captivating and combustible story like chocolate cake. Oh was The Room Mate rich in EVERYTHING DELICIOUS!

I fell in INSTA-LOVE with The Room Mate, a friends-to-lovers romance with a potent potion of humor, heat, and heart. It didn’t take long for my body to blaze in burning heat as I alternated lighting up with lust and laughter like fire. The Room Mate was a forceful flame, the fire that ignited and intoxicated every part of me. This inferno, The Room Mate, smoldered from sex to soul. I was caught and claimed. I was smitten and seduced. I WAS ALL IN.

Cannon Roth…JUST WOW!!! That name alone?!? HOLY HOT!!! Add the hot name Cannon to the doctor profession and Doctor Roth is just as amazing! OH YES!!! From longtime friends to room-mates, Cannon is challenged to stay in the friend zone with the gorgeous, blonde, blue-eyed, and curvy Paige, his long-time friend, sister’s best friend, girl of his teenage fantasies, and now woman of his dreams.

The mouth on this Adonis of a man is a cannon indeed, so deliciously dirty and decadent. Cannon is the fire to Paige’s ice, and, for once, this cool and collected gal wouldn’t mind being reckless…getting burned. Burn is what I did…with every penetrating and passionate page.

After a string of psycho gals who fall in love after Cannon’s cannon fires into them, this gorgeous guy is convinced that he is the magic machine that make all women fall in love with the Cannon-ball. She challenges Cannon to test out his tempting theory on her plus a few bites and blazes to the lady bits won’t hurt either.

The doctor is in…indeed! I smoldered, those involuntary thigh clenches in full swing! Dr. McDreamy delivers the goods…one big package that he works like a pro to deliver the big O. The Room Mate turned me into a minx!

Oh how this game was on fire! Sparks sprinkled with swoon and oh did I SWOON from Cannon’s sweet words!!!

I melted into a pool of goo all over the pages. Paige can’t let Cannon get closer because she can’t be responsible for ruining the doctor-in-training’s residency…his career…his life.

“He was the realest, best, brightest thing in my world, and I hated that we would never be more.”

Paige won’t be the one to hold the dreamy doctor-in-residency back from his dream though what she doesn’t realize is that she is Cannon’s dream.

Oh did Dr. McDreamy’s words of sweetness and swoon shot stars in my eyes and butterflies in my belly. This man is the ultimate hero and one of my all-time favorites to blaze books. I left this story on a high, as words of smolder and swoon shot through me like a cannon, a high I did not want to leave.
