Accustomed to the fast paced life he loved, life now seemed to move as slow as the molasses the South was known for. Until he met Sarah.

Review- Surrender by Helen Hardt

My rating is 6 starts but deserves all the stars!!

This series has been beyond incredible, but this book blew me away. Take all the 6 star ratings I gave the first 5 and that’s how many this should have. Helen mastered every emotion that you could have throughout this book. I’m in a serious book hangover, and I dont know how long it’s going to last.
I won’t even begin to mention any of the what takes place in this book because everytime I turned the page I was gasping with shock at what happened next. Helen kept me mesmerized and glued to my kindle. You just never knew what was coming next. I usually can figure out what coming when I read a book, but not this time.
You will get happy, sad, angry, and ecstatic. Your heart will pound right out of your chest. This book is deserving of all the stars!!

Review – Twelve Tiny Truths by M. Dauphin & H.Q. Frost

Twelve Tiny Truths by M. Dauphin & H.Q. Frost

When I started Twelve Tiny Truths I have to admit that I really struggled to get into it at first. It was like I was on a roller coaster that was moving really slowly. However, I stuck with it and it didn’t take long for things to really start moving and gradually that roller coaster began rising higher and higher. Then, HOLY mother of god, I hit a loop-d-loop and this book became breathtakingly addictive.

All of a sudden everything just seemed to click and I was ALL IN. Nothing could have stopped me finishing the book, or getting off the ‘Dauphrost’ roller coaster.

That first initial loop-d-loop was nothing compared to the drama and angst that surges from this story. And when I say drama I don’t mean unnecessary drama, I mean intense, heartfelt drama that made me FEEL!

Travis & Charlie are so sweet. The swoon is off the charts. I mean if Travis got anymore swoony my legs would give out. He’s just THAT GOOD! And these two are HOT. FIYAH burning HOT!

The shining star of this book? It’s realness! The characters weren’t rich millionaires or your typical “romance characters”. They were real people, with real, tough life changing problems that they rose against and lived with. It was refreshing and uplifting, even with the sadness. I just really enjoyed that aspect and the overall deliverance.

Twelve Tiny Truths is an emotional, addictive rollercoaster that ended up hooking me and taking me on a ride I’ll not forget in a hurry.

4 breaktaking beautiful stars!

I’m Charlie, and these are my truths:

1) I should have been a doctor

2) One stupid decision changed my life

3) My best friend, Frankie, kept me sane when I thought I’d crumble

4) A new career running a dating website helped save me

5) Steady routine and burying myself in work became everything

6) A drunken dare on a boring night caused a spark in my routine

7) Cherry pie and a deep, sexy voice made the spark ignite

8) A date at the movies and country songs made me swoon

9) His kind heart, affection, and faith in me made me fall in love

10) The secrets he kept broke my heart

11) Good friends helped me understand his reasons

12) Unexpected circumstances threaten to ruin my life

…..Travis has his own truths.

Review – Lost Rider by Harper Sloane

lost rider

Review graphic

I have been very fortunate to have followed Harper’s writing journey since the Corps Security days.  I remember fondly being a Corps Security Alpha Babe! Her stories have made me laugh, swoon, sigh… Who couldn’t fall in love with these incredible men that she had created?  I never imagined that she would turn to cowboys. But cowboys done the Harper Sloane way have been the greatest reading joy and a magnificent display of Harper’s amazing talents.

This story had magic and perfection from the first pages. I was captivated by Maverick Davis.  He was angry, lost and grieving… for many reasons. The first his career as a professional bull rider was over.  Next he had to return to the one place he vowed never to return to – his hometown in Texas.  He had unfinished business there with his family and the one girl that he had always loved. Ten years before he had devastated Leighton James with his harsh words and thoughtless actions. But Maverick had little choice; he had to leave. He had to escape. That meant he had to do what he felt was best. Now he’s home and he wants a chance at the life that he could have had with the beautiful girl that was supposed to be his.

Ten years hasn’t taken away to anger that Leighton feels. The hurts that simply won’t go away. In those ten years she’s lost her parents, started a beloved business and changed in so many other ways. But one thing that has not changed is the connection that Leighton James feels to Maverick. The moment she sees him there’s a spark between them that she knows in her heart has never dimmed. She’s not going to give in to what her body wants and she refuses to be hurt by him again. But in ten years he hasn’t been far from her thoughts. Can Leighton find a way back to the wayward cowboy? One thing is for sure… Maverick won’t give up until he has her back.

Ride ‘em, cowboy.

This story was so emotional… it was the most incredible read! These characters – the whole Davis clan, the town of Pine Oak, and everyone in between – crawled into my heart and would not leave. Harper created a world in this story that made me want to never leave. Maverick is so deliciously alpha, ruggedly sexy and swoon worthy right down to his cowboy boots, but in the same breath he’s broken, haunted and in so much pain that it hurts to see him trying to make sense of his past while trying to forge a future with Leighton. But how could I not love him and how could I not root for him to get the second chance at his life that he so desperately yearned for? Leighton is as strong as she is beautiful but just as insecure and vulnerable. Would she ever be good enough for Maverick? Would she ever simply be enough for Maverick? Watching these two build their relationship and starting over was breathtaking!

If you have never read a book by Harper Sloane, if you ever considered reading her books – read this book! If you are a fan of Harper Sloane – read this book. From Corps to cowboys, Harper surely knows how to hook her fans. Me? I’m not going anywhere.  Let the journey continue!

Six Head Over Boots Stars!

Lost Rider teaser

In Lost Rider, the first Western romance in New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Harper Sloan’s Coming Home series, an injured rodeo star encounters an old flame but will she be just what he needs to get back in the saddle?

Maverick Austin Davis is forced to return home after a ten-year career as a rodeo star. After one too many head injuries, he’s off the circuit and in the horse farming business, something he’s never taken much of a shine to, but now that it’s his late father’s legacy, familial duty calls. How will Maverick find his way after the only dream he ever had for himself is over?

Enter Leighton Elizabeth James, an ugly duckling turned beauty from Maverick’s childhood—his younger sister’s best friend, to be exact, and someone whose heart he stomped all over when she confessed her crush to him ten years back. Now Leighton is back in Maverick’s life, no longer the insecure, love-stricken teen—and Maverick can’t help but take notice. Sparks fly between them, but will Leighton be able to open her heart to the one man who broke it all those years ago?

Written in the vein of Diana Palmer and Lindsay McKenna, this Texas-set series is filled with sizzle, heart, and plenty of cowboys!

12 I have to try

I should tell Quinn and Clay that he’s here. But one look at him and it’s like the last ten years have never passed and I’m back at the bonfire, the awkward high schooler uncomfortable in her own skin. Marching away from him in the woods. It was the last time I saw him. How is it possible that he can affect me this much after all this time?

He hasn’t noticed me, not with his head bowed, so I quickly turn around and focus on Pastor John as he finishes up his prayer. Him being here means nothing. I should be happy that I remember the pain from that night so well, it will make keeping my walls up around him so much easier.

“On behalf of the Davis family, I want to thank everyone for coming today. At this time, the family has asked for some time alone as they say their good-byes. They wanted me to remind everyone that the PieHole will be opening up for a few hours tonight starting at five for anyone that wishes to join them.”

I keep my arm around Quinn, not looking back to where I saw Maverick. I can hear the church slowly emptying and I feel a frown pull at my lips. I had hoped that when everyone started to leave that he would have come up front to be with his family, but so far, the pew we’re in is still empty save for the three of us. We sit and wait for everyone to leave, something that Clay had asked Pastor John to make arrangements for in place of the customary recessional, knowing that no one in this town would really mean a word of it anyway. Plus, I know Quinn is having a hard time. Regardless of the fact that she wasn’t the closest with her father, she was really counting on this—Maverick home. She’s still shaking in my arms, but when I look over at Clay I realize his silence isn’t because of the heaviness of Buford’s death, but instead anger over his brother’s absence that has started to build to a boil. I fear that he’s seconds away from tipping over the edge.

I stand when Clay and Quinn do, but hang back at the edge of the row we had been sitting in as they meet Pastor John and gather their father’s ashes. I can’t wait to get out of these heels. If it would have been acceptable to wear my boots, I would have, but Quinn would have killed me. As it is, I feel like I can’t take a deep breath with how tight my dress is against my chest. I never wear tight shirts. I haven’t since my boobs became beasts of their own right. I’m too busy fiddling with the straps of my dress, trying desperately to get some of the pressure against my chest to ease up so I could take a deep breath, when I heard Quinn gasp.

“Mav!” Next thing I know she’s running past where I’m standing, her black hair streaming in the air behind her as she speeds forward right into her brother’s arms. Clay moves to stand next to me and I look up to meet his green eyes, the questions he isn’t vocalizing dancing in their emerald depths. He’s not stupid and I’m doing a crappy job at hiding the memories haunting me right now. He gives me a small smile, shifting his hold on the urn to wrap his free arm around me and pulls me into a strong hold.

“You’re shakin’,” he says against my temple and I just nod.

“I’m good, Clay. Go see your brother.”

“I’m fine right where I am, sugar.”

I keep my eyes to the ground, focusing on his worn boots instead of looking up, hating myself for making this moment about me when I should be focused on them. Like it or not, I can’t fight the feelings that being near him bring me. I’m that stupid, naive sixteen-year-old all over again. “Let’s get out of here,” he says after a few silent seconds. I look up and give him a smile, hoping that it looks a hell of a lot braver than I feel. Inside I feel like I might puke.

“You think I could have a second with my family?”

My head shoots up at the coldness I hadn’t anticipated in Maverick’s voice. He’s not focused on me, though, instead looking at his brother with a hard expression and one brow raised upward.

“Mav!” Quinn gasps and he moves his attention from his brother to her.

“Sorry, Quinn, but I’m thinkin’ that Clay’s lady friend would understand that this should be a moment for our family and give us time alone.”

“I’ll just—”

“Don’t you dare finish that sentence, sugar,” Clay all but spits through clenched teeth and drops his arm to take a step forward. “You’ve got something to say, Mav, then say it.”

“Nothing to say, Clayton, I just think it would be nice for your girlfriend to give us some space.”

“My girlfriend,” he parrots sarcastically, his deep voice vibrating in anger.

“Mav.” Quinn attempts to butt in, but stops when Maverick leaves her side and turns to stalk out of the church. I should find it comical that he obviously didn’t recognize me, or hell, maybe he did and he’s just picking up where he left off ten years ago in the middle of the dark woods. I take a deep breath. “It’s okay. He’s right. Y’all need some time as a family. I’ll head over to the PieHole and start settin’ up for tonight.”

Quinn brushes a tear from her cheek and just shakes her head. I look at Clay to see him staring in the direction that his brother just left.

“You’re family,” he finally says, not looking in my direction.

“Clay, really, it’s okay. It’s been a long time since y’all were back together and I don’t need to be there for that reunion. It sucks that it takes all of this to finally bring him home, but he’s here and y’all need to make up for a lot of time lost.”

“Shut up, Leighton.”

“Don’t, Clay.”

“Don’t what? You’ve got every right to be here. You’re just as much a part of our family as he is. Hell, maybe even more so than he is at this point. So just shut up, come with us, and ignore him.”

I shake my head, the fight instantly leaving my sails, knowing I would be arguing until the end of time if I

pressed this issue.

“I can’t believe he doesn’t even recognize you,” Quinn whispers.

13 whole heart

Review – Where Good Girls Go To Die by Holly Renee

Where Good Girls Go To Die by Holly Renee

Holy crap. That was EPIC. Omg. Just WOAH MAMA! I’m not even kidding Where Good Girls Go To Die is one book I will not forget easily! Started and finished in 3.5hrs. Purely owned by one SPECTACULAR read. My gosh. GAH! Just WOW.

This book has been sat on my kindle for a week now, that STUNNING cover staring at me, demanding I read. So I did.. firstly that opening chapter is PHENOMENAL. I mean that is how you open a book. I was sucked right in and I just knew this book would overtake every part of me.

As the book rolls on I was only pulled in deeper. The feels in this book are just OFF THE CHARTS. Honestly, my heart pounded and skin tingled the whole way through. The delicious tension, that push and pull that I ADORE in my books hit all my spots, kicking off an addiction that I chased through to the end.

Parker and Livy are EVERYTHING. Their love story wasn’t a perfect happy, sappy romance novel, no way… Instead, it was complicated, intense, filled with lies, heartbreak, and secrets. It was brutal and raw and downright dangerous. It was love and hate all rolled into one. It was passion and devotion. It was beautiful in its own right. They burned me, from the inside out. They poured themselves into me stealing my breath, my heart and my soul. Both written superbly, I easily connected to both Parker and Livy. I felt everything they did. I loved them. I want more of them.
“When we heard the door shut again, she finally released a deep, shuddering breath, and it was as if I could feel it filling my own lungs. It was the deepest breath I had taken since she stole it so many years ago.” <– Words like this make up this incredible story. Words that are so fluent and flawless. So powerful. Holly well and truly owned me with her words.

Where Good Girls Go To Die by Holly Renee is easily going to be a top read of 2017 for me! It was my dream book. The sort I crave, devour and LOVE for all time. I only have 5 stars but mannnnn, it deserves sooo many more. Bravo Holly Renee. Bra-fuckin-vo.

It was a bad idea from the beginning.

He was my brother’s best friend and the definition of unavailable.

But I didn’t care.

I had loved him for as long as I could remember.

He was worth the risk. He was worth everything.

But then he broke my heart as easily as I fell for him. He watched me fall, spiraling out of control, and as I reached for him, he wasn’t there to catch me.

So I ran.

Four years later, I never expected to see him again.

He was still my brother’s best friend, and he was more unavailable than ever.

He looked every bit the bad boy I knew he was, covered in tattoos and a crooked smile.

Guarding my heart from him was top priority because Parker James was where good girls go to die.

Unfortunately for him, I wasn’t a good girl anymore.

Review- Stay Awhile by Gia Riley

My rating is 6 out of 5 stars

Gia, I am literally a sobbing mess right now. What you did with this book was just off the charts incredible. I laughed. I cried. I fell completely and utterly in love with Garrett from square 1. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with a man like him. He is in his own special class. No one can even come close to how he overtook my entire heart from the start.

So many twists. So many turns. So much heartache. So much utter despair. One man who can soothe a little girl more than her own father. He is no alpha, which makes this book so much different than most books. I know alphas are usually but we all want, but Garrett may have just  created a whole new breed of the perfect man.
My heart goes out to Megan and Laney for all the hurt they’ve had thrown their way over and over. One can only take so much before they break.Laney is one sweet precious angel that stole my heart.

You think you know what’s going on and then the whole script is flipped, and I found myself grabbing my throat and gasping so many times. There’s no.other way to write this review than to describe the emotional journey you’re about to embark upon when you start at page 1. The ending just had me reading with my jaw dropped to the floor. I hope their will be a new story formed out of that ending and that’s all I’m saying.
This writing was impeccable. Easily a 6 star review. Definitely one of my top reads this year. You all are gonna want to jump on this one immediately. I promise you its worth every single second.

Life can change in the blink of an eye.

And every choice can unravel more of the truth.

One split second decision after a lifetime of lies, has created a world so confusing, happily ever after isn’t guaranteed. Not even when the stars align and the pieces fit perfectly into the puzzle.

This time, she’ll have to fight for love with a vice clamping her heart and a gaping hole swallowing her soul––absence won’t make the heart grow fonder.

Lies and deceit.

Broken promises and disappointment.

Megan Campbell knows them all too well.

So far, the pain has won. But the pain doesn’t have to be permanent.

Review – Dear Agony by Georgia Cates

Dear Agony by Georgia Cates

My heart is pounding.

My hands are shaking.

Tears are streaming down my face.

I’m a balled up mess of devastating, beautiful feelings. Dear Agony by Georgia Cates is a must read for EVERYONE.

Dear Agony is so different to anything I’ve read by Georgia before. I absolutely love Georgia’s writing. Her books are ones I can easily lose myself in and not care that I’ve read away half my day. From the moment I saw the first teasers for Dear Agony and the minute I saw the cover I just knew I had to lose myself in this read too. And OH MY GOSH. I lost myself, in a intense, visceral journey that cut deep, blew me apart and then kept me open, hanging on by a thread to the very end.
If you love angst and tension in your books then this is the read for you. I feel I’ve been pulled and pushed, no, dragged, through so many emotions and feelings that I didn’t know which way was up. I was burnt to my very core and I freaking LOVED every second of it!! The journey that Georgia put Bash & Rose on was devastating, full of rawness, grit and intensity. They broke my heart, they fixed it back up. And then they ripped it right open again, but I wanted it, found myself craving it, needed the suspense and tension. I don’t care how crazy that makes me. I’m downright crazy over this book!!

Bash and Rose were fantastic. They were passionate, seductive, sensual. They were raw, brutal and devastating. They were love, light and happiness. Strange mix I know, but it worked. Perfectly.
I won’t say anymore. I truly believe you’d benefit reading by going in blind. Just shut the world away and get lost, trust the words, trust the characters. Trust Georgia. Because she delivers one hell of a devastatingly beautiful, breathtaking journey.

5 all consuming stars.

Dear Agony,

You’ve been my shadow, following me through childhood—filling my days and nights with terror and uncertainty. You cleverly disguised yourself as some form of pain or suffering as I grew into a young woman. We were unwavering companions … until I severed our ties.

I traded homelessness on the streets of New Orleans for a luxurious bed covered by the finest linens.

I traded dumpster diving for dinner in the finest restaurants.

I traded myself to a stranger—Bastien Pascal.

I have a good life within my platonic and mutually beneficial companionship with Bash.

He’s my friend. My mentor. My roommate.

Until everything changes.

I’m not supposed to get goosebumps when his hand brushes my skin.

I’m not supposed to be eager for his soothing touch following one of my nightmares.

I’m not supposed to think about what might happen if I reached out to him in the darkness.

Falling in love with him? Preposterous . . . unavoidable.

Agony, why are you back with a vengeance to rob me of this life I’ve come to love so dearly?

I’m finally happy. Don’t ruin this for me.

Always yours,

In this epic love story, Dear Agony forges a connection between an unlikely pair—a beautiful rose entwined in barbed wire and a shipwreck sinking into the darkest depths of the ocean. This agonizing romantic novel poses some gut-wrenching questions: What does a woman do when the man she loves is planning his own demise? And how far will she go to give him something to live for?

Review – Pucked Off by Helena Hunting

Pucked Off by Helena Hunting

My rating: 6 of 5 stars

You don’t find love. It finds you. It’s got a little bit to do with destiny, fate, and what’s written in the stars.

Love found me in Helena Hunting’s newest hockey romance, Pucked Off. Oh DID I LOVE THIS STORY!!! So deep and different…unlike any other story in the Pucked series…JUST WOW!!!

I started Pucked Off with a big smile on my face as the books in the Pucked series have been a mix of a lot of humor, heat, and heart and a little heartbreak. After a few words on the first page, I wiped that smile off of my face, replacing it with a mix of a serious meets sad face. My eyes were already ready to bleed tears. I KNEW from just one page that this book would break me, and that it did. Pucked Off BROKE ME IN THE BEST WAY!!!

After just a few pages, I was UTTERLY ENTHRALLED. Pucked Off was ADDICTION…MY ACHE…MY ALL!!! I did not want to…could not…stop devouring this soulful story. After just a few pages, I KNEW THAT THIS STORY WAS SIX STARS, A TOP 2017 READ.

You may think you know hockey player, Lance ‘Romance’ Romero, from the glimpses of this hot Scot who looks like a fiery Viking with his red hair, tall and muscular body, and piercing green eyes…BUT YOU HAVE NO CLUE!!! There is way more to Mr. Romance than meets the eye. Mr. Mystery is finally solved and you will be BESOTTED with his soul-searing story like I was SMITTEN!!!

I’m a legend. I’m the one people whisper about, even though half of the rumors aren’t true. I’m the man women with no inhibitions want. And I f**king hate it.

Lance collides with a beautiful ginger who is as sweet as pie. Her life is pretty routine until it’s uprooted by a certain hockey player.

The instant connection between this couple was palpable. It wasn’t just chemistry; it was a feeling of fate.

I could kiss her forever. I could live in this memory – past fused with the present. This kiss would be my heaven.

This story sparked to life as magic poured from the pages. I SWOONED SO MUCH at these tender and touching words that kissed me as butterflies fluttered around my heart.

I want to be worthy, and I’m afraid I’ll never be.

This broken man BROKE ME!!! I was GUTTED…UNGLUED by Lance as my heart was crushed along with his.

I have a broken boy who’s become a broken man, and as stupid and naïve as it may be, I want to be part of what heals him.

Lance is broken but light lingers through that dark exterior, ready to burst and break free, waiting for an angel to save him from the dark.

“I think there are parts of me that can’t be fixed.”

Pucked Off was nothing I expected at all: it was MORE! So much more! This story stole, scorched, and shattered my soul. This book broke my heart, hitting it hard like a puck to the gut, shattering it like pieces of ice. Pucked Off is all of the heart and all of the soul! Heart-wrenching and heartwarming, this hockey romance will break your heart in the best way!!!

I felt every word I read in Pucked Off where I was left gasping for air, wading in an explosion of emotions. Pucked Off is sorrow…soul…swoon…sensations…SO MUCH OF EVERYTHING! Pucked Off OWNED EVERY PUCKING PIECE OF ME!!!

***A Standalone novel in The Pucked Series***

I’m NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance “Romance.”

I’m notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I’m a player on and off the ice. I’m the one women with no inhibitions want.

Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don’t know how to be any other way.

I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she’s the kind of bad I deserve.

At least that’s what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She’s all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.

I shouldn’t want her.

But I do.

I should leave her alone.

But I won’t.

Armed with my clipboard, I walk down the hall to the waiting room. Lance is impossible to miss. Despite the fact that he’s wearing a sweatshirt and the hood is covering half of his face, he’s more than six feet of broad, hockey-playing man.

He’s so wide his shoulders encroach on the chairs on either side, which would explain why no one is sitting next to him. He’s slouched down so his head rests on the back of the chair, and his hands are clasped in his lap, a baseball cap hanging off one knee. His lips, plush and soft—I know since I’ve had them on mine; it might have been a decade ago, but I remember it clearly—are parted. He looks like he’s asleep.

I clear my throat. “Lance Romero?”

He doesn’t move.

Bernadette, the receptionist, gives me a meaningful look.

I clear my throat again and call his name a second time. He jolts awake and the hood falls back, exposing his face. It’s not in good shape. He has a black eye and bruises on his left cheek. There’s a fly bandage across one eyebrow.

Sadly, he’s still hot.

He blinks a few times, yawns, and smacks his lips, his tongue touching the split in the bottom one. His gaze sweeps the room and finally lands on me. Heat explodes in my cheeks and courses through my limbs, warming me from the inside out as he starts at my sneaker-clad feet and roams up over my yoga pants to my company-issued T-shirt before stopping at my face. I can’t look directly at him for more than a couple of seconds. I sincerely hope he doesn’t remember me. I cannot go there and also be professional.

I’m sure the smile he gives me has melted many a panty off a slutty bunny. Mine stay right where they’re supposed to, wedged up my ass.

I force a polite, professional veneer. “I’m ready for you now.”

Review – Tainted by Love by Gillian Jones

Tainted by Love by Gillian Jones

I truly have no idea where to begin this review. I’m a little all over the place because of this book. I don’t know where to begin.
Gillian Jones is an author who’s books push the boundaries and tackles subjects that we don’t usually see. In Tainted by Love, Gillian gives us a story pushes the boundaries to the max.

First and foremost, I have to state that this book doesn’t end traditionally, Gillian tells us this herself.. I’m sure that because of this people might not want to read this book. BUT! And here’s the kicker. This book is so powerful. So emotional. So beautiful. That you simply MUST READ it. The journey, the development, the connection and the message underneath are all done impeccably. I won’t go deep into the storyline in my review. I won’t go into the characters in too much depth. I won’t ruin it. I just won’t. What I will do is explain MY emotion. My feeling in the hope that despite the warning you will give this book a chance.

From the very first page of this book, I developed a connection to Trinity. Her resilience, strength, passion and flare all poured out of this book and into me in the most incredible way. Despite everything she deals with Gillian has made her strong and a fighter and that power makes Trinity one hell of a lead character.

Hendrix. His raw, ruthless outlook on everything drew me to him like a moth to a flame. He’s raw, protective. But light and uplifting. He’s polished and rugged all at the same time. He was amazing. I Loved him.

Despite the underlying issue that is it at the core of this book, Tainted by Love flows. The love story it blossoms is powerful and heartwarming. Emotions are high, and they also run deep inside, infiltrating the heart. These characters, their strength, their friendship, their relationship just builds and builds and builds. I felt them, believed them. Loved them. They affected me in the best way.

Tainted by Love is a journey, through life, a life that isn’t plain sailing and easy. It’s about overcoming, having hope, looking forward, chasing dreams, finding love and keeping it. It follows a different set up and may not end the way everyone wants. But it ended the way the author wanted, it ended in a way true to all the characters. To me, now, the end is perfect. So like I said before, don’t let the warning put you off. Pick up this book, read it, be consumed by it, fall in love with it, but above all else feel and understand it. Like I did. Personally I think it’s Gillian’s best book to date.

5 beautiful, breathtaking stars.

We loved fast. We loved hard.
But our love was tainted.

When I was twenty-seven, I fell in love with a boy.
We loved fast. We loved hard.
It’s too bad my blood was tainted.

Warning: Not your traditional HEA. May contain emotional triggers for some. There will be things that you won’t like and some you will, but I hope you have fun finding out!
