5 sinfully delicious stars for Melanie and David. This book was great from beginning to end. It is angst filled, steamy, frustrating, and fulfilling.
Maxim traveled to Russia with nothing but a carry on and wasn’t picked up by his friend. After waiting hours, he decides to get in a cab and go into the city where he will eat and get a hotel for the night. He winds up in the right place at the right time, even though his belongings are stolen right out from under his feet. The bar owner feels awful and calls her brother to help amd put him up for the night.
Derek reluctantly gives into his sister and picks up Maxim. Being around Maxim is making all those feelings he’s suppressed for years come to the surface. He tries so hard to fight the attraction, but a man can only take so much.
The road is rocky. The road is long. The road is painful. The road is sinfully delicious. In the end, the road is perfected and all is right in the world of Maxim and Derek.

Being the object of his covert glances and maybe even his darkest, dirtiest thoughts. I let our arms touch more than necessary, as thrilled by the physical contact as I was by the thought of what it might be doing to him.

My dick started to get hard, clearly unbothered by the whiskey that was breaking down my inhibitions, pushing past all my defenses, and letting my imagination run wild.

“Carolyn is so nice,” he said, handing me the last serving dish left to be dried.

He turned off the water. Rested his wet hands on the edge of the sink. “I didn’t realize you had a girlfriend.”

And I heard it in his voice—the slightest edge of jealousy, so faint I might never have noticed it had I not been so hyperaware of everything about him right now. I fucking loved it.

“She’s not my girlfriend.”

“Oh.” Now there was confusion. “I guess I misunderstood.”

“She wants to be my girlfriend.”

Silence.

Of course there was silence. Maxim would never ask what the problem was. But I wanted to tell him. I wanted him to know. I wanted to share the impossible longing I felt with one person who might understand it.

“The problem is me.”

He was completely still. Before I could stop myself, I covered his right hand with my left. “Sometimes I don’t know what I want.”

He yanked his hand from beneath mine and we faced each other.

For the first time tonight, I looked him right in the eye. Nothing around us existed for me anymore. I heard only his breath. Smelled only his skin. Saw only his guarded expression.

My rating is 6 out of 5 stars

6 stars but worth all the stars.
I’m in a total book hangover of the best variety. I am so stiff because I just sat here and read this book from start to finish in one setting. I didn’t get up to eat or anything else. Marni and Gia Are two of my favorite authors but put them together and you’re blown out of this world with talent.

I went into reading this book without reading any details because I wanted to be completely surprised for what I was in for. I must say my mind is blown and there is no way I can start another book right away. I need to enjoy this hangover as long as possible.
I really don’t want to get into the actual plot because so many things happened that I was not expecting and I want you to experience that too. This book was extremely intense. You will have so many feelings because there are alot of players involved.
The storyline was perfection. The sex was off the charts, stock up on batteries, hot!! Be prepared to be sucked into a world of lies, betrayal, steam, and love. An absolute must read.

When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson.

6 emotional, heartgripping stars
Once again Nicole has delivered a book beyond expectations. This isn’t the first time I’ve picked up one of her books thinking it would go one way and went the total opposite direction, which I love so much. There was a slow burn that just made you not want to let go of your kindle.
I loved Soren from the moment he made an appearance. He is such a sweetheart and I find that so refreshing in a book world where we are so used.to alpha males beating their chests. Don’t get me wrong, Soren definitely has possessive and protective qualities.

Hayden is a small town girl coming to the big city to try to make it big modeling. She had no idea what she’s gotten herself into. When she discovers her roommate is a guy, her whole world is flipped upside down.
These two are absolutely adorable and everything I want to read in a romance. I always look forward to all things Nicole Williams for this very reason.

Soren Decker. He’s the epitome of the “bad boy, good man” persona. The best of both worlds. The worst of them too. He’s the type of guy most girls would not mind sharing a confined space with, except my new roommate isn’t all swagger and chiseled abs.

He’s bossy. Messy. Cocky. Infuriating. Doesn’t believe in personal space. Has no qualms about roaming the apartment with a loincloth-sized towel cinched around his waist. Seems under the delusion he’s my personal protector (refer back to infuriating). He plays college baseball and holds down a part-time job—I don’t know where he finds the time to get on my nerves.

We’re got nothing in common . . . except for one thing. Our attraction to one another. And in six hundred square feet of shared space, the tension only has so much room to grow before one of us gives in to temptation. But really, what chance do a couple of young kids chasing their dreams in the big city have of making it?

Since Soren claims I know squat about sports (he might have a semi-point), here’s a stat for him—one in a million. That’s our odds.

“Coming in,” I announced, opening the door and stepping inside. A plume of steam rolled over me, instantly coating my skin in a hot, dewy shield. “Hot shower?”
“Hell of a lot better than the cold one I took a couple of nights ago.”
His voice echoed off the walls as I focused on squeezing a glob of toothpaste onto my brush. It was difficult. I found myself quite distracted by the knowledge he was naked behind that thin shower curtain, a whole three feet away.
Just as I was about to stick my toothbrush into my mouth, the shower cranked off, the curtain whipping open right after.
Soren. Wet. Exposed.
Giant.
My eyes clamped shut, but it wasn’t fast enough. From the low chuckle he gave, he hadn’t missed my two-second gape.
“Soren!”
“Sorry. Water got cold.”
I gave him a few seconds to cover up before I opened my eyes and got back to brushing my teeth. He hadn’t covered up though.
“What are you doing? Grab a towel.” My arm flailed in the direction of where we kept our fresh towels hanging from the rack. My eyes felt like they were about to go crossed from staying focused on my reflection instead of his naked one in the same mirror.
“Out of fresh towels. Haven’t gotten around to the laundry.” He moved up beside me at the sink, reaching for his own toothbrush. He was standing so close, his wet arm was brushing against mine.
Don’t look down. Don’t look down. Don’t look at the giant—
Crap. I looked.
He was grinning at me as he brushed his teeth, my face crimson thanks to what I’d glanced at.
“See anything you like?”
My body was still buzzing from what I’d seen that I liked. I kind of hated him for calling me out on it though. I kind of even hated him for having so much to like.
“I know what you’re doing.” My eyebrow rounded as I got to work brushing my teeth too.
He spit in the sink, somehow winding up closer to me when he leaned back up. “Air drying?”
My eyes narrowed in the mirror at him. “Trying to change my mind.”
He stared back, brushing his teeth in all of his naked glory, a cocky tenor to his expression. Once he finished brushing, he rinsed his toothbrush and turned toward the door.
“I don’t need to change your mind,” he said, pausing when he was directly behind me.
When he turned, I swore I could feel his arms coming around me, pulling me into the shelter of his strong body. An involuntary shudder spilled down my back. He didn’t miss that either.
“I just need you to speak it instead of lying about it.” His eyes dropped to the back of my neck, where I knew he could see the raised flesh. I knew, because one side of his mouth lifted.
Bracing my hands on the sink, I didn’t blink as I locked eyes with him in the mirror. “It takes a lot more than washboard abs and a giant . . .” Crap. Something else. “Ego to get my attention.”
Soren leaned forward, his hands framing around the outsides of mine, his arms running the length of mine. His chest didn’t touch my back, but I could feel its expanse hovering above it. “I’ve already gotten your attention.” His eyes dropped from mine to my chest. Where it was rising and falling noticeably hard, my nipples pushing through my camisole. “I’m looking for something else.”
Another shudder, this one spilling down my legs. “What?”
His crooked smile changed into a cryptic one before he leaned back and opened the door. “You’ll see.”
“Soren—”
“Don’t worry. I’ll tell you when you give it to me.”
My fist curled around my toothbrush as I turned toward him. “I’m not giving you anything.”
“You’re giving me something right now.” He didn’t glance back before leaving the bathroom. Did he really need to have that nice of an ass when he already had a glorious package? I was screwed. “This point goes to Decker.”

I feel like I must start this review by saying I have a love/hate relationship with novellas. On the one hand I love the fact that novellas are quick reads that you can squeeze in, in between others BUT I also sometimes feel that novellas have something missing, are rushed and always leave me wanting SO MUCH MORE from the story, so very rarely can I give a novella 5 stars…

However, I’m doing a total 180 after reading TWISTED. Because I’m giving it ALL THE STARS!! Honestly, I haven’t read a novella/short story THIS GOOD in a lonnnng time.

Twisted is a quick read, that does move fast but misses NOTHING. There is sizzling sexual tension. Creative character connection that thrills to the very core. Burning hot chemistry. A story that was a joy and utter pleasure to read. And even after finishing I can scream that I want more but I want more of Jasper & Fannin. Everything else was there, nothing was lacking. Twisted had it all.

Mandi Beck sure knows how to write men. Hot, delicious, sinful, alpha men. She has wrote two of my ultimate fave hero’s ever and Jasper is now sitting pretty up there with them. Jasper is a swoony, swoony bastard. He made my heart go pitter patter and my stomach almost take off with the amount of butterflies it had flapping inside it. He’s raw, dirty, sexy, manly, swoony, did I say that? Wait, did I mention he was Scottish?! *gasps* Lord, I think I pretty much highlighted every single word this man said. Swoony, sexy bastard. *sigh*

Mandi also knocked it out the park with Fannin! What a sexy, sassy heroine she was. I loved her! Together, from the impromptu bar meeting, to the insta-lust, to the hot, combustible sex, to the infectious passionate love, Jasper & Fannin are PERFECT for one another and I adore them.

Twisted may be a novella within the Imperfect Love Kindle world series but actually in all honesty.. Twisted stands on a world of its own.

The book had so much going on and had few twists and turns in there. I love me some Boone!! I’m ready for more Meghan. You are the queen of alphas.

My rating is 6 stars

Where do I even begin?? This book is beyond words. Definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. My heart was pounding out of my chest and I absolutely refused to put my kindle down until I was done. 5 stars could never be enough.

The angst and heartache felt by the main characters draws you in so you feel like you are immersed in this extremely dark world they face daily. I totally cried my eyes out at the end. I’m diving into book 2 now because I can’t wait for more.

Okay, let me just step back a moment. *takes deep breath* I feel I need to gather myself otherwise this review is just going to be me word vomiting shit all over and no one wants to read that…

But, here’s the thing. I CAN’T gather myself. If you know me and read my reviews, you’ll know that I go CRAZY sometimes over the books I downright adore. Like I legit spill every ounce of MY blood, sweat and tears into my reviews. I can’t help it. Some books just hit DEEP. SO FUCKING DEEP. And I try and sound like a sane person but it doesn’t happen. And people, this crazy bookworm has just gone OUT OF THIS WORLD CRAZY!

I finished Love Me In The Dark by Mia Asher. A book that I’ve been DESPERATE to read since Mia announced she was writing. You see, Mia Asher is my unicorn author. I’m an angst lover and there ain’t no one does angst like Mia Asher. She’s my angst queen and I happily drown in all her heart stopping, intense goodness. So as you can imagine, after Sweetest Venom, I’d been left hanging waiting for my next fix. Well I got it, via Love Me In The Dark and this is one high I WILL NOT be coming down from any time soon.

This whole book is a powerful, intense read that just CONSUMES. Each and every part of me was pulled so deep into this story I felt it right down in my marrow. The intensity of the characters, even now is coursing through my veins. Tingling, burning. Reminding me of the experience I just had. And if someone could erase the last several hours so I got the chance to read it from the start, for the first time, I’d do it. I’d erase it. Just to feel all that emotion again.

Love Me In The Dark is my idea of a PERFECT read. It’s chock full of angst, heat, passion and connection. There is nothing to critique. With every single sentence, every word, Mia seduces. She weaves an epic tale of love, hate, weakness and strength, of finding that inner passion and need to want better, to be better, to be free. Mia connects her characters better than anyone, you feel them, from the first look you experience what they experience. In Mia’s words you can actually be there, right in the moment. She doesn’t just paint a picture she puts you in the damn book. Everything feels sooo freaking real. And it’s why she’s one of the best.

Speaking of the best. This is my best read of the year so far! Hands down. It is. And I’ve read some corkers so far, trust me. There was just something about THIS BOOK that hooked me, kept me right there in the moment, feeling, loving, wanting and needing. I never wanted it to end. Ever.

Love Me In The Dark is a heart stopping, breathtaking read that captivates from start to finish. It’s hot, sinful and sexy. It will own you from the minute you start reading. Prepare to be BLOWN AWAY to another planet. A million stars would not do it justice… Because Love Me In The Dark is OUT OF THIS WORLD.

If there is one thing I loooooove in my books, It’s the deep, raw all consuming feeling you get when you you’re wrapped in so much ANGST! I literally CRAVE it. The more gut wrenching the better and Mariah Dietz NAILED IT! For me CURVEBALL was OUT OF THIS WORLD! My heart pounded and ached, my breathing stopped then came really freaking quick. I swooned. I laughed. I shed tears. I became 100% invested in Coen and Ella. They have my heart.

What is it about Curveball that is so amazing?

It’s was the realness. The power Mariah poured so effortlessly into her words. The tug of the descriptions used that just made everything so visible and clear. It was the all consuming feeling that you get when every word hits direct and deep to the soul. It was EVERYTHING.

I devoured this book. Nothing was going to stop me finishing it. I lived, breathed and felt every second and never wanted it to end. This was my first book by Mariah, it won’t be my last. She has just landed herself a brand new stalker that has just gone and clicked every book she ever released.

Curveball, was unexpected and hella surprising. I don’t think I could love it more if I tried! 5 all consuming stars!

Review – Sex God by Marie Force

Wow, the chemistry between Lauren and Garrett is red hot but what makes their relationship so special is the friendship between them. It’s so genuine, honest, and comfortable. They have a bond worth protecting. Still it’s easy to see that there is a very real and very true love between them. So many sweet moments…but just as many grab your fan moments as well. Garrett certainly EARNS his reputation and made me laugh out loud as well. Lauren is a great match for him but has her insecurities and a past keeping her from all that she wants. It was nice to see Honey and Blake and secondary characters from Sex Machine in this book as well.

Steamy, sexy, funny! Another great trip to Marfa! Great job, Marie!
