Ava Harrison I applaud you.
Sordid is a masterpiece.

Sordid will easily sit in my top reads of 2018 list. The writing, the story, the characters, the development, the connection, the intensity, the angst. EVER-Y-THING was STELLAR!

Who doesn’t love a wounded hero?
Grant Lancaster is a tempting, sinful dish of a man. His wounded, broken life and soul drew me in and gripped me SO TIGHT. I was addicted to his cold demeanour, it made him seem so much more perfect as his walls came tumbling down and his love for Bridget magnified. Bridget is strong!! She’s powerful and she owns herself. I connected with her. I related to her. I applaud her. She is my favourite Ava heroine yet!!

Sordid takes every raw emotion and pulls them apart until you’re left dangling by a thread. The angst and tension pulsates from this novel in huge tidal waves that crash and burn relentlessly against the heart and soul. Grant and Bridget are intense and explosive and damaged beyond compare. Their HEA is the sweetest reward.

Ava Harrison is a writer that not only draws you into her stories but practically writes you into them too. The feeling I get when reading Ava’s words are insane. I can picture everything, as though I’ve been written in as a side character, sat in the same places her characters are. Her delivery makes me FEEL every single thing she writes about. Overall the experience you get when reading an Ava Harrison book is breathtaking!

I cannot express how much I loved this one. It’s a top, top, top read. 5 stars doesn’t come close to expressing how amazing it actually was!

It’s hard when reading to realize the impact of mere words. Words that have the power to both break you and put you together again. I don’t know if I can truly put into words the impact felt when I read the beauty that Emma Scott brings to life. IN HARMONY is one of those books where you feel every word; you FEEL EVERYTHING through your pounding heart to the depths of your shaking soul. Words that reach in and grab your heart, holding it tightly. Words that steal your soul, stomping on it with each breath. I’m breathless, bare, broken, and bleeding from this book, In Harmony, which in mere minutes became my MEANING … MY ALL … MY EVERYTHING.

K. Bromberg’s knack for humor, wit, soul, and sensitivity shines in her latest heart-hitter of a love story, Combust. COMBUST TOUCHED ME DEEPLY. I FELT SO MUCH!!! Combust made me melt. Made me feel. Made me break. Made me believe. Made me think. Made me value life. Made me want to always fight for love. Made me want to find my strong and conquer some important things I’ve brushed aside. Made me believe. MADE ME LOVE … so very much!

Grady defines HERO in every way! Grady is gorgeous, humorous, and kind, a beacon of light fused with dark. I LOVED this man of many layers. Grady and his damaged heart—both I wanted to save. He couldn’t be saved until her. Until Dylan crosses his path and shows him the light in the dark.

Take.
Her kiss.
Her breath.
His patience.
My anger.

From the first page of the Prologue, I loved the fierce and feisty Dylan, and I never stopped. Beautiful Dylan is a dreamer with new-found strength in spades. Her spirit has been shattered but Grady is helping her put together the pieces. I admired this tender-hearted heroine so much!

K. Bromberg creates the best characters, contradictions of hard and soft, and dark and light. Dylan and Grady are HERO AND HEROINE PERFECTION!!! This hero and heroines’ humorous and heated banter with innuendos was INTOXICATING!!! The witty writing made me chuckle. I loved these kindred spirits so much who MELTED ME with their darkness mixed with light! These two imperfectly perfect and shattered souls made each other whole.

WOAH!!

That’s my initial thought as I sit here post Dirt by Cassia Leo. I honestly think Dirt had one of the most hard hitting, emotional prologue I’ve ever read. The whole opener just GUTTED ME! As did the rest of the book in all honesty.

Dirt is angsty and heart wrenching. Every page punches deeper and harder. My heart was POUNDING while reading this book. The tension is as REAL as it gets! It’s so, so hard to fully explain any of it because it’s only the first book and there are SO MANY THINGS I NEED TO KNOW!

Jack & Laurel are hotter than the rising Sun but more broken than a shattered glass. Together this mix of heat and emotion really played well in building up the story and making so much more.

I am GUTTED that it ended like it did! So gutted. And DESPERATE for book two!

Before I start I want to make it abundantly clear that I could only choose 5 stars for this review but actually NO AMOUNT of stars could ever rate this book.. I’ve sat on this review for days now. Not because I didn’t know what to say, it was because I feared I’d say to much. Midnight Blue is not one of those books that you can read and easily sum up. The book it’s self has SO MANY hidden layers and depths that even attempting to fully convey everything I loved so much about this book will be impossible.

If you don’t know LJ Shen, have never picked up one of her books and fallen deep into her stories, then I beg of you, please do so. You cannot go wrong with any book of hers that you read but something about Midnight Blue made an already incredible author a truly PHENOMENAL author. LJ Shen has this way of RUINING you with her words but it’s a good kind of ruin. A beautiful burn shall we say? Seriously she’s an author who’s books I could ONLY EVER read and I would never tire of them.

From the very start Midnight Blue is a consuming, complex novel that burrows itself deep into the heart and soul and BURNS, the most incredible, beautiful burn. The angst and feeling and emotion and depth of this book is out of this world. How LJ Shen wrote this book how she did is beyond me. There is intensity and passion and power, darkness, anger and pain, lust, love and beauty. It just about covers every emotion, every feeling.

Alex and Indie are a couple that are forever unforgettable. There will NEVER be a couple like these ever again. I cannot even begin to tell you how epic they are, together AND individually. Together they are DYNAMITE. Individually they are the spark, the initial fire, the inevitable burn. Together they got under my skin, flowed through my blood. Individually they invaded my heart, head and soul, tattooing themselves on me forever. I loved them, their story, their amazing highs and devastating lows. Following the journey of a couple like Alex & Indie has never been so captivating.

I honestly could say more, spill more about what makes this book good, great in fact. I could talk forever, the book hangover after Midnight Blue is REAL. The only problem with me talking too much is that YOU, the person reading this now learns too much about the book. I went into Midnight Blue with the blurb and the knowledge that a few book friends had read it and loved it. I really want the same for YOU. THIS book is better devoured with no other knowledge. But if you must know something about this book know this…

This book IS phenomenal.

I just finished KEEP HER SAFE by K.A. Tucker in an hours-long marathon read. I never read the blurb and dove in blindly. When I picked up this book and began reading, I wasn’t sure if this crime-solving story was for me. I was uncertain whether I could get into this tale of more thrills and chills than romance. Then after just a few pages … BOOM! I was BREATHLESS as I was UTTERLY BEGUILED with this book!!! Like fireworks on the Fourth of July, I was ALL IN! I’ve was never into crime-solving suspense until now. Now I was glued to a novel that suddenly gripped me hard, holding me in its clutches. Keep Her Safe CLICKED and I was HOOKED!!!

The first time we met was at a party.

Your ex arrived to show off the person he’d left you for last month, and you asked me to pretend to be your date.
