“Nothing’s getting past me,” I assured her.

Her breath washed over my lips as I leaned in to kiss her again when she whispered, “I thought we were talking about you.”

I paused for a few seconds, then looked up into her hazel eyes. “What?”

“I think I’m in danger from you.”

My brow pulled tight, and I forced out a low, frustrated laugh. “Me.”

She nodded again, the movement of her head so slow as her eyes explored mine. “I need you to let me go for so many reasons, but I easily forget why when you don’t. I think there was a reason neither of us crossed that invisible barrier before today. Because being in your arms?” She hesitated, her tongue quickly darting out to wet her lips. “Trust me, it’s dangerous.”

A weight pressed down on my chest, making it hard to breathe. Because damn it if she wasn’t right.

There were dozens of girls over the years who’d meant nothing more than a night. Maybe two. Not one could I remember the name of, most I couldn’t remember their face.

Then there’d been one who I would’ve sold my soul for if I could’ve had one more night with her.

My days with her had been everything. A slow burn that had built over time until I hadn’t been able to get enough of her. Until she’d meant too much.

Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland

Well, I’ve sat on my review for a day now. I’m not sure I can ever put into words how mind blowing Beautiful Mistake actually was. Once again I’m IN AWE of Vi’s words and lyrical talent.

Beautiful Mistake is a MASTERPIECE. I honestly do not know how Vi repeatedly writes books THIS GOOD. I mean each and every book captivated and consumes. Each and every book feels fresh and flows perfectly. However, this book excelled all those previous to it. It eclipsed her previous works for me. Vi made this book SO MUCH MORE. Beautiful Mistake is like a symphony. As we progressed deeper and deeper into the book the beat of my heart gradually began to beat faster, my breaths came harder, with each and every build of the masterpiece Vi stole my heart.

Beautiful Mistake touches on a student/teacher romance. There is no huge age gap and it’s more a Professor/TA romance but it still managed to have that forbidden aspect that made this book sizzle and burn. Throughout we get flashbacks of a past that pulls at every emotion, flooding the senses with a desperate need to know what happened. The suspense that weaves through this book was intense and addicting. As with all Vi’s books, there was trademark comedy, laugh out loud one liners and scenarios that left me giggling and falling deep in love with our hero and heroine.

I looove Caine West. I’m 100% infatuated with him. He’s something else people. His words made my burn up and turned me to goo AT THE SAME TIME. He’s dirty, so dirty, but so raw, swoony and really romantic. Vi seriously does write some of the best hero’s EVER. Coupled with Caine was the fantastic, Rachel. Rachel was the PERFECT heroine for Caine. Super sweet, so funny and incredibly sexy. They matched together perfectly and stole my heart, while they fought for each others.

Beautiful Mistake consumed me. It became my addiction and I devoured this heartbreakingly beautiful romance. It undoubtedly became a favourite of mine and a top read of 2017!

Sexy Beast is just that. A sexy beast of a read that is EASILY Piper Rayne’s BEST BOOK YET!
This book is super sexy. I loved EVERY MINUTE of it. Garrett is my FAVE single dad yet! Lordy, that man was insanely hot, moody, broody, delicious and hella dirty!

His relationship with Charleigh was EXPLOSIVE. The undeniable attraction and chemistry between Garrett and Charleigh was palpable.

This story well and truly packed a punch though, with an intense slow burn, alongside a heartbreaking past that Garrett endured, my emotions were well and truly stirred up. Mix that with a forbidden aspect of best friends little sister romance and Sexy Beast was a WINNER!

I absolutely ADORED these two as a couple and breezed through their story with blissful ease.

I loved this sexy, sinful romance and cannot wait for more Piper Rayne goodness.

It’s time.

Time to get a life.

The Unrequited by Saffron A Kent

Incredible. Absolutely INCREDIBLE. I’m speechless.

That was the first line I wrote for this review and then sat for 2 hours thinking about what I could actually say. I’m still a little all over the place and lost for words. This book is ANGSTY PERFECTION. For me that was an absolute winner. But, that’s not all. This is a student/teacher romance *fist bump*. It’s taboo and raw and gritty. It’s uncomfortable in places then it’s simple and easy in other places. The flow and masterful mixing of all the subject matter is done with delicate precision. It’s so obvious to see that these characters meant so much to the author and she took her time making their story as true as it was. As brutal as it was. As breathtaking as it was.

“I’ll pour the gasoline, light the match, and watch you burn, Layla—and trust me, you’re going to love it. I’m going to ruin you for every other man out there and you’re going to love every second of it.”

I want to say that I shouldn’t have loved Thomas as much as I did. I shouldn’t have liked him at all. I won’t say why because I’ll give too much away but trust me I just shouldn’t have liked him. But, and here is where Saffron blew me away.. I slowly fell in love with a broken, beast of a man who shut himself off and pushed everyone away. I fell in love with his undying devotion to EVERY character in this book. It’s a contradiction I know, but, that push and pull from him alone was done so well, it’s where a lot of the angst came in and I loved it. I fell in love with HIM. And Saffron made that possible.

“Because I’m a girl who’s not supposed to be the love of someone’s life, not with my selfishness. I was meant to live in the shadows and secrets. I can be Thomas’ secret, for a little while, at least— until I absorb all of his pain and set him free.”

Saffron also made it possible for me to adore Layla. The crazy, messed up, beautifully broken Layla. This woman may not click with everyone, some may find her way too crazy. But the beauty of all this was in the way Saffron wrote Layla making her beliefs honest, so gut wrenchingly honest.

Anyone who has been in love knows that love can make you crazy. Anyone who’s been in love and not had it returned can make you crazy. It’s a fact that love does make us crazy and while The Unrequited focuses on that crazy side of love and the raw, brutal journey it can take you on, it also focuses on the beauty, the hope and the strength that can develop from love.

“The tiny words on the paper seem to have risen and attached themselves to my skin. I feel them everywhere, all the time, as if I know them.”

This quote contains SO MUCH TRUTH. This book is under my skin, coursing through my veins. The Unrequited is not your sweet and flowery romance. It’s not boy meets girl, fall in love all sweet and swoony. No, this book is raw, it’s brutal, it’s gritty and uncomfortable it’s dangerous but it’s filled with intensity, explosive passion, heat, honesty and all consuming love. And it will stay with me for a long time and quite easily become one of my TOP reads of 2017.

Layla Robinson is not crazy. She is suffering from unrequited love. But it’s time to move on. No more stalking, no more obsessive calling.

What she needs is a distraction. The blue-eyed guy she keeps seeing around campus could be a great one—only he is the new poetry professor—the married poetry professor.

In one night, I sucked down Tarryn Fisher’s words like they were my air to breathe, inhaling Atheists Who Kneel and Pray. Tarryn Fisher breathes life into a story that hits straight to the heart. I knew that only after a few words, this soul-searing story would be MY EVERYTHING and that it was.

I couldn’t bring myself to the end that night so I savored that last ten percent the next day….

Then I sat, STUNNED SPEECHLESS, as the full force of this storm of a story HIT ME, this hurricane in words. Tears streamed down my face, eyes that were etched for a while with the waterworks that fell hard from mere words…words that wielded PASSION and POWER in spades. I just died and went to ROMANCE HEAVEN, Jilted there by LOVE…so much LOVE for Sawyer Bennett’s latest love story!!! Second-chance romances are my weakness, and Jilted was my DREAMY DRUG. I am still HIGH on this romance!!!

This story…I did not expect it to UTTERLY CAPTIVATE and CONSUME ME from the very first page. Jilted paraded its pages in front me like Miss America, flaunting its Hollywood glitz and glamor while DAZZLING ME with small town charm. A Southern hero and heroine sealed the deal for this Southern gal, as like loves like. There is nothing sweeter than a small town romance, especially one of soulmates.

Eden, a small town-turned Hollywood starlet with one of my favorite names, is as beautiful as she is bold. This heroine is a mix of strength, sweetness, and sass. I bowed to her ‘take no prisoners meets Southern lady’ character.

Cooper is ALL-ALPHA PERFECTION: tall, built, sexy, smart, strong, stubborn, and sweet. This alpha is a Southern gentlemen by day and delicious dominant at night with both a dirty and sugary sweet mouth that is bound to make you melt.

When I’m about to meet a new or new-to-me author’s writing for the first time, it’s a HUGE HIGH. The anticipation … the wonder … the unknown … it’s all such a RUSH!!! I finally met KA Tucker’s words in Until It Fades, and was WOWED by the depth and dominance of her writing. I REVELED in this story’s POWER. ALL-CONSUMING and AWE-INSPIRING, Until It Fades is a Cinderella story that casts a spell on the heart and soul.

I DEVOURED Until It Fades in a day. Hours was all it took to breathe in this book, inhaling the words like air, my feels the fumes that floated around me. This romance is a SLOW BURN and oh did I burn for this book!!! I was CAUGHT as the words pulled me in, CLAIMED by both a brave hero and heroine who I loved right away, and CAPTIVATED by this story that struck my soul and held my heart in its hands.

I ADORED and ADMIRED one of the strongest heroines I’ve ever read in Catherine. Like her Greek name, she is a warrior, a goddess of strength. Catherine puts the ‘hero’ in heroine, a young woman who made mistakes in her past and lives with them daily, but unexpectedly finds redemption one night when a stranger’s life collides with hers. Catherine goes from ‘Scarlett letter-stamped’ to savior in one night to a strange man who, perhaps, was not her accidental meeting but her fate.

Does he feel what I’m feeling, too? Is his heart racing right now? Or is it just me?

Brett, hot and humble hockey captain, is PURE PERFECTION. I LOVED this alpha with a huge heart!!! This man is a knight in shining armor but his hero is no damsel in distress.

With each encounter between Brett and Catherine meet, it’s a collision of chemistry.
