I so enjoyed this latest installment of the McKinney Brothers series by Claudia Connor. I stand by what I have told Claudia previously – Worth The Fall was one of the very best impulse buys I have ever done. JT and Paige’s love story only added to my love of this sweetly romantic series!

JT McKinney was living and loving his life. Devastatingly handsome and a star college quarterback, all of JT’s dreams ended after a tragic accident with his girlfriend. The nineteen year old wakes up in the hospital and his leg has been amputated. Weighed down by the demands of rehab and overwhelmed by grief, JT makes his way from Virginia to California to rebuild his life.

JT becomes incredibly successful. As a biomedical engineer, he gets to make and perfect protheses for other amputees like him. Still riddled with guilt, Jake throws himself into his work and into his business. That is, until Paige Roberts enters his life. She’s a beautiful hardworking single mother trying to better the life of her daughter Casey. Between two jobs and college classes, Paige doesn’t have time for dates, let alone love. She doesn’t have time to believe in the fairy tales she reads to her very special daughter. But as Paige spends more time with Jake and the two bond over Casey, a very special magic grows between them.

Oh, I was happy throughout this entire book! Paige and JT have such a sweet, slow burning relationship. Even as Paige is torn between taking care of her daughter and being true to her heart, I felt such a connection between them. JT had his own insecurities to conquer in order to be all his girls needed him to be. There were so many sigh worthy romantic moments shared. And Casey? Adorable, inquisitive, heartwarming bundle of energy – how could I not love her?

Such a wonderful, soul warming read! And to think that Claudia struggled with this story and Worth It All almost never was! Matt McKinney (Worth The Fall) will always hold a special place for me, but his brother certainly could give him a run for his money! Great job, Claudia! Fantastic!
