Vi Keeland NEVER disappoints. EVER. Everything she writes is pure gold. Everything she writes is incredible. Sex, Not Love was just the perfect romance. I devoured this book whole in a matter of hours, I couldn’t put it down. There was nothing about this book that I did not like, nothing I would ever think needed to change. It’s PERFECT.

Vi is a go to author for me. She’s the author who’s books I read when I want a solid contemporary romance that brings the heat, the feels and is as sexy as it is sweet. Sex, Not Love, fitted that to a t. From start to finish we are delivered magic in the form of Hunter who’s as delicious as he is dirty, sexy as he is sweet. I felt RUINED by this man. His cocky arrogance was HOT! And mannn did I swoon? *nods enthusiastically*. I swooned harrrrrrd! Nat was also a brilliant, captivating heroine. So easy to connect with and understand. She was written with flair and sass and her vulnerability was clear to see but I saw her as a character I would love to be friends with. She was just FANTASTIC.

Together Hunter and Nat are explosive. Their chemistry all consuming. I loved the sizzle and burn of their build up and everything inbetween. Everything about them together just worked. Vi also worked in the perfect amount of emotion and feeling that 100% tugged on my heart strings. Together the emotions and the sexiness balanced flawlessly.

Review – Tempt Me by Carly Phillips

I have some it before and I will say it again. Carly’s books just make me so happy! I so enjoyed this second book in the Bodyguard Bad Boys series. A sexy bodyguard meets his match in a determined nanny. And let’s not forget on adorable little girl who steals the show!

Austin Rhodes has a serious problem – his nanny. No matter how much he wants to, he cannot deny that Mia Atwood has gotten under his skin. Why wouldn’t she? She’s beautiful, strong and believes in the goodness of people. In spite of her past and all of her struggles, she still manages to put all that aside to be there for his daughter. It certainly doesn’t hurt that Bailey adores Mia. Just like Austin, Mia has tried to forget what she feels for her boss. She knows combining business with pleasure is something that she must steer clear of. She already knows how business can destroy and she won’t sacrifice her position – and Bailey – for a quickie with the boss. Oh, but when these two give into what they have been feeling, it is stunning. They have so much chemistry! Still the past is never far behind and when it creeps its way into what the couple is trying to build, it will be up to Austin to protect everything that he loves. Let the angsty twists and turns and those intense steamy moments begin!

Tempt Me was a wonderful quick read. Truly just wonderful! There was something for all of her fans. There was the sexy alpha, the brilliant leading woman that you cheer on loudly, a character or two that you loathe and a beautiful little person that makes it all worthwhile. There was the push and pull of attraction, the will they or won’t they moments and page turning suspense. A great addition to the Bodyguard series that is not to be missed!

He stood, joining her as they tossed their half-finished drinks in the trash. They headed to the car and he beat her there, opening the passenger door before she could grab the handle herself. He turned back and she stopped short. He caught her before she bumped into him, grasping her around the waist and pulling her close. He grasped her waist, anchoring himself by touching her, the soft sweater doing little to hide her slender body or delicate curves. He tipped his head, sliding his tongue across her lips and with a soft moan, she parted her mouth and let him inside. She tasted of vanilla and coffee, a sweet flavor that was all Mia.

Their tongues touched, tangled, and his body came alive with a hunger he hadn’t known before.

She raised her arms, hands coming to his biceps, holding on for a brief second before she gave in and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close, giving him all the excuse he needed to deepen the kiss. He tilted his head and consumed her, swirling his tongue around the further recesses of her mouth.

He had no wall, no car door to push her against, which was a good thing because he wouldn’t have been able to control himself if he crushed his body against hers.

Review – Sky’s The Limit by Elle Aycart

Well this was certainly not a book I ever pictured myself reading but was recommended, so I took a chance. Boy was I in for a roller coaster ride. There is comedy around every corner just for the very fact of the town that Sky has been stranded in, doomsday preppers. Im talking bat-$hit crazy lunacy from some of these characters. You couldn’t help but laugh at the antics and the whole situation Sky has found herself in.

Sky is a fashionista who believes she is on her way to Paris, France for a job teaching English while she pursues her fashion career. Cue hilarity. Her sister booked this whole trip for her, and when Sky finds out she is indeed not going to Paris, France but Paris, Minnesota things get crazy fast. Her mini car breaks down in a snowstorm. She has no signal on her cell, and is definitely not dressed for these temperatures. Lucky for her Logan comes along and saves her, but now the fun begins.

When some of the residents find out Logan brought who they are referring to as patient zero into their town, they lose their minds. They demand quarantine and it doesn’t help that Sky winds up with the flu. Her and Logan get stuck together and eventually sparks start to fly and not just in the fireplace. Great story. I would definitely recommend it.

Tired of waiting for her big break in the fashion industry, Sky Gonzalez, eternal part-time student and overworked retail drone, quits her job, sublets her New York apartment, and embarks on a semester abroad study program in Paris. Paris! Time to throw caution to the winds and jump-start her dreams. What’s the worst that could happen?

How about getting sent to the wrong Paris? As in Paris-frigging-Minnesota?

Bye-bye career dreams. Bye-bye glamour and haute couture. Hello flannel shirts, mind-numbing cold, zero bars on the cell phone, and socially challenged mountain men with tons of unruly facial hair.

So yeah, let the truck barreling her way hit her, please. Less painful.

Logan should have dodged the little lost waif and kept on driving. Who in their right mind walked in the middle of the road, dressed in white from head to high heels, during a snowstorm? Clueless city girls, that’s who. Sky is all that Logan has gladly left behind: stylish, cosmopolitan, and a massive pain in the butt. He wouldn’t trade a single day in his quirky little corner of the woods for all the high-maintenance beauties the city can offer.

Too bad this beauty has been deemed a health hazard and quarantined in his house. Damn his doomsday-prepper neighbors and their paranoid emergency protocols. Now he has to keep Sky in and the pandemic squad out until the roads are clear. The question is, will that happen before or after Sky realizes she’s under house arrest?

Ah, the best-laid plans…

Logan addressed the pandemic squad up on the platform. “Sorry to break it to you. This is a free country. You can’t go quarantining people at will.”

“Wrong. Exactly because this is a free country, we can.”
There were some mumbles of agreement from the crowd, “That’s right” and “You got it” and “Try to stop us.”
“We live in a democracy. Let’s take a vote,” Carol suggested. “All in favor of quarantining Patient Zero, please raise your hands.”
Everyone, including a smirking Ty, raised their hands.
“Oh, come on,” Logan grumbled. “Really? You serious?”
“Motion accepted,” Carol said, wrestling the gavel from the mayor and banging it on the podium. “Besides, Patient Zero doesn’t have to know she’s been quarantined. Just keep her indoors by any means necessary until she gets better.”
“Or she kicks the bucket,” somebody chimed in.
Nuts. The whole bunch of them. Down to the very last one.
“She’s not Patient Zero, people. Her name is Sky and she’s got the flu, damn it. Not Ebola. Just a common, garden-variety flu.”
“By our calculations, Patient Zero has been here almost twenty-four hours. We’re late on containment,” Carol said.
Logan shook his head in dismay. Man, like talking to a wall.
“You had her hidden away for a whole day?” Ty asked impishly.
“She was just sleeping on my sofa.” Logan realized his mistake right away and turned to Carol and the rest. “You are not burning my sofa. Are we clear?”
Whether it was clear or not, Logan didn’t know, because Carol ignored his words. “And we’ll be monitoring you,” she added while the rest nodded. “At the slightest indication you’re sick—”
“Yeah, yeah, you’ll quarantine me too, and if I don’t get better fast enough, you’ll shoot me and cremate my remains.” Along with the damn couch, of course.
Carol rolled her eyes. “Don’t be silly.”
“Yeah, don’t be silly,” someone interjected. “We’ll autopsy you before that. Dissect you into tiny pieces.”
Jesus fucking Christ. Why couldn’t his neighbors have been the gearheads prepping for solar flares that would fry the grid? More kumbaya. Less ready to dissect.
“This is all your fault, Megan,” he said to his sister, who was sitting two rows behind him. “Couldn’t you have moved somewhere else? A normal fucking place?”
She just laughed. “You heard the lady. Keep Patient Zero indoors—by any means necessary.”
“Ha. Ha.”
“What? Skills too rusty to keep a woman indoors?” she asked.
“I can help,” Ty added. “Is she pretty?”
Gorgeous, actually. Big, dark eyes. Olive-colored skin. Delicate features. But that was beside the point too.
“Fuck off, both of you,” Logan muttered. Raising his voice, he addressed the crowd again. “You’re certifiable. All of you.”
“I totally agree,” Carol said. “We give you far too much leeway. Look at how flexible we’ve been about your toxic contaminants.”

What a whirlwind adventure this book was. Both of the main characters had been facing hardship of a different kind, but that all changes the night Teagan rear ends Portland’s most eligible bachelor. Neither knows at the time, but both of their lives are about drastically change.

Teagan gets laid off only to come home and did her boyfriend of 7 years banging a blonde in her own bed. She has nothing. She is now stuck in a car with all of her belongings, not knowing what to do next. Then fate answers for her when she rear ends Corbin. Gee, what else could possibly go wrong. Or not???

Corbin has just found out that the land he wanted of his grandmothers has stipulations that he never saw coming. He must be married for 2 years before the property is his free and clear. Fate just so happens to drop Teagan in his life by way of fender bender! Lol.

He thinks he has it all figured out. Get married as soon as possible so he can get the divorce done and over, but fate may have other plans for the two who don’t trust so easily. What a great read. I highly recommend it.

Teagan

I stare at the man, the absolutely beautiful man, across the table from me, completely disbelieving what he’s just said.

I had to have misheard.

He couldn’t have just offered me what I think he did.

Perhaps when I slammed into the back of his Mercedes forty-five minutes ago I gave him a concussion. Maybe the accident gave me a concussion.

“Are you serious?” Propping my elbows on the table, I lean forward to hear him better. “You can’t be. We should get you to the hospital. I think when I rear-ended you it gave you a concussion. Are you sure you didn’t hit your head?”

Corbin Lane relaxes against his chair at our table at Le Chat Noir. His golden-brown hair shines, a bit wavy, long on top but still short enough not to cross the line from professional to hipster. His cornflower-blue eyes haven’t veered from my direction for the last hour.

A typical man would have yelled at me, threatened me with a lawsuit, demanded my insurance information, and returned to his day, doing whatever playboy billionaires do.

Not this guy. He asked for my insurance information, and when he saw the tears streaming down my cheeks, the clothes and boxes strewn all over my cramped backseat, he asked me if I was okay. Then he escorted me to this nearby restaurant, asked me a million questions, and then this . . .

I read the most ROMANTIC of sports romances!!! I can’t stop SWOONING over this story that is just so SWEET-SIGHING GOOD!!! MOST LIKELY TO SCORE… just WOW!!! This book blinded me a bit as I didn’t expect to love it so hard. Best. Blindside. Ever!!!

Not even ten percent in and I wanted this hero for myself. Hot. Humorous. Blue eyes. Tall. Big in the right places. Playful. Passionate. Sexy as sin. Football player. I’m a sucker for a hot jock with a huge heart. Jones is HERO PERFECTION!!! Can you say hall pass?!?

“This is my best badass pose,” I say, narrowing my eyes and staring at the camera like I’d stare at the secondary of the Miami Mavericks.

“Oh yes, more of that, right, Jillian?” Christine shouts to the other person here in the studio with us.

That person is Jillian, and she hasn’t looked my way since I strolled in here and dropped my drawers. Damn shame.

From her spot leaning against the far wall, the team publicist answers in a crisp, professional tone I know well. “Exactly. We love his tough-guy face.”

She doesn’t even look up from her phone.

I keep working it for Christine, doing my best to make sure my blue eyes will melt whoever is looking at the picture when the magazine hits newsstands and Internet browsers in another few weeks.

It’s an evergreen kind of issue, since the body edition is one of the most popular. Gee, I wonder why. I’ve no doubt this shot of me with a football for my skivvies will quickly surpass the previous most-searched-for image of yours truly—the game-winning catch I made in the end zone in the Super Bowl two years ago.

But, to be fair, there’s another shot of me that’s searched for maybe a tiny bit more. I like to pretend that shot doesn’t exist.

“The camera loves you,” Christine croons as the snap, snap, snap of the lens keeps the rhythm.

“The feeling is entirely mutual,” I say, pursing my lips in an over-the-top kiss.

Christine laughs. “You are my favorite ham in all of sports, Jones. That’ll be a perfect outtake for our website.”

“That’s a brilliant idea,” Jillian chimes in. “Make sure to send me a copy for social, please.”

“Absolutely,” Christine answers.

I sneak a peek at the dark-haired woman by the wall, that silky curtain of sleekness framing her face as she smiles a bright, buoyant, outgoing grin at the photographer then drops her head back down.

Damn.

Jillian Moore is one tough nut to crack.

I’m nearly naked in front of her, and she hasn’t once looked my way.

As the woman behind the lens shoots another photo with my favorite ball covering my favorite balls, Jillian doesn’t even spare another glance.

I’m going to need a whole new playbook to get this woman’s attention.

Review – No Fear by Nora Phoenix

Woah! Talk about an action packed book! Nora really pulled you into the story just dying to see what would happen next. I’ve absolutely loves this series from book 1and am still in awe that this is a new author. Her writis impeccable and her style is so unique and unconventional. You can’t help but love it. Before I go any farther, I do need to tell you this is not a standalone. You must read the first 2 books first. They’re totally worth it. Trust me.

This book’s major focus was on the budding relationship between Blake and Aaron. These two had a lot of hurdles to overcome, but they definitely belong together. They are threatened apart by the skepticism of Blake’s brothers, which adds a twist to the plot.

We also start feeling the heat from the Fitzpatricks. It causes mass chaos for everyone involved and if the cards aren’t played perfectly, they may devastatingly lose this hand. I can’t wait for it all to be tied together in book 4.

Review – Awaken Me by Alex Grayson

This series has been one of the best ever, and I’m so sad to see it go. We all knew leading up through the previous 3 books, that this book was going to be the hardest. I was so right. I suggest tissues and to be ready for an ugly cry.
Alex quickly became a go to author to me, and after this series, I will never miss a book of hers again. We got to see the pain and torment going through Nick throughout the whole series. He was headed down a oath of destruction, so lost. I felt for him and knew his book would be the death of me.
Chris, oh poor Chris. Bless her heart. She loved that man so much but you can only be pushed so far. No matter what, she was always there for him.
I really won’t spoil the story for anyone because this was in my opinion, the most anticipated book of the series. Well done Alex. Well freaking done!
