Despite being hurt and disappointed in Cassie, Derek agrees to talk to Cassie. Together they learn alot about each other and the assumptions that they have made about each other. Maybe he was wrong to believe that Cassie is just like her privileged and entitled family. Maybe she should have stood up to her family a very long time ago. The chemistry between is undeniable. That has never gone away. Can these two find a way to make their back to each and give love a second chance?

I loved this story! It was everything that I’ve come to expect from another amazing Carly Phillips story – amazing passion, sweet and senual romance…. strong sexy I’m-not-stopping-until-I-get-the girl alphas, fiercely independent leading ladies that we grow to adore and secondary characters that make us take a second and third look. If Carly had ended the series with Derek with the readers knowing that he, Kaden and Lucas had found their happily ever after this series would be complete and totally satisfying. Alas, that’s not Carly’s style. She gave another glimpse at a couple whose story is waiting to be told … and I cannot wait to see what Carly has up her sleeves!
