HOLY HOTNESS!!! Stacey has written the hottest story yet. While it does contain BDSM, there is so much more to the story. I guarantee you won’t put it down until you finish.
Rebecca grew up around abuse. Her father user to beat her mother and then her. This makes her hold back in relationships with men. She simply can’t trust that they will not hurt her.
Bennett is not only her boss, but soon to be dom. After pleading from her best friend Miranda, to join her and her man at Luminous for new year’s Eve . She has no problem putting her foot down to refuse. In the end, she gives in but never expected to see her boss on stage doing a scene. He makes eye contact across the room, and the rest is history.
Watching these two go through the ups and downs of this relationship was completely mesmerizing. This definitely a must read for steam and emotions.

Sometimes you need a quick fix when reading, especially if you are a busy mama or have a demanding job. You need a tale that is going to tempt you to read further but one that you can quickly gobble up in one sitting. You need a test drive into new author territory before jumping behind the wheel. Anotholgies like Eye Candy are the perfect places to test drive authors’ words before you thrust full throttle into their books.

When you always wish your favorite authors would write a bit more about their beloved characters that you love and then your wish is granted from a genie called the anthology. The Eye Candy anthology, a collection of short stories from many amazing authors in one book, is that glorified quickie we readers sometimes crave….that wham-bam-thank you, sir or ma’am.

As I only met two series out of the five that the Eye Candy anthology features, I read and reviewed those.

SO MUCH MORE – J. DANIELS

Smoldering sex, sweet surprises, endearing moments, Halloween haunts, and friends who are family make up So Much More! J. Daniels gives readers with more Bama Boys, back to the series of Southern sass, steam and swoon. Each Eye Candy chapter blesses us with a Bama Boy’s point-of-view, an insight into what’s happened since the series stopped.

Ben and Mia return and they are as cute and captivating as ever, especially as parents who still are hot for each other. Their family life is so sweet…so endearing and I loved the sneak peek into their life with littles.

This need—this overwhelming desire to taste and touch and fuck this woman never goes away. Never lessens in the slightest. It’s always there.

Reed and Beth keep the kink in marriage and you have to applaud their Christian Grey creativity. One word: rope! I missed Reed’s deliciously dirty mouth and loved getting a taste.

“Watching you with that rope is driving me crazy. Because I know what you can do with that rope, Reed. I know exactly what you can do with it. And I want that.”

Luke and Tessa are still as feisty as ever and always entertaining couple. I like my alphas a little tarnished and perfectly imperfect, and Luke is all that and more. Tessa always makes me both laugh and gasp in shock…no filter. I LOVE her and still want to be her bestie!

I shouldn’t get off on riling Tessa up and getting a helluva lot of lip from her, but I do. And she gets off on giving it.

Tully and Riley…the best for last and oh do they have a sweet surprise! Tully is still my favorite Bama boy who is entertaining and endearing to me!

This is real—the way she’s looking at me. Those big, blue flames burning me up the way they always do.

That ‘darlin,’ a Southern gal’s kryptonite, gets me every time.

“We were always meant for this, darlin’.”

That Tully charm is twisted around me and I’ll never let it go. I’ll never want to let go of the Bama Boys.

GETTING DOWN – HELENA HUNTING

Heat, humor, and heart make up one delicious delight as Helena Hunting weaves her writing magic into Getting Down. Cinderella meets superheroes and one villain or two in a fierce and fire-hot fairytale that leaves you wanting more. You’ll end this taste of a treat needing the next novel by Helena Hunting, Hooking Up, to satisfy the ache that Getting Down leaves.

The chemistry continues to combust between Bancroft ‘Bane’ and Ruby! These two were created for each other. I loved them both so much!

Serious Bancroft makes me want to get naked. All versions of Bane make me want to get naked, but when he’s all scowly and furrowed brow it makes my lady parts want attention.

Ruby channeled her inner Violet and I was in HUMOR HEAVEN!

“Naughty girl.” He drags a knuckle along my slit. “You’re ready for my cock right now, aren’t you.”

Holy hot! Bane’s deliciously dirty words turned me into wanton woman.

Throw Ruby’s bestie, Amie, along with Bancroft’s cousin, Armstrong, and his brother, Lexington, into the mix and things quickly get interesting and oh-so-more intoxicating! Getting Down bleeds angst along with humor and heart!

I turn away from Lexington so I don’t succumb to the urge to look at his abs again.

A taste of Bane’s brother, Lex, left me wanting a bigger bite. I also can’t wait for Amie’s story as that bit of fire she showed in Getting Down made me want to see more of Amie’s flames.

I LOVED getting down with GETTING DOWN, which lit me up in laughter, blazed my body, and shot sparks to my heart and soul!!! Packed with humor, heat, and heart, Getting Down is a rom-com that delivers it all!

Eye Candy is full of tricks and this perfect treat SATISFIES EVERYWHERE! This anthology is a compilation of character favorites, beloved heroes and heroines who feel like family. Eye Candy is the sweetest reunion; it feels like coming home. Like the finest chocolate, Eye Candy is an ADDICTION where you’ll ache for MORE!

If there is one constant in reading for me it’s the potent and pleasurable high, the giddy delight I get when meeting a new or new-to-me author’s words. That rush during that initial read is off-the-charts incredible! I just popped my Stacy Kestwick book cherry with Drumline that was more of an explosion because HOLY HOT and HEADY READ!!!

I rarely rate a new-to-me-author the highest for my blog—six stars—but HOLY WOW!!! Drumline was THAT GOOD! From the very first page, Drumline was my DRUG and I could not inhale this tale fast enough. Amusing. Arousing. Angst-filled. Addicting. Awe-inspiring. I was so CAPTIVATED and CONSUMED that I devoured—more like demolished—this romance in one night!!! After just a few pages, I six-starred this spellbinding story. One new-to-me-author … one book … one night … one sitting … and my world was ROCKED!!! Where has Stacy Kestwick been all of my book-loving life?!?

Oh where do I start with the hero and heroine who both stole my heart from the start?!? I adored and admired this cast of strong and captivating characters who felt real, characters Stacy Kestwick flawlessly brought to life. The hero and heroine are absolute PERFECTION together!

Laird. First let’s take a moment of silence in appreciation of that SUPER SEXY, Viking-God-like name: LAIRD. JUST hot…SO HOT!!! Green eyes, tall, cut, stubble, AND ink?!? SOLD to the blonde with matching green eyes licking her lips! (That’s me.) Laird had me at green eyes, the color of my own that I happen to love! This captain of the college Drumline team is not only melt-worthy in looks but his flirty and dirty-talking demeanor seals the deal! Just toss my ovaries in Laird’s lap now please!

Stacy Kestwick has written the perfect hero in Laird: a tall, inked, muscular, sweet, sexy, swoony, and dirty-talking alpha who is hot with a huge heart. PURE PERFECTION. Just YES!!!

One lucky gal has Laird saluting everywhere in attention: Reese. Beautiful, tall, and new recruit to Laird’s Drumline team, Reese, is totally off-limits.

Oh did Laird make me BURN everywhere! I was on fire, blazing at the heat that poured from this hot hero’s mouth.

My heart shattered and soared, pounding through my chest like the beat of the Drumline. In a love story that is the sweetest of SURPRISES, Drumline simply BLEW ME AWAY!!!

“I shouldn’t be here.” My voice sounded weak and a bit defensive as I looked at his neck, his chin, his nose—anywhere but his kryptonite green eyes.

“Wrong. This is exactly where you should be.”

His hand closed around my wrist and he pulled me out of the endless Alabama heat into the coolness of his townhouse, then crowded me against the wall. Before I could protest, before I could even take a breath, his mouth was on mine, desperate, hungry, and so damn hot. Rational thought fled my mind. This is the delicious fun that I have come to know from Alexx Andria! A dark hero and the fiesty girl… steamy sexy chemistry. Don’t forget the wicked push and pull between said dark hero and his fiesty girl. Throw in a Buchanan or two that we have had the pleasure of meeting in Alexx’s previous series, and you have Temporary. Don’t think that you’re going to be able to read a little of this and walk away for a few hours. Oh no! This book kept pulling me back every time that I tried to walk away. The story is so well written and just so much fun to read that I didn’t want to stop until I was done. I even found myself highlighting passages and sending them to my blog mates just so they could read the hot steamy, jaw dropping scenes right along with me!

Maybe it’s because I LOVE SPORTS ROMANCES, my favorite romance genre next to rocker reads.

Maybe because childhood friends-to-lovers romances are my weakness…my kryptonite.

Maybe it’s because I need to lose myself completely in stories, feeling every word.

No…not maybe at all…but YES!!! YES to all of these and more! Lauren Blakely wrote SO MUCH MORE than a sports meets friends-to-lovers romance!!!The Most Valuable Playboy is a love story of HAPPY FEELS and FATE, a romance of DREAMS and DESTINY. This book is BLISS, and it wholeheartedly CAPTIVATED ME, calling to my heart and soul, CONSUMING ME from beginning to end. My first thought while reading The Most Valuable Playboy: This is really a guy writing this book as the perspective is on point. Lauren Blakely SLAYS the MALE POINT-OF-VIEW (POV) like a boss, nailing it like a playboy quarterback to the cheerleading squad. I didn’t even miss the female POV as Lauren Blakely wove enough dialogue into the story to bring depth to both the hero and heroine.

Cooper is an up-and-coming NFL quarterback, a player on and off the field. Gorgeous with sun-kissed brown hair and bright brown eyes, tall, chiseled, and cut…beautiful inside and out. Hot Cooper is also a dirty talker who delivers the big Os with ease. I LOVED this hero!!!!

Beautiful dark-haired and dark-eyed Violet is Cooper’s childhood friend. Sassy, sexy, strong and smart, Violet is gal who could so be my bestie. I ADORED this heroine!

Friends…staying the friend zone is easy until they have to fake a relationship to help Cooper’s career. Then the game gets tough as lines are blurred…

Bait is a must read!

Dark and twisted. There was no putting this down once I started. Jade has written some of the dirtiest, kinkiest books I have ever read. But with this story, she has truly shown some incredible talent. Bait had me turned around, flabbergasted and craving more with each turn of the page. Leo and Abigail’s tale is not one for the faint of heart. This book will either draw you in completely or have you running as far away as possible. I chose to fall in with my mind and heart wide open, both feet totally jumping in for one of the best reads of the year.

Leo and Abigail both have a past filled with horrible losses. Both have an empty place in their hearts that can only seem to be filled by fulfilling their darkest needs. One desires to be prey. The other to be the predator. Abigail ran from the pain of her past but has always dreamed that she is being chased by the dark monster, one who uses her for his own dark desires once she is caught. Abigail believes that until she has the wish fulfilled she can’t move forward and sets a plan in motion to make her nightmare a reality. Leo, the Phoenix, is a single father with a child that refuses to speak after the loss of his mother, a brother who is a thorn in his side and a demon inside him. He is the dark monster. A past filled with angry unanswered questions has made him so. A chance meeting online with Abigail will change the course of his life in ways that he never dreamed.

Leo is big, tatted… just a beautiful man wanting to take care of his son, his sister and his business. He’s never been able to let go of the past, and he has the scars on the outside to prove it. Abigail is fragile and torn a part after her image of love and family was scattered into a million pieces. Her heart and mind have been damaged. I saw Abigail trying to get through the day, faking her way through her life until she could finally feel something. The emotions between these two are so real, so heartbreakingly close to the surface. Their story, their coming together so enthralled and captured me.

This is a fantasy unlike any that I have read in a very long time. It was brilliantly written, breathtaking and exciting. There was no staying away from this story. I had to see it through to the end. This was Jade West at her best. I was blindsided by how much I enjoyed this suspenseful, heart pounding tale of two people and their desire to find peace in the chaos, fulfillment in the emptiness of their pain and resolution so that they could move forward together. An amazingly powerful read! Absolutely stunning!

Jade has increasingly little to say about herself as time goes on, other than the fact she is an author, but she’s plenty happy with this. Living in imaginary realities and having a legitimate excuse for it is really all she’s ever wanted.

Jade is as dirty as you’d expect from her novels, and talking smut makes her smile.
She lives in the Herefordshire countryside with a couple of hounds and a guy who’s able to cope with her inherent weirdness.

She has a red living room, decorated with far more zebra print than most people could bear, and fights a constant battle with her addiction to Coca-Cola.

The giddy delight I get when I meet a new or new-to-me author’s words is BOOKWORM BLISS! That rush during that initial read is off-the-charts incredible! I just popped my Nora Flite book cherry that was more of an explosion because HOLY ADRENALINE-FILLED ADVENTURE!!! After Our Kiss is HAUNTING and HEART-POUNDING, a hard-fought love story that will render you BREATHLESS!

The After Our Kiss Prologue broke my heart, sending it and me into a black hole in a story that sank into my soul from the start. As a mother, I was petrified. As a reader, I was utterly enthralled. As a romantic, I was hopeful.

This the tale of a man labeled a monster and a kidnapped girl who are thrown together, perhaps by fate, as they battle good and evil while wading through the dark to see the light.

Five hours it’s taken me to write this review. Five hours of thoughts, words & emotions that are wildly thrashing around inside me. I always find it a struggle to review the books that knock me off my feet and affect me deeply. Clandestine by Ava Harrison did just that. I was not expecting this book to role the way it did. I was not expecting this book to hit me as deep as it did. I am a whirlwind of EMOTIONS! I’m just OVERWHELMED.

Clandestine is hands down Ava’s best book yet. This is not a happy dancing rom-com and I wasn’t expecting it to be. With Ava you always know you will get your soul smashed and your heart broken, in the best way possible of course, but there was something about Ava’s writing in Clandestine that just draws you in and consumes you. I don’t think I’ve felt so connected to a female character in a long time! And I am SO IN LOVE with this male character that I feel like he’s printed on my marrow.

Olivia made my heart ache. The way Ava wrote her was sublime. Every woman will relate to Olivia in some way. Every woman will understand her, even if it’s just one part of her, she will connect with you somehow. All of her feelings and emotions are REAL. And they hit deep.

Spencer is a beast! He’s raw and powerful, cocky and ambitious, sexy and hella sinful, but he too is broken. Without even realising I fell hard for this hero super quickly. His sinful, swoony ways made it easy and as the book progressed I just couldn’t help myself.

But together they are intense, passionate and HOT. A raging inferno. Ava NAILS their connection from the very first time they meet.

Character aside, Ava delivers a hard hitting, emotional story that written so precisely. Ava handled all the topics this story touches on with dedication and care. The raw, intensity of Ava’s words made this already beautiful novel even more so. Clandestine is forever embedded in my heart.

What words to use to describe Jackson Cade? Bossy, arrogant… a total jerk. Demanding, foul mouthed and brutally honest. I absolutely loved him! With a capital L!

Felicity York dearly loves her father and the restaurant that he started with his late wife. It is home to her and the people that work for her father depend on them to survive. She will do whatever it takes to save the struggling business, even go groveling to the man that holds her father’s $20,000 debt – Jackson Cade. Jackson Cade is… well, wow. Totally alpha, commanding and dirty. He’s absolutely divine! Sweet when I least expected him to be. The man is as passionate about his business as he is about Felicity. She’s his – no one else’s – and he sets out to make her understand this. Flick is as brave as she is beautiful. Selfless and loyal to a fault with an indepedent streak a mile wide. I admired her strength and her ability to stand up for herself and what she wanted. She is such a positive influence on Jackson, slowly changing the hardcore businessman into someone that she not only loves but likes. These two together are sinful, steamy and sultry! Their story made me breathless. More than once I sat back from my kindle and if I smoked, I would have grabbed a lighter and an ashtray.

This was one FANTASTIC debut from Kira Bloom! Auctioned is amazingly written and grabbed me from the beginning. The writing duo have created such great chemistry in this book and strong characters that I wanted to know. When I finished I wanted more from Jackson, Flick and the people around them. I’m excited to see what this duo has next up their sleeve. Wonderful read that I highly recommend!
