Audio Review – Dyeing To Be Loved by Aimee Nicole Walker

This book was incredible. It was full of heat and mystery. I was shocked at every turn but found myself laughing hysterically at some points. It was the perfect mix of everything that makes for a must read book. Aimee certainly doesn’t disappoint. I’m not surprised though because she is a pretty remarkable author that has become a must read for me.
Josh and Gabe have a rocky relationship at best in the beginning but Gabe does everything in his power to break down every wall that Josh has. It’s a never ending task but he is more than up for the challenge. The chemistry between the two of them is off the charts hot. If I was holding a paperback I think it would’ve gone up in flames.
If you’re looking for a mystery with twists and turns that won’t be predictable, this is one for you. I also wanted to note that I knew nothing about the prequel that everyone is complaining about but I had absolutely no problems with reading this. I never once felt lost or like.something was missing so don’t worry if you’ve not read it. I can’t wait until January for the next book.
I also listened to the audio book because you can never get enough of Josh and Gabe. It was fantastic. I couldn’t listen fast enough. The narrator has a nice, smooth voice that you’ll easily get pulled right into the story.

My ringing phone woke me up. I was disoriented because it had grown dark while I napped on the couch with Diva and I momentarily forgot what day it was. I looked at the caller ID and was shocked to see who was calling me. I debated on letting it go to voicemail for about two seconds before I answered it.

“Hello?”

“How are you doing?” Gabe’s deep voice warmed parts of me that no amount of purring from a cat could affect.

“I’m doing okay,” I replied. Was I?

“You feel like having company?” I heard the slight hesitation in his voice, as if he wasn’t sure how well his question would be received.

I knew what happened almost every single time that we were alone together. Was that what I wanted right then? “Yes,” I said answering both of our questions.

“Good,” he said, his voice deepening because he also knew what would happen. “Come down and let me in.”

“You’re here now?” I stood up and ran my free hand through my hair in an attempt to smooth it into place.

“Yes. Come down here and let me in. I’m freezing my nuts off,” he groused.

“Give me a few minutes,” I said and then hung up. I flipped on a few lights on my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I rushed through my routine so that I didn’t keep him waiting long. It was freezing outside and I didn’t want his balls to freeze. I was pretty fond of them, even if I was unsure of the man they were attached to.

“It’s about time,” he said when I opened the door to him. “What the hell took so long?”

I grabbed him by the coat and pulled him into me, pressing my lips against his. Gabe parted his cold lips and I slid my tongue inside to explore his warm mouth in a languid kiss. For once, I didn’t want to rush him into bed. I wanted to take my time and get to know his body better. Hell, I hadn’t even wrapped my lips around his big cock yet; a mistake I planned to rectify immediately.

“Minty fresh,” Gabe said, when our kiss ended. “You’re forgiven for making me wait.”

“Come upstairs with me and I’ll show you other things I can do with my minty fresh mouth.” I laughed when Gabe growled playfully. I needed to be careful or else I’d start liking the detective and the things he made me feel.

Aden, I just have one thing to say! I NEED MORE!!!! This story will never be enough. I admit I struggled a little with getting used to the hillbilly slang but please, whatever you do do not give up on this book! You will regret it This story turned out to be the sweetest love story from Aden. I loved absolutely everything about it and it makes me want to run and find my own Zeb.
Humor, wit, sweetness, danger ; these are all present and accounted for. What more could you ask for in a good romance. It makes you think maybe there are still some amazing sincere guys left in this world. A man that will put himself directly in harms way for a complete stranger is all you could ever hope for. I really want more of this series pronto.

Bad Habit by Charleigh Rose

DEVOURED.

That’s my first choice of word when I try to sum up my read of this book. I DEVOURED it whole. Hell, from start to finished this book DEVOURED me. Piece by piece this story plucked at my heart and soul and buried itself, incredibly deep. I couldn’t get enough. What Charliegh Rose has done here is nothing short of magnificent and I loved every single second!

Everything in the book works. From the sizzling love/hate chemistry to the broken and devastating emotions the characters have. It was hard NOT to feel while reading this book. At times I think I felt too much. Bad Habit cut me open, spilt hot, raw pain and destruction in me and then slowly, beautifully sewed me back up. I can still feel the heat and the pain but this wild feeling of happiness is also too strong to ignore.

Bad Habit. Asher Kelley. Briar Vale. Are tremendous. Charliegh Rose, I bow down to your creativeness!

Review – Mr. North by Callie Hart

This story fascinated me from the very beginning and once I started this story, it held on until I reached the very end. This was a love story full of intrigue, twists and turns. This book had moments of sweetness, only to be countered with moments of confrontation. There were revelations that made my mouth drop, and under all of that were two people that managed to find all that they needed in each other. Still before Beth and Raph could find their happiness, these two would have to struggle through isolation, fears, and lies. An epic game of chess with hearts at stake.

I loved every single minute of it.

Beth Dreymon has her heart set on the law. It has been a dream even though the cost of her education has almost drained her. When she’s presented an opportunity to earn enough money to get through the final moments of school before the bar exam, it seems to good to be true. What man wants someone to come to his house only to play a game of chess and then pay so much money for the chance? The story only gets more complex when Beth’s opponent is none other than the elusive and very sexy Raphael North.

Raph is sexy. Smart. A strategist and technological genius. He’s given his money to charity and lent his name to worthy causes. But he’s a man with deep secrets, eccentricities and needs. He needs company in his ivory tower. He needs the touch of a woman – a real woman who will see Raph for Raph. From the moment he he sees Beth standing in the anteroom to his home, he is moved by her. She stands up to him. She calls him out on his mess and she doesn’t let the fact that he’s Raphael North change the way she plays chess. He wants her and the relationship builds. This book is not for everyone. The story line is complex. It’s not Callie’s typical story. That’s what makes this story so unique. This isn’t the normal Seth, Rebel, Michael book. This isn’t even Calico. This is dark, unexpected and uncomfortable. This is twisty, topsy turvy and edgy. I kept reading because I wanted to see the end and while I hoped so much for a happily ever after, I would have accepted this book even if there wasn’t one. This book was an incredible read.

Alex has blown me away with another incredible book in what is turning out to be a series that is beyond incredible. You will be completely captivated and craving one more page until you finish. Yes, she definitely tackles unpleasant issues, but she does it wonderfully. Unfortunately these awful things, like date rape happen and Alex brings light to these things. She shows depth lives and relationships can be ruined, but most importantly that they can be mended.
Yes, this book can be a trigger, but it’s definitely a book that I highly recommend if you are able to get past that. I personally have no issue with these things in a book because they happen in real life and there’s nothing we can do about it. To me, it just makes for a more emotional book that connects you intimately with the characters. I can’t wait to read the last 2 books in this series, especially Andrew’s book which is next!

Wow, the amazing duo of Phillips and Wilde has written another brilliant series that makes me beg for just one more story. Just one more, ladies! But if the Book Boyfriends have to end, what better way to go out than with the delicious Connor Prescott!

Oh, Adriana Locke has done it again! How she makes us fall head over boots for these incredible families the world may never know. If Crank and Walker Gibson are any indication The Gibson Boys are very seriously going to give that family from Savannah — I think they are the Landrys? — a run for their money as a fan favorite. So so sorry Lincoln. Nah, not sorry at all!

Walker is a hard working blue collar guy. He’s a mechanic, a man of his word. He loves his family and takes pride in his business. Still Walker is a broken man doing his best to hide his hurt, anger and pain behind a stoic attitude and a shuttered soul. All that changes when a girl from Savannah decides to use his truck for batting practice. His life will never be the same after Sienna Landry enters the doors of his auto shop, Crank.

Sienna Landry is considered Savannah royalty coming from a politically powerful family. Still she never felt that she fit in with the high achieving Landry clan. A talented designer and risk taker, Sienna packs her bags and heads to Illinois to take a chance on a dream and move out from the shadow of her overprotective family. I couldn’t help but to fall in love with the sexy mechanic and his brooding soulful self. Sienna reminded me that just because the girl came from royalty didn’t mean she had to wear the crown. Being a commoner isn’t so bad when the prize is Walker Gibson.

This story had me from the very beginning in much the same way that Written In The Scars did. The Walkers are the real people. They are the family in your own neighborhood. Hard workers. God, family and Sunday dinners at Grandmother’s house. They share their hurts and worries and cheer on the high school football team at state championships. I felt this story in my heart and it reminded me that I am that small town girl trying hard to make the community proud. Crank is a wonderful beginning to another series that I’m going to love and devour from Adriana. This is family with all its beauty and frailties, amazing best friends, and a Nana that makes the best comfort food ever.

Where do I even start? Talk about a book hangover. This book had me drawn in, hook, line, and sinker. It was like a moth to a flame or an addict to his drug. I just couldn’t stop reading. It had the perfect blend of angst, heat, and humor mixed with tons of vulnerability. By far, my favorite book by this author.
Vicky is not what she seems. She is scarred from a past that has her hiding from the rich jerks who wronged her publicly worldwide! She has a serious problem with anyone that has money and refuses to be pushed around. She has a backbone that I admired and absolutely loved how she used the dog to evoke humor into the story. She definitely showed her sassy side, and I loved every minute of it. She didn’t ask to be the leading board member of a billion dollar corporation, but she refuses to be pushed around by rich people once again. She makes them sweat and damn if I don’t love that fire she shows.
Henry is absolutely appalled that his mother would leave the family company in the hands of a con artist dog whisperer. He threatens her with things that would make lesser people crumble, but he has no idea who Vicky really is and that he basically just threw down a gauntlet by threatening her. He and his cousin decide good cop bad cop will be the way to take her down. The plan backfires right in his face though when he finds our the real story. And damn if he doesn’t fit the title of this book perfectly!
I’m gonna kill to say this is one of my favorite reads this year. It just had an alluring quality that the author absolutely perfected!

This was another amazing story from Aurora Rose Reynolds!

When we first met Gia Caro and Colton Allyster back in Until June, it was easy to see that these two had a something so worth reading more about. Colton was clearly in command and had no problem letting Gia know that she was his and would not stop until she could admit with her mouth what was in her heart. Watching them develop their own BOOM in Falling Fast was a fun, emotional roller coaster ride full of sass, steam and one seriously sexy alpha.

These two have had their fair share of loss, anger and hurt. They shared more in common than they knew when they began their relationship. Gia had been lied to, abandoned and left with a stepmother who tolerated her existence after her father passed away. The one person that could have eased the grief of her father’s death was the grandmother who was her bridge to her mother. Lies kept them apart. Colton was left with a broken heart and an empty soul after being abandoned in his darkest hour by a woman he thought he would share his life – in sickness and in health. It was that family bond that meant Colton would take his place in the family business, care for his mother and listen intently to the good advice given to him from his father. As surely as it was not expected, love would change everything for Gia and Colton after one chance meeting.

The attraction between these two burned so bright, intense and needy. But what a great ride it was! Colton was so alpha and commanding like those Mayson men that we are all fond of. Gia was determined to not fall under Colton’s dominating allure, only to fall harder than she ever imagined. This story was a feel good, laugh out loud, swoon and sigh read that I loved from the first page to the last. Colton and Gia made me love them wholeheartedly and cheer for two lost and broken people who fought and found all that they needed in each other, learning to leave the past in the past and working for something beautiful and worthwhile together.

This was amazing! Just amazing and I cannot wait to see where this series will go next!
