I admired her courage and tenacity so much!

Pim is beautiful despite being battered and bruised. A fallen angel fighting for her life, Pim looks ethereal with a glow that accentuates her beauty and strength, inside and out. Elder can’t get this goddess out of his head or heart.

Oh did I SWOON! I did not expect Elder to melt me to mush, but he surprised me in the best way, making me fall for him even harder!

Review – Unplugged by LK Collins

Instead I flipped back, reread and then all I could really say was… WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE? LK has the innate ability to leave her readers so breathless, so angry but so unable to turn away. No way could I stop reading once twist began. I was all in for the ride until its delightful end.

Hot, steamy, twisty… Merritt can curl your toes with his dirty talk and delicious moves. Quinn is his match, giving just as good as she can get. Unplugged is another stellar story by one talented author. It seems with each story LK Collins is honing her craft, getting that much better. I am amazed that with each read, I fall more and more in love with her work and look forward to what she plans to give her readers next!

I fell in love with Melanie Harlow’s latest sensation, After We Fall, by just reading the synopsis. I had not even sunk myself into story and I KNEW it would be a heart-thrashing hit. Cowboy…OH YES for this Southern gal. Ex-Army soldier…DOUBLE YES for this Army wife. Brooding, hot, muscular, rugged alpha…YES, YES, YES! SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!

After We Fall held me in its clutches, quickly captivating and claiming me in one utterly UNPUTDOWNABLE tale. I was at this story’s mercy, needing to sink myself so deeply into After We Fall that I never wanted to surface for air. This heartbreaking yet heartwarming story stole my breath where I was drowning to breathe.

My emotions were engulfed by this beautiful yet broken book, feels flowing all over the pages. Chills ran through me. My breaths were bated. My pulse raced. My heart shattered. I felt every word I read. After We Fall was my adrenaline…my anguish…my ache…my addiction. I WAS ALL IN.

Gorgeous and brooding cowboy, Jack Valentini, wants nothing to do with the beautiful blonde and blue-eyed Margot ‘Barbie’ Lewiston who is bringing some much-needed PR expertise to his family’s struggling farm. This rich gal is an annoyance and he doesn’t want any more changes in his already devastating life.

I wanted to wrap up Jack in a huge hug. My heart bled for this cowboy who suffered a great loss and is still stuck in the darkness. The closed-off alpha reveals a peek of his big heart and Margot can’t help but become enamored by this complex cowboy.

“Someone who loved like that had to have a big heart, even if it was buried beneath prickly layers of grief and bitterness. I’d give him another chance.”

Margot is smart, funny, and beautiful inside and out…I loved her! The sweet and sassy woman wants to get to know the gorgeous, annoying, and tender-hearted man who gets under her skin.

Jack wants to ignore the first woman since his late wife to invade his head and heat his body that’s been in hibernation for three years but the magnetic force between Margot and him is too powerful to ignore.

“I knew what I was going to do before I did it. I knew it was a bad idea. I knew I’d regret it. And I still did it…I kissed her…Our tongues met and I tasted her hungrily, like I’d never get enough…sweet and forbidden.”

The chemistry burns bright between Margot and Jack, a forbidden flame that fights to ignite, so hard to resist. Oh did I love their angst that bled all over the pages!

Margot awakened a sleeping bear in Jack that had been hibernating too long, years since a mere kiss.

The beauty bathed in heat in these words that melted me to molten lava, my feels flowing all over the pages. Swoon and sadness sent me over the edge. The passion poured off the pages, the pent-up tension a dam ready to burst. I was that dam too, my feelings bursting and bleeding too.

This country boy made me swoon! His sexy, seductive, sad, and soul-filled words made me sink under his spell. This tender and troubled, and soulful and swoony alpha held my heart in his hands. Oh did I love Cowboy Jack! PURE PERFECTION.

Jack Valentini isn’t my type.

Sexy, brooding cowboys are fine in the movies, but in real life, I prefer a suit and tie. Proper manners. A close shave.

Jack might be gorgeous, but he’s also scruffy, rugged, and rude. He wants nothing to do with a “rich city girl” like me, and he isn’t afraid to say so.

But I’ve got a PR job to do for his family’s farm, so he’s stuck with me and I’m stuck with him. His glares. His moods. His tight jeans. His muscles.

His huge, hard muscles.

Pretty soon there’s a whole different kind of tension between us, the kind that has me misbehaving in barns, trees, and pickup trucks. I’ve never done anything so out of character—but it feels too good to stop.

Review – Twined Bond by Emma Hart

You know? I’ve followed this series from the very beginning, I’ve eagerly anticipated each and every instalment and I’ve enjoyed every trip to Holly Woods that I’ve been on.

Now after reading Twined Bond, the very last one, I’m feeling kinda lost. This whole journey has been bittersweet. I have so many moments from this series that will stick with me, but I honestly can’t believe it’s over.

Twined Bond was, without a doubt, the best one of the whole series. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Emma not only did justice to her characters but she did justice to us the reader too. It’s clear to see that Emma has wrote a book that she herself would be happy to read, everything was covered, I have no criticism at all. It was all so perfect.

Twined Bond, I feel, was the most hard hitting too. Emma basically ripped all my emotions out of me, smashed them into a bag, gave them a HUGE shake and then stuck them back in me. I was all over the place. Emphasised by the fact that I actually never wanted the book to end.

I’m not going to say anymore. I can’t without risking spoiling it for someone. What I will say though is that, if you haven’t read this series, if you haven’t become acquainted with Noelle and her crazy, hysterical family, Drake, her alpha protector, and the mystery and suspense that floods the series then you are missing out. This series is fantastic. Each and every book will keep you guessing, each and every book will make you fall a little further in love with Drake and Noelle and each and every book will become a favourite. Twined Bond was the perfect way to end!

Now excuse me while I go sit in a corner and mourn all the greatness that is Holly Woods!

Review – Major Love by Kate Stewart

Major Love, is a hot, humorous, heartbreaking read that pitched its way into my heart and simply won’t let go.

There is a reason Kate sits highly on my list of favourite authors. Kate’s books balance out in the most perfect ways, while invoking every emotion possible.

In Major Love, Kate took me on a breathtaking ride through loss and pain, love and laughter. Multiple times, I found myself laughing hysterically then almost ugly crying. I found that my heart broke before it was glued back together in the most beautiful way. I also got VERY hot around the collar because WOAH! April and Andy are on FI-YAH!

I’ve been desperately awaiting this book, Andy’s story, since finishing Anything But Minor. When I got it, I dropped EVERYTHING and dove in and my word I fell hard and fast! Kate brought everything to the table with Andy, she made him hot, raw and powerful but she also made him sweet and vulnerable. Andy lit a fire so deep inside me that I just couldn’t put out no matter how hard I tried. And as the book went on that fire blazed bigger and BIGGER.

Matching Andy with April was genius. Seriously everything about the two of them was just SO RIGHT. From start to finish, Kate made them connectable, relatable, lovable. There was nothing fast about their love either, don’t get me wrong, it was there, the whole time and you could FEEL it so much but it builds slowly. It’s truly magnificent and it proves how fantastic Kate’s writing actually is. You will fall in love along with April and Andy. You’ll hurt with them, you’ll laugh with them. It’s honestly all so perfect!

Kate definitely hit a home run with Major Love, a sports romance that blasted it’s way into my top reads of 2016 and will forever hold a special place my heart!

THIS STORY! Truly one of the best books Cherise has written!

The Masters of the Shadowlands has been the ultimate series for me. It was one of the first BDSM series I ever read – and binged on – with absolute delight! I have always loved the prankster princesses. Sally, Rainie and Uzuri are quite the trio. They have pulled the worst of the worst on all the Masters at Shadowlands. Sally finally found her forever in Masters Galen and Vance (who else could tame that wild child?) and Rainie found her everything in Master Jake. What a delight now to see if the last prankster princess can find true love at last.

Uzuri had a tragic and abusive past and came to the Shadowlands to work through her fears. The beloved Master Z has been patient with his wayward trainee and now Uzuri’s time is up and she must face her fears. Since she was attacked and abused at the hand of her boyfriend turned stalker, the beautiful biracial submissive has feared big men that can tower over her. Better to stay safe and not explore what she could have with smaller, safer dominants. And most definitely she plans to stay away from the Drago cousins, especially after her run-in with Dr. Alastair Drago when she accused him of only wanting to be with Uzuri because of her skin color.

Masters Alastair and Max Drago were cousins and blood brothers. Tall, dark, intimidating and sexy. Beautiful and demanding dominants. The chemistry and sexy times with these three are some of the most intense, sensual and earth shattering moments of the series. Burn, kindle. Burn!

Whether she meant to be or not, Cherise has taken on a rather timely issue of racial identity and racial equality at a time when our society is at such a crossroads in race relations. Being biracial Uzuri and Alastair face a unique set of racial issues that I haven’t seen addressed in many other romance novels. Cherise tackles the issue with grace, tact and dignity. Being a woman is often difficult to ask for help. But Uzuri had much more to overcome in her journey to becoming strong and independent but willing to ask for help when it is desperately needed, accepting the hand offering the assistance and knowing it’s okay to be vulnerable at times.

This story thrilled me, made me fly, made me laugh out loud and sigh sigh sigh. The feelings this story evokes… the joy, the angst, the flush of passion. The romantic moments. Even the scary moments. This trip back to the Shadowlands and Uzuri’s story was well worth the wait!

“Precisely.” Master Z set his hand on Uzuri’s shoulder, warm and very firm. “I need to steal your barmaid, Nolan. Austin will fill in for the remainder of her shift.”
