Here’s how I read a Lauren Blakely book: First, I sometimes skip the blurb as I don’t even need to read it to know I’ll love whatever crack this author churns; I get high on it all! I proceed with zero caution, diving in, and then devouring as if I am out to get drunk, downing each word like a smooth shot of fine whiskey.

Stud Finder. I don’t need the cover or the blurb to lead me to read because HELLO HOT-AS-HELL TITLE! Off to find a stud! SOLD!!!

This love story is even more spectacular than its clever and self-combusting title. This love story is so SWOONY and SWEET. This love story—this Stud Finder—SWEPT ME AWAY!!!

I was so CHARMED by this flirty fairy tale … HOOK, LINE, and SINKER!!! Sink her…YES, I sank so hard into Stud Finder that I could not and did not stop reading until the end! PURE ADDICTION!!!

Once upon a time beautiful Princess Evie, could not find a prince because she was helping other princesses find their princes. This beautiful princess loved helping others find love but had given up on love for herself. Until she helps the very handsome Prince Dylan, her best friend’s brother, find a princess.

I SMILED at the flirty and witty banter between this hero and heroine. 

“C’mon, Evie. Go wild with me.”

The way he says those words are part-goad, part-flirt, and there’s something about him I can’t resist.

I LAUGHED at and LOVED Dylan’s obvious ogling and deliciously dirty mouth!!! 

I nearly whimpered at her downward dog in front of me. I am a dog as I stare at her ass.

I SWOONED and SMOLDERED as Stud Finder’s alpha in hot nerd packaging made me weak in the knees!!! One of my kryptonite story scenes is when the hero says, F-it, takes the risk, and shocks the heroine speechless with a kiss. When Dylan delivers this take-charge kiss, I WAS DONE!!! A hero who COMMANDS, cupping the heroine’s face, as he plants a sensual, full-body kiss on her is so FREAKIN’ FIRE-HOT and HEADY!!! I am still melting from this scene…JUST YES!!! 

He parts his lips to speak, then mutters, “Fuck it.” He cups my face in his hands and dips his mouth to mine.

Laugh-out-loud funny meets slow-burning love in Stud Finder, a fairy tale guaranteed to make you smile and swoon! Charming characters, combustible chemistry, imaginative and engaging writing, sugary sweetness, and a plot that pulls the reader in make Stud Finder the PERFECT FEEL-GOOD ROMANCE! From my years of devouring this amazing author’s work, I’ve learned several things: A J. Kenner romance is not a story but a SHEER SEDUCTION! As such, this writer’s words always make me sink into her stories. I will ALWAYS ADORE and FOREVER DEVOUR the Starks and their empire of friends and family. I’m devoted to this Stark network of which I’m hopelessly in love.

Honestly, these people are a bit like a puzzle, their lives crossing and overlapping and all of it woven together in a tapestry of friendship and family.

My blood pounds through my body, my heart beating so hard that I can feel the pressure not only against my ribs, but against the wall behind me. My lips are parted, my breath coming in shaky gasps.

Before I began this story, I had to say…Gasp! My name is Karen and I’ve never met the Filthy Beautiful Lies series by Kendall Ryan. Let’s put it this way: I’ve only met Kendall’s rom-coms so I really had no idea to expect from this other delicious side of Kendall.

I dove into Dirty Little Secret, a story about as far away from a rom-com as you could get, and relished my dive into dark territory. I closed out my world and opened up the Dirty Little Secret world where I quickly fell captive to words that made me their prisoner from the first page.

My first thought after inhaling the Prologue:

WHOA!!! Is this the same author who writes those fun and flirty romances?!? I like the dark and dirtier writer Kendall even better. Dark and dirty romance writing fits Kendall Ryan like a glove: oh so perfectly.

From the first page, Dirty Little Secret is a RUSH, a fervor of smolder and smoothness that strikes hard. Pulse-pounding, breath-bating, mind-mesmerizing, heart-hitting, and soul-searing, this STORY STOLE EVERY SENSE and SEDUCED EVERY OUNCE OF ME. Dirty Little Secret pounds hard with a paralyzing intensity, a HEADY and HOT hit of adrenaline straight to the core that POSSESSES ALL THE WAY!!!

With a burst of fate, a hero and heroine collide, embarking on an intensely captivating cat-and-mouse game that is molten-hot and messy.

My heart could not help but bleed for this broken and beautiful man. Gavin’s sinfully sexy spell bound me to him where I was helpless to let go.

“Do I frighten you?” he asked, amused.

“Of course not,” I lied.

“Good, because you terrify me, he murmured.”

The connection between this hero and heroine is INTENSE where I felt it through my bones—a shiver through me—a bond with strength in spades. Fire fused with fate. The push and pull had me panting…wanting…needing more.
