Love found me sweet and sexy sports story, Rules of Contact, by Jaci Burton. The romance poured off the pages while the heat set them ablaze, both penetrating straight through me. Rules of Contact is a good old-fashioned love story full of sweetness, swoon, and smolder with a forbidden twist.

I fell in insta-love with Flynn Cassidy, Defensive End for the San Francisco Sabers, with his dark hair, blue eyes, tall and muscular body, tattoos, dirty mouth, and charming personality. Oh was he the perfect catch. ALL ALPHA. PURE PERFECTION! I LOVED Flynn, and his dirty words and big heart so much.

Review – Mr. Rebound by Kat T. Masen

Mr Rebound is a fun, fast read, with wicked hot sex and intense flirty tension.

If there is one thing you can guarantee while reading a Kat Masen book it’s her hero’s. I find it impossible not to love the hero’s Kat writes, Noah was no different and despite being the biggest douche ever at the start my heart still thumped really hard and I found myself falling for him, big time, during this book.

Unfortunately, I found connecting with Morgan REALLY HARD. Yes her character is meant to be cold and hard and I get it now that I know her story in full BUT I still found it hard to fully like her. Morgan and Noah TOGETHER are fierce and so damn hot, I had to fan myself a few times but I didn’t always feel their loving connection nearer the end, because of Morgan.

My vision could also be clouded because of Kate, the quirky best friend of Noah who I loved immediately, give the woman a book, because I’d devour that baby whole.

What Kat has done with Mr. Rebound is seriously so fun. Watching Noah fall in love was refreshing and I actually felt really smug that Mr Rebound himself could eventually feel and want more. Kat wrote Noah’s fall superbly. The basic storyline of Mr Rebound was also really great, fun and not what I expected at all.

Sometimes you need a quick fix when reading, especially if you are a busy mama or have a demanding job. You need a tale that is going to tempt you to read further but one that you can quickly gobble up in one sitting. You need a story by the dynamic duo of authors, Jade Sinner, which will heat you up but hit your heart along the way. Malcolm, the latest sensation by Jade Sinner, is a sexy and spellbinding story filled with swoon.

From beginning to end, I was beguiled by this book that is pure Jade Sinner BUT BETTER. Even if this story were a full-length novel, I would not have been able to put this intoxicating and intense story down. Malcolm not only burned my body but stormed my soul, hitting my heart where my emotions were engulfed in this short story, pulling at every part of me.

Beautiful brunette and blue-eyed Amanda ‘Mandy’ Wells is lamenting on her life, the life she lost a few years ago when a tragedy took her husband, leaving Mandy alone to raise her baby. Robbed of joy, Mandy focuses on her boy.

The heartache Mandy has endured by age 25 resonated pain that poured into me where I could not stop the waterworks that fell.

I decided to leap blindly into Hard to Fall, the fourth story in the Take the Fall series by Marquita Valentine. Sometimes you just have to take that jump in life and in books. So I jumped, free-falling into Hard to Fall. I had not read any other stories in this series or any of this author’s books. Oh did I fall hard for Hard to Fall, a spellbinding and sexy story of love against the odds that hijacked my heart with a hero who made me swoon.

From the very first page, I sank into this story, submerging myself where I quickly became spellbound. The sweet, small town setting and vibe brought me back to my time living in a little North Carolina town. This Southern gal now living in Europe was transported back into the South where Hard to Fall felt a bit like coming home.

Coming home also meant politics. Growing up in the D.C. suburbs of Virginia, I could not help but live and breathe politics—whether I wanted to or not. I share a dislike of politics just like the hero in this story; his was part of his family where mine was part of my roots.

“It’s our family business that comes first… Walkers are career politicians. Have been since the Revolutionary War…and I f**king hate it.”

Hayden Walker with his dark blond hair, blue eyes, tall, and muscular body is the definition of hot. Speaking of hot, Hayden is a fire captain, every woman’s fantasy. A hardworking and hard-partying fire captain who doesn’t want to follow in his senator father’s political footsteps though it has been Hayden’s destiny since day one. Hayden feels hopeless and that feeling hits me, where I want to tell him to run for the hills and never cave into the cut-throat career of politics that can eat you alive.

I wanted to reach though the pages and hug Saylor and life her low self-esteem that had my heart breaking. Hayden can’t help but be attracted to his the best friend of his best friend’s wife; a woman who keeps crossing his path. A woman who he has no clue is his wife. Saylor is unique and Hayden can’t stop pursuing her.

For a few minutes and pages, I hated this story. I read only a few lines on the first page of the first chapter and instantly loathed the main character: the tall, muscular, and attractive Victor. Hot as hell but one burger shy of a happy meal or nuttier than a five-pound fruitcake.

“Obtaining bits and pieces of her life story takes time, but as my cock aches for her pussy, I know the patience will be worth the reward.”

I’m freaked out yet fire-hot.

He acted like a rude and a royal douche. A dirty talker yet cocky stalker trying to lay claim to an unattainable woman as he compiled a file on her life and habits.

“I’ve worked my way into her predictable world and yet she has no idea of my plans.”

Creeeeepy but somehow commendable. Delusional but dirty and still date-worthy. Twisted Victor grew on me as the story unfolded and his infatuation with the beautiful news anchor, Emily, his co-worker and victim was not as stalker-ish.

“It’s painfully hard with the need to take her, mark her, and make her mine. After all, she is. She always has been. I just need to make her accept it.”

This is not one of the recent sweet and sappy stories that hug your heart that Jade Sinner has recently penned. His to Have is sex and sin, a story that dips into the dark, dirty, and delicious fantasies that wait to be fulfilled. His to Have is explosive, evocative, and enthralling, a love story that is pure pleasure and fantasy fulfillment.

Deceitful Choices is the next standalone romance from CA Harms, that is a beautiful rollercoaster of emotions.
Zack and Lindsey had a really good character connection from the start, I was excited to see where the couple would go.. however I never saw the twist in the story coming and have to applaud CA Harms for the way the story was spun and laid out.

I do have to admit it took me a while to fully connect to this story as a whole, it could have been because of Haven and the fact that she played a big role in a fast paced story. I would have loved to see more of the relationship once Zack and Lindsey reunited at times I did feel things were slightly rushed.

In saying that I really did like this story and loved Zack, as always CA writes utterly delicious men, Zack is no different!! I love CA Harms and her ability to produce good books that are always fresh and new. Deceitful Choices is a solid 4 star read and without as much emphasis on Haven I definitely would have rated it higher.

Some lies you just can’t come back from.

I just watched the AMAZING USA women’s gymnastics team win the team gold in Rio. They were on fire! Brilliant! The Final Five… so talented and made this Olympics so much fun.

It just made me love this book that much more.

Carrie Aarons – a former gymnast herself – has written such a fun, fast paced look into a girl who has sacrificed everything to reach the penancle of success in gymnastics. Her chance to have that gold around her neck in Rio is right within reach – if only she can conquer her fear of falling. This is also the story of a boy who was at the top of his career, the Olympics within his grasp when a tragic injury changed all his dreams forever and ended any chance of becoming an Olympic champion. Natalia Grekov and Spencer Russell embark on a most unconventional and even a little bit forbidden romance between a coach and a gymnast, coupled with the excitement of a chance to see all her hard work come to fruition.

They are attracted to each other from the moment that they meet. Though she wants very much to act on the attraction, Nat must focus on her goals. Emotional ties, especially ties to a coach, are not a part of the plan. Spence can’t seem to shake Nat. He wants her but understands her dedication to her craft. But he sees an opening and takes the chance. He will help Natalia overcome her fear of falling and help her to prefect the dismount that may win her Olympic gold. As they work together, the attraction only gets stronger and stronger until finally there is no way to stop the inevitable. In a tangle of limbs the couple agree to keep their relationship between them.

But even the best laid plans don’t always come together.

This was an inside glimpse into the joy and passion of the competitive world of gymnastics, yes. It was also a glimpse into the ugly under belly of the sport as well. The acts of underhanded aggression. Questionable coaching techniques. The injuries and extremes that the athletes go through to be the best. While reading this, I felt their exhaustion and elation. I felt their frustration, fear and sadness. Most importantly I felt Natalia’s determination to stand at the top of the podium and hear the national anthem and Spence’s pride in her accomplishments. And the steam between them didn’t hurt either.

I so enjoyed Natalia and Spencer’s love story! It was wonderfully written, a very fun and exciting read. Super sexy… Nat and Spence make the gym equipment look like so much naughty fun! Another great sports romance from Carrie Aarons. I’m excited to read the rest of the series. Well done, Carrie!

Ethan realizes that with her he can finally be everything he wants to be – have everything he ever wanted. Still so much stands in the way – his warped family, his obligations and his guilt.

Oh, the steam and instant chemistry between these two! Scorching hot encounters that neither one could forget. Neither could this reader! Delaney and Ethan burn, burn, burn! The family feud left me speechless and angry. How can family be this cruel? The story is wonderfully full of angst, heartbreak, misunderstandings and want for something that should never be. Twist and turns kept me turning the pages. I fell just as hard for the secondary characters – Pops and Phoebe – as I did for Ethan and Delaney. Especially for Pops.

Forbidden Fling is a fantastic look into Wildwood! The Hart sisters, Avery and Chloe, are set to come home soon, and I very excited to see what happens next in this series! This was a fun and fabulous read. Great job, Skye!

She lifted a hand to his face and cupped his jaw. “You’ve been through enough. You have a great life here. A good job, great friends, everyone in town respects and likes you, all the single girls can’t wait for the day you look their way. I’m not going to come into town for a week, or a month, turn everything upside down, and leave. That’s not right.” She ran her thumb over his cheek and smiled. “So we’re good?”

Panic blipped through his chest. He covered her hand with his to keep her from leaving, while he fought for something to say that would fix everything and make her stay. But she was so freaking rational, so goddamned logical, he was having a hard time finding anything to work with. And with the bar, his grandfather, his family, his aunt, and his job in the middle of this, he didn’t even know if he should.

“Delaney, let’s—”

“It’s not a big deal.” She curled her fingers around his and lowered their hands. “And I’m not going to make it one. I just wanted you to know so you wouldn’t worry. I’m good, so we’re good.” She nodded. Smiled again. “Okay?”

Say okay and let her go.

He shifted on his feet.

One little word.

Let her go. Right your world.

“No.” He heaved a sigh and rubbed his eyes. “No, it’s not okay.”

“Ethan . . .”

Her goddammit-I’m-barely-holding-on-here plea was lost on him. He slipped his arms around her waist and pulled her warm little body against his.

She pushed at his shoulders, leaning away. “You know I’m right. You know it’s what you need.”

“No.” He lifted a hand and cupped the back of her neck. “You are what I need.”

He pulled her mouth to his and kissed her. She mewled, the sound frustrated, but her hands fisted in his shirt and held him close.

Ethan softened his mouth, tilted his head, and kissed her again. This time, she whimpered and her body loosened. The feel of her melting against him pushed heat through his body. He moaned and slid the hand at her neck into the silky strands of her hair, and when she parted her lips to gasp, he pushed his tongue into her mouth.

She opened to him immediately, hungrily, and met the stroke of his tongue. The warm, wet slide made everything Ethan had been holding back—the lust, the confusion, the fear, the anger, the want, the longing—break through his barriers like a flood. The wave wiped everything from his mind but Delaney and brought profound relief.

With nothing else invading his thoughts, he focused on the luscious cushion of her breasts against his chest, the soft mound of her sex against his cock, the feel of her small waist beneath his arm.

And, God, her mouth. Wet. Warm. Wild.

He tore out of the kiss, lifting her into his arms and starting for the house. “Fuck, I need you.”

Then her mouth found his again, licking and biting and sucking, while her hands worked on his shirt, and his desperation mounted.

“This is the last time,” she murmured between kisses. “Not happening again.”

Screw that. He turned a half circle and rested her butt on a wide, deep windowsill. Her thighs opened, and she pulled him between her legs.
