What happens when you become obessessed with the voice behind your favorite late night talk show? If you’re Ian Carlisle, you spend your nights engaging her in witty sexy banter and becoming so a part of her life and her show that you have to meet and hope that the on air chemistry is just as sizzling off air.

And boy, oh boy! Does is it burn white hot!

This was another delicious read from Erika Wilde! Kerri McCree has come to Chicago to make a name for herself as a talk show DJ. Her topic is all hot and steamy sex. But after a bad relationship, Kerri knows very little about the subject. That doesn’t stop her from faking it and keeping her audience coming back for more. Enter the very delicious and every enthralled Ian Carlisle. Over the past few weeks, he’s been an avid listener and a frequent caller to Kerri’s show. The two have a connection and everyone who listens can hear it. Ian can feel it. After a tragic loss, he finally realizes what he wants most is a real relationship with the person behind the sultry, sensual voice.

These two have some a deep connection, a true fondness for each other. But Kerri has a weary spirit and a cautious heart. She has walls and will do whatever it takes to hold on to her independence. Ian is certain that everything he has ever wanted lies with Kerri and he’s willing to fight for what they could have. He wants her to give him her everything – her heart and soul. He engages her mind, warms her body and makes her feel wanted – something that she has been missing in her life. Though she wants and tries to keep the relationship on a physical level, it doesn’t take long for Ian to pierce Kerri’s heart and make her re-evaluate her stance on love and marriage.

This story is filled with sexy, fun moments, heartfelt angst and a past filled with pain and sadness. Kerri and Ian are two passionate people who meet by chance but build something amazing by choice. Great secondary characters make this story a sweet romance and I turned those pages until the wonderful end. Just an absolutely wonderful read!

Five Heat Wave Stars!

Turning Up The Heat teaser

A sexy stand-alone, full-length novel!

Radio personality Kerri McCree really likes sex. Talking about sex, that is . . .

Kerri knows firsthand that you can hide a lot behind a microphone. Although she’s earned a reputation for discussing every aspect of sex on her show, she’s never had to back it up . . . until a sexy mystery caller proves to be even more irresistible in person.

Ian Carlisle is immediately intrigued by the sultry voice he hears on the late night radio show, and it doesn’t take him long to arouse Kerri’s imagination with his dirty talk. Now he’s turning up the heat and seducing the rest of her. Their on-the-air chemistry sizzles and they heat up the airwaves, debating any and all provocative issues possible. As the ratings soar, so does the sexual tension.

But will Ian do when he discovers Kerri’s not the sex expert she professes to be?

Review – One Call Away by Emily Goodwin

One Call Away cover

Review graphic

I started and ended this book the same way…. in the ugliest of tears and sobbing. The first time in agony from pain and unthinkable loss. A life full of amazing potential taken way too soon. The last in elation from seeing a leading lady embrace her life and love so fully, so completely that it made my heart shutter in my chest. This story was worth the couple of nights of missed sleep, running down my phone to read those last few paragraphs. Sierra and Chase were simply stunning from beginning to end.

Sierra is not like the rest of her family. The rich farm Belmont family of the small town of Summer Hill in Mississippi. She knows that she cannot be a farmer’s wife but was prepared to be a doctor’s wife. She loved Jake. He was her world, until he is taken away. Lost in grief for a year and a half, Sierra is barely surviving. Her job at the local bookstore is her haven, a place where she can get lost. But no matter what, she can’t feel.

Chase Henson has always been looking for a place to belong, a place to call his own. His return to Mississippi is welcomed by his brother but looked upon with suspicion by the rest of the town’s people and bitter anger by his stepmother. After burying their father, Chase decides to stay and give his brother a hand at his bar. It was supposed to be temporary but then he sees Sierra Belmont and everything changes. For the first time he sees someone like him – unsettled, lost, and hurting. Someone looking for home.

Their journey towards a happy life together is far from easy. There is unbearable grief, secrets from the past, and small town gossip. Interfering relatives and well meaning friends. On the flip side of that coin, there’s a white hot chemistry that cannot be denied, a friendship built on the love of books and a second chance to live and love – not just simply survive. Yes, to feel again. It was impossible not to get swept up into these two. They began with such an uncertainty and moved on to something so unique. Chase is fierce and determined to see Sierra happy. Sierra knows that her happiness is finally within reach thanks to Chase.

This book was raw, pure emotion. It was angst and hearbreak, healing and resilience. I was left stunned and overjoyed. The story is so engaging and thought provoking that it was hard to step away once I started. I wanted to see how Chase would break through Sierra’s insecurities and wondered how his mysterious past would affect his future. I rooted for Sierra as she began to put her grief aside and embrace all that love had to offer. I laughed with them. I cried with them. I celebrated right along with them. This was just wonderful!

One Call Away is one of the best reads this year! Emily has written such a beautiful, thoughtful second chance romance. I already miss Summer Hill, and I certainly hope that she plans more stories from small town Mississippi. Wonderful job, Emily. All the stars and then some!

6 bbb kisses

One Call Away teaser 2

Chase Henson doesn’t play by the rules. He doesn’t let himself get attached, doesn’t stay in one place long enough to call anywhere home. So when he returns to the small town of Summer Hill for the first time in years, the last thing he expects to find is a reason to stay.

Sierra Belmont is lost. Devastated after a sudden tragedy that left her heart broken in a million pieces, Sierra is just barely getting by. Burying herself in work at Summer Hill’s only bookstore, all she wants to do is make it through another day.

And then Chase walks through the doors of The Book Bag, claiming he’s just there to buy a book. Rumors that he’s dangerous fly through the town, but Sierra isn’t afraid of him. He might be the last person she should be with, but he’s the only one who understands the depth of her pain. For the first time, Chase stands still, fighting the desperation to mend Sierra’s broken heart.

Always running, the past has never had a chance to catch up to Chase. But there’s a first time for everything.

There are books that you start reading and you just know will consume you, steal your breath, make your heart pound, cry big fat ugly tears, soothe your heart then make you cry all over again with sheer happiness. Well Ms Elliott you have done each and every one of those things to me with this book, I’m not sure what to do with myself.
The second instalment in the Cowboys and angels series and lord have mercy do they just keep getting better, The Parker family have stole a forever piece of my heart, I could honestly read about them all day. Amelia may be the baby of the family but that girl has sass and determination along with the finest. Wade is a character that right from the start you just need to Love. The story flows with effortless perfection, consuming you and everything around you stands still, nothing else matters, you don’t even realise your sat holding your breath at times or how deep you have fallen into the story until the tears start to roll down you face.
A 5 star and keep on going stars.

I write about love, but I’ve never experienced it. Sure, I’ve been with guys that I cared about. Even thought I found ‘the one’. He turned out to be the frog and not the prince.

A few Frank Sinatra songs and a wildly handsome cowboy who calls me Darlin’, will have me second guessing everything I ever thought I knew about love.

Does happily ever after really exist…or is it only something I write about in books?

Love Profound is book two in the Cowboys and Angels series.

Review  – Tate by Ella Frank

6 stars

HOLY HELL!!!  This book gave me all the feels.  At one point, my heart stopped beating  and cracker in half.  This is probably the most emotional book in this series.  As always,  Ella delivers nothing but pure perfection. I can’t really say much more than to tell you that you need to set aside a day dedicated to this book because you won’t be putting it down once you start. Writing anymore than this could give away the story and I absolutely refuse to take all that emotions from other readers.  Just know that you will be completely consumed by Tate and Logan all over again.

“The Temptation Series by Ella Frank was proof that if we open our minds and our hearts to love without boundaries, the result is nothing less than extraordinary.”

Review – Mr. Big by Delancey Stewart

Mr. Big by Delancey Stewart

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When I first met Mr. Big, I thought it would be the typical super sexy story of an employee-boss romance. I was wrong…totally wrong. Delancey Stewart wrote SO MUCH MORE! Mr. Big is a love story of TRAGEDY and TENACITY, FEELS and FATE, and DREAMS and DESTINY. This romance wholeheartedly CAPTIVATED ME, calling to my heart and soul, CONSUMING ME from beginning to end. Mr. Big is a fierce fusion of smolder, sweetness, sass, sadness, strength, and swoon.

The hot and heartbreaking hero, Oliver Cody, is one you’ll both love and hate. Arrogant, brooding, kind, and temperamental, Oliver is a high-profile sports company CEO. This talented executive is battling demons in and out of the office. Oliver is one walking storm, a mix of dark and light.

Until light eclipsed his shade known as beautiful Holland O’Dell, a name and woman as stunning as the country….

Holland O’Dell was the first spot of color I’d seen in two months.

Beautiful Holland is out to prove she has what it takes to be a smart and powerful woman in a typical man’s world of sports. Though part of her plans don’t involve falling for her hot boss. I loved this heroine, admiring her drive and resilience.

“You saw me.” He stares into my eyes for a second. “Even when you hated me, you saw me.”

I MELTED from these sad and swoon-filled words where I FELT ALL THE FEELS!

This kiss wasn’t gentle and soft, it didn’t ask for permission. It felt like he was staking a claim, as if he sought to possess me.

This kiss POSSESSED ME, blazing and burning, lighting me on fire. I felt the passion and promise permeate the pages.

“No one ever chose me.” Her eyes shut and the tears squeezed past her lashes.

“I do,” I whispered into her hair. “I choose you.”

The excitement had me ON EDGE, biting my nails in both angst and anticipation. The push and pull was HEADY, a force that made my head spin. The torment was the perfect mix of sweet and sexy. The sexual tension lit me on fire. I wanted to shove this heroine and hero together so many times!

ENCHANTING and EMOTIONALLY-CHARGED, Mr. Big makes your head spin and soul soar in one heart-pounding whirlwind of an employee-boss romance. You’ll adore the heroine, and both love and loathe the hero in one spellbinding story of surprises. A slow burn of a romance, Mr. Big is PASSION MEETS PROMISE, a push-and-pull of angst-ridden goodness. Mr. Big is BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN, a tale that can’t help but twist around your heart.

“Sometimes we’re ready for things when we don’t think we are.”

💋💋💋💋 big and beautifully broken kisses

Once upon a time, I had everything: money, power, a multimillion-dollar company, a loving family. Well, at least I thought I had everything. Then my parents died, and I found out my whole life was based on a lie. That’s pretty much the moment when I went numb. Told the world to f*** off and went on a bender of epic proportion, just to see how far I could fall before I hit rock-bottom.

Now I’m back and all I want in this world is my morning—okay, afternoon—coffee. Then one of my employees has the nerve to call me out for cutting the line at the coffeehouse at the company I own. Sure, I’m a little scruffier than usual, but come on, bitching out the CEO? Not a smart career move. Just who does this smart-mouthed ball-buster think she is? And more important, what do I have to do to get her number?

Holland O’Dell may be uptight, but I wouldn’t mind taking her back to my place and ripping off that business-casual blouse/skirt combo and burying myself in her curves. She pushes my buttons, but at least I’m feeling something. And whatever it is, I won’t stop until I get more.

“How did you know where to find me?”

“I didn’t. But when I went to your apartment and discovered you weren’t home, I thought to myself, ‘Where would a chef be early on Saturday morning?’”

Pleased he’d thought so carefully about me, I bit my lip to keep from smiling, then muttered with my head down, “Lucky guess on your part.”

“I’d like to think so,” said Jonah, his voice as soft as the breeze. My eyes met his, the hurt from our last conversation shimmering bright in their depths, causing a throb within me of a longing I’d never known existed. “Or maybe it was fate.”

He smiled then plucked the paper bag of rugelach out of my clutches, rummaged through it until he found an apricot one, and bit off half.

“Well, if you’re that hungry, I guess you can come home with me, and I’ll make you an omelet,” I grumbled but couldn’t stop the small grin tugging at my lips. “But I planned on browsing a bit more through the market first.”

“I’d like that.” Jonah walked beside me, and we meandered past the stands piled high with colorful peppers and squash. We strolled in silence, but every few steps I’d sneak a glance at him, expecting Jonah to speak. Instead he remained irritatingly, cheerfully silent.

I sampled some hot mulled cider and licked my lips. Spending so much time with Jonah gave me new insight. I’d always thought him superior and judgmental; perhaps I had been wrong in my assessment. He captivated me with the humor in his speech, warmth in his smile, and that unmistakable flare of desire in his eyes. Goddamn it, I wanted him.

I extended the paper cup. “Do you want a sip?” Its heady cinnamon scent remained one of my most favorite things about the fall season. To my shock, instead of answering me, he bent down and kissed me on my lips, lapping at their sticky sweetness. He stepped back, but I put a restraining hand on his wrist.

“What’s going on? Why are you really here?”

The honesty in Jonah’s face took my breath away.

“Do you really have to ask, after the last time?”

My body refused to listen to the war inside my head, kindling a deep need I couldn’t understand. I took a step forward, but unlike me, Jonah didn’t retreat. He stood firm, and I stood close enough to almost touch. Close enough to smell him.

“I’m not who you want; can’t you see that?”

“You don’t have any idea what I see when I look at you, Gideon.”

I wanted to yell back at him, No, you have no idea who I am, but I couldn’t bring myself to ruin the moment. I had no clue who Jonah thought I was, but I wanted to be that man if only to be able to have him always look at me like this. Like I was special. Like I was his. The sun beat hot upon my shoulders, and I held his gaze while contentment poured over me like a warm summer rain.

Felice Stevens has always been a romantic at heart. While life is tough, she believes there is a happy ending for everyone. She started reading traditional historical romances as a teenager, then life and law school got in the way. It wasn’t until she picked up a copy of Bertrice Small and became swept away to Queen Elizabeth’s court that her interest in romance novels was renewed.

But somewhere along the way, her reading shifted to stories of men falling in love. Once she picked up her first gay romance, she became so enamored of the character-driven stories and the overwhelming emotion there was no turning back.

Felice lives in New York City with her husband and two children. Her day begins with a lot of caffeine and ends with a glass or two of red wine. Although she practices law, she daydreams of a time when she can sit by a beach and write beautiful stories of men falling in love. Although there is bound to be some angst along the way, a Happily Ever After is always guaranteed.

Review – Mercy by Debra Anastasia

Mercy by Debra Anastasia

My rating: 6 of 5 stars

People who are meant to be together find their way back. They may take a few detours, but they’re never lost.

When you both begin and end a story with tears streaming down your face from so many feels, you know it’s meaningful. Oh was MERCY by Debra Anastasia meaningful! Mercy is so much MORE than a romance; its salvation, redemption, hope, and destiny. Passionately poignant, soul-shattering, and devastatingly beautiful, Mercy hits the heart hard and slays the soul. Oh was my SOUL SLAYED!!!

Have you ever read a story that stole your soul and broke your heart on the very first page?

One page and…
Mercy hijacked my heart…breaking it…BREAKING ME.

One page and…
Mercy consumed me, claiming every part of me, commanding every feel.

One page and…
I was ALL IN…body…heart…soul…everything.

One page and…
I sank so fast where I was drowning in these words that crashed into me like big waves.

One page and…
I already knew that this book would break me, and, oh mercy, would I let it.

This story was my DRUG and I could not take enough hits of Mercy. I was HIGH on these INTENSE and INTOXICATING words. I was UTTERLY ADDICTED!!! This story swirled around me like a hurricane, Mercy‘s MAGNETIC PULL holding me captive. Nothing else mattered.

Mercy is his street name. This intense and lethal man is a monster, a street vigilante. Tall, cut, and inked, Mercy is a beacon of light fused with dark, beautiful to those who know the broken boy inside the bold man. Mercy and his damaged heart, both I wanted to save. An all-alpha and protector, Mercy has to protect and save her. This man never wanted to be saved…until her.

I felt like looking at her was drinking and I would always be thirsty for more.

Becca is a dreamer with strength in spades. She is fiercely independent with a wild streak I loved! I admired this heroine so much! This beauty, inside and out, crosses paths with Mercy. Savior and sinner collide…perhaps by fate.

A connection, so big as if it beckoned from above, blazes between Mercy and Becca.

He kissed me like he was bringing my soul to life.

An aura of fire, fueled by fate, dances around them. Lighting them up. Lifting them out of the darkness…lifting me out of the darkness…if only for a little while.

I felt my heart taking off its armor.

Oh Mercy! I LOVED THIS MAN of many layers but with a heart of gold that penetrated those layers the hardest…penetrating my heart too.

“I’m in a field of wishes and you’re the only one I want to come true right now.”

I MELTED, feeling the power and passion as I nearly fell to my knees, these beautiful words wrapping around my heart and squeezing my soul.

If she wanted it, she could have it. My hand. My heart. My life.

I don’t know why I waited so long to meet Debra Anastasia’s wonderful and wondrous writing, but I was a fool to procrastinate. Debra Anastasia writes from the heart where her heart is poured into beautiful and brilliant words. I felt Debra Anastasia through her words, the salt mixed with pepper. Dark laced with light . I just now need to devour her other masterpieces so I can feel the rest. How could I not feel those too?

Mercy is as heartbreaking as it is beautiful. My heart was bare, as this book bared its beautiful words to me…breaking me…burning me…burying me in a pile of feels. I was wrecked—ruined—as I cried for a broken hero and a family scare for the heroine that hit all too close to home. This SOUL-SHATTERING story struck me hard, this emotional explosion in words where I felt every word…I FELT EVERYTHING!

When you read a story that cuts through you like a knife, gripping you, gutting you, and rendering you raw, bare, and breathless, you can’t help but feel every word as if each were a slice to your heart and a song to your soul. My heart is still split wide open, aching for Mercy, bared to this BOOK THAT BLEW ME AWAY! This roller coaster of a romance is a ride of thrills and feels fused by fate, one where I almost screamed for mercy. A HEARTFELT and HEART-WRENCHING love story, Mercy, is a MUST-READ and a new top 2017 book! Mercy BROKE ME IN THE BEST WAY, and I would let it shatter me again and again. I LOVED feeling Mercy bleed through me!!!

“I’d rather die in your arms right now than live a life without you for a hundred years.”

He taught me to kill. Murder is in my blood now. It runs through my veins and though I hide the monster I see in the mirror with ink, it doesn’t keep him from coming out.

My street name is Mercy, but I never show any. Except for her. I watch Becca, though she doesn’t know. She saved me a long time ago; the day my father killed my mother. Her bravery turned her into a target.

My father holds a grudge and knife with the same proficiency, and Becca is the focus of his hatred. And I’m the only monster who can save her.

Debra Anastasia likes to write from her heart, her soul or her butt. The genres she dabbles in are examples of that. There are two paranormal romances in the Seraphim Series and now four contemporary romances in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series and a stand alone in the same genre, Mercy. Fire Down Below and Fire in the Hole, Booty Camp Dating Service and Beast complete her comedy repertoire. The Revenger, a dark paranormal romance, is finally in the light, and the last, a novella called Late Night with Andres, is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research.

Debra lives in Maryland with her two kids, husband of twenty years and two dogs. The king of the house is clearly the tuxedo cat that is the size of a small donkey. Find about her latest adventures on

Under the Boardwalk an all-new, heart-warming MM romance by Felice Stevens is available NOW!

Under the Boardwalk
by Felice Stevens
Publication Date: August 10th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary MM Romance

Beneath the famous Brooklyn landmark, love is hidden but not denied:

All his life, Alexi Kharpov has dreamed of traveling to unknown exciting places instead of working at his family’s frozen custard stand on the famous Coney Island boardwalk. Every year is the same until a gorgeous man picks a spot in front of his stand to sing, captivating him with his beautiful voice. After two summers of listening, it might finally be the time for him to cross that boardwalk and take a chance.

Opera singer Cameron Maxwell has traveled the world, but the sight of the beautiful man serving custard to tourists touches his heart like nothing ever has before. A summer fling might be exactly what he needs to put his problems out of his mind, but the last thing Cam expects is to want the summer to last forever.

It’s a season of discovery for both men who learn to dig deep within their heads and hearts to decide whether secrets old and new should remain buried, or if love is too important to keep hidden under the boardwalk.

“I didn’t mean to shut you out before.” Cam faced him and held him around the waist. Their bodies meshed perfectly, and Alexi felt the weight of Cam’s chest and thighs press into his body.

“I hate talking about the past. You can’t change it, so what’s the point of rehashing things? I’m all about the present and the future.”

Cam’s mouth covered his, and Alexi held on to Cam’s hips as their tongues played against each other. He lost touch with the sound of the ocean; all he could hear was the furious pounding of his heart and Cam’s heavy breathing.

“All the time I watched you this summer, thinking you were cute and fun, never once imagining how much I’d like you.”

“I thought about you all summer too.” No longer shy about admitting it, Alexi nuzzled into the crook of Cam’s neck. “I guess it was a good thing we finally decided to say hello.”

“A good thing?” Cam took his face between the palms of his hands, and Alexi’s heart burst with happiness; he tried not to smile but failed.

“I think so, don’t you?”

“Yeah. The best.”

I have always been a romantic at heart. I believe that while life is tough, there is always a happy ending around the corner, My characters have to work for it, however. Like life in NYC, nothing comes easy and that includes love, but getting there is oh so fun and oh so sexy.

I live in New York City with my husband and two children. My day begins with a lot of caffeine and ends with a glass (or two of red wine). I practice law but daydream of a time when I can sit by a beach somewhere and write beautiful stories of men falling in love. Although there are bound to be a few bumps along the way, a Happily Ever After is always guaranteed.

Review – Royally Endowed by Emma Chase

Royally Endowed AMAZON

Royally Endowed by Emma Chase

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“Love isn’t a cure; it doesn’t magically solve every problem. But it makes solving those problems worth it. Love is our inspiration, our motivation…and our reward.”

I’m FLYING…FLOATING on Cloud Nine and I can’t stop!!! Royally Endowed by Emma Chase injected me with some serious SWOON SERUM where I still feel a HEADY HIGH! Royally Endowed is DAZZLING, DREAMY and oh so DIVINE. This fairytale felt like I was experiencing a dream. My face was etched with a dreamy look. This story shot STARS IN MY EYES!!! I still can’t stop SMILING and SWOONING!

In the first few pages, Emma Chase made me feel the plight of a lovesick and broken man. I broke from this broken man. My heart hurt as I felt his sting of rejection sting me.

What I feel for her is the one thing in my life that makes sense. That matters. But I never told her that.

Logan St. James, panty-melting hot bodyguard for the Prince of Wessco, is royally endowed. But it’s not his package that has the younger sister of the Princess smitten; it’s Logan’s huge heart. This beautiful bodyguard is sexy, swoony, strong, and selfless. I LOVED LOGAN so hard!!!

“You’re always doing this,” she whispers.

“Doing what?”

“Saving me.”

I fell in love with the bubbly and bold personality of beautiful Ellie in Royally Screwed, the first book in this series. Princess Olivia’s younger sister is all grown up now and Ellie is a breath of fresh air on a gloomy day. I could feel her sparkling personality through the pages, this beauty inside and out.

“Don’t want you to fall.”

But he’d catch me if I did.

Ellie can’t help but be smitten with the white knight, her bodyguard, who is always saving her. Logan doesn’t want to want the girl he guarded as a teen who is now all woman. A relationship with whom he is guarding can’t happen.

“You look beautiful, Ellie.”

Oh did I MELT!!! I melted into a puddle of goo. Logan is sweetness and swoon with a side of sexy. Logan WOWED me in every way!

“I burn for you, sweet girl. I dream of you, even when I’m awake.”

A relationship beyond friends is FORBIDDEN but fate wants to pull the strings.

“Do you feel it too?”

I would give anything…I would die for the chance to go back and tell her now. Tell her the truth.

[Tell her]:

“I feel it too, Ellie. I always have.”

I did not expect this story to twist and turn itself around me where I FELT ALL THE FEELS. I did not expect to CRY sad tears along with my happy ones. I did not expect to feel so much. I FELT this love story stream through me, sweeping me away. I FELT the passion mixed with promise for this heart-worthy hero and heroine. I FELT every emotion. I FELT EVERYTHING!!!

Royally Endowed is a HEARTFELT, HEADY, HEAD-IN-THE-CLOUDS love story that soars straight to the soul. Fierce. Forbidden. Fabulous. This slow burn of a breathless book seduces with sweetness and swoon. Royally Endowed is WHOLEHEARTEDLY ROMANTIC, a fairytale of feels where you dare to dream.

Emma Chase has WOWED ME again with her superb storytelling skills!!! With its laugh-out-loud humor, off-the-charts chemistry, passion, smolder, strength, sweetness, swoon, soul, and sooo much heart…Royally Endowed is EVERYTHING!!! Emma Chase paints the perfect picture of palace life where you’ll feel as if you are part of the royal family of Wessco too.

Oh did I FALL HARD for Royally Endowed! I was ENCHANTED with this romance. A heady mix of smolder, sass, sweetness, sadness, and suspense, Royally Endowed EXPLODES WITH EMOTION! Emma Chase makes MAGIC IN WORDS, and I was thoroughly TOUCHED by Emma Chase’s fairy dust in Royally Endowed. This romance is so royally good!

“When you look at her, does the whole world sort of…fade away? And she’s the only thing you see? The only thing you ever want to see?”

👑👑👑👑👑 royally good crowns

Logan St. James is a smoldering, sexy beast. Sure, he can be a little broody at times—but Ellie Hammond’s willing to overlook that. Because, have you seen him??

Sexy. As. Hell.

And Ellie’s perky enough for both of them.

For years, she’s had a crush on the intense, gorgeous royal security guard—but she doesn’t think he ever saw her, not really.

To Logan, Ellie was just part of the job—a relative of the royal family he’d sworn to protect. Now, at 22 years old and fresh out of college, she’s determined to put aside her X-rated dreams of pat-downs and pillow talk, and find a real life happily ever after.

The Queen of Wessco encourages Ellie to follow in her sister’s footsteps and settle down with a prince of her own. Or a duke, a marquis…a viscount would also do nicely.

But in the pursuit of a fairy tale ending, Ellie learns that the sweetest crushes can be the hardest to let go.
Logan St. James grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a family on the wrong side of the law. But these days, he covers his tattoos and scars with a respectable suit. He’s handsome, loyal, brave, skilled with his hands and…other body parts.

Any woman would be proud to call him hers.

But there’s only one woman he wants.

For years he’s watched over her, protected her, held her hair back when she was sick, taught her how to throw a punch, and spot a liar.

He dreams of her. Would lay down his life for her.

But beautiful Ellie Hammond’s off-limits.

Everybody knows the bodyguard rules: Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.

But then the mood shifts, as if the air becomes thicker, weighted, more . . . sultry.

Because slowly, Logan sinks down to one knee in front of me—looking in my eyes the whole time. In this position, I could touch his shoulders, comb my fingers through his thick, dark hair. He’s the perfect height for me to bend down and kiss his mouth—the perfect height for him to kiss me back . . . in a lot of places.

My breath hitches. And I wonder he feels it too.

There’s a sound of tearing Velcro, and Logan takes something off his ankle—a holster, with a small silver knife, about three inches long.

“Keep this on you all the time,” he says seriously. “Just in case. If you wear a skirt, the strap will fit around your thigh.”

And I almost laugh. Most girls get a ring from a guy on his knees. I get a murder weapon. But still, it makes me feel safe . . . watched over. Like I’m something precious that deserves to be protected.

I take the knife from him, testing the surprisingly solid, heavy weight of it in my hand. I press my index finger to the tip.

Logan grabs my wrist tightly. “Careful. It’s sharp.”

There’s a small, painless nick, a tiny bead of blood, so I put my finger in my mouth, sucking.

    And Logan’s watching me again.

    Watching my mouth.

His chest seems to rise just a little faster, and his throat ripples when he swallows. He bends his head, curves his strong back, and then I feel his hands on my ankle, securing the strap. His touch is warm and self-assured. It’s the way he always moves—confident and experienced.     Logan knows his body and he knows how to use it, in every way possible.

I almost moan. The sound is in the back of my throat, but I keep it trapped. I never knew the ankle was an erogenous zone, but it sure as hell is now. A hot pulse of pleasure streaks from Logan’s fingers on my bare skin, up my thigh, between my legs.

And I throb there, growing swollen and heavy as he keeps his hands on me.

Can he tell? Does he know? He’s so aware of everything, always so attuned, I wonder if he can sense my arousal . . . feel it in the air that clings between us.

Review – Fractured Love by Ella James

Fractured Love cover

Review graphic

I finished Landon and Evie’s story today and simply sat back, sighed and let this phenomenal second chance love story sink into my heart and my soul. The Off Limits series is such an incredible look at love, loss, and triumph. With each book, Ella solidifies her lock on my love for her words and her ability to leave me breathless, stunned, gutted and so very joyful.

Landon Jones has had his fair share of hard breaks. Abandoned as a child and bounced from foster family to foster family, Landon has never found the place where he fits in. Though he is exceptionally brilliant and on the surface is an ideal child, he feels lost. Until Evie Rutherford enters his life. The Rutherfords change his life and Evie slowly feels the holes in his soul. Evie is drawn to Landon so forcefully, so powerfully. Even at seventeen, what grows between Evie and Landon is earth shattering. As addicted as they were to each other, I found myself so addicted to them I couldn’t move from my seat. I had to know more, see more, feel more from these two young lovers. The pain of watching these two come together and then be torn apart was so deep. Once again, Landon finds himself alone and abandoned and Evie must find a way to survive without the one person she knows holds the key to her everything.

The second half of the book sees these two back together. Older, maybe a bit wiser. Both are doctors – surgeons in the same cohort of residency. Regardless of the years and heartbreak… regardless of the missed opportunities and miscommunications, this is a love story that has to be seen through to its end. And it left me in awe, in tears, and amazed. The chemistry between these two still as strong as it ever was but these two fractured people have demons that they must face, questions that must be answered. But one thing for these two hasn’t changed. They love each other so desperately that nothing could keep them apart.

There were moments in this book where I found myself laughing. Other times I read with my heart in my throat. I left Landon and Evie with a smile on my face and a greater appreciation for love that blossoms even in the midst of horrible obstacles. Fractured Love moved me, made me reflect on my own impossible love story and the fight to grab that happy ending no matter the pain that may come along with it. Ella shows off her uncanny ability to draw a reader into her world and make the reader feel so a part of the story. The secondary characters are so vital to this story. Landon was very real to me – his pain, his unanswered questions, his needs. Evie was just as powerful and just as connected. Her pain, her struggle to face the past, her needs. All so very real. Amazing.

A beautifully written story, Ella James. I cannot applaud you loud enough. Fantastic!

Six Amazing Stars!

Fractured Love Landon teaser

I was sixteen when he came to our house. Landon Jones, a boy with nothing, from nowhere. He had cinnamon hair and blue eyes—light blue, just like mine. When we went out as a family with my foster brother, people asked if Landon was my twin. He wasn’t. That year, we found out how much he wasn’t. When my parents caught us, they threw Landon out like trash.

Now I’m twenty-nine, a soon-to-be surgeon, like my mom and dad. I know residency is going to kick my ass, but I had no idea that it would rip my heart out, too. Not until I see him—Dr. Jones.

Fractured Love Smart teaser

I go to soccer practice, sitting on the bench, and later—after Dad gives me a boot for my ankle—doing stretches in the grass. I can’t keep my gaze away from Landon. The feeling I get when I watch him run, his strong body moving in a pack, when I hear a swatch of conversation with his low voice braided into the chorus, when I catch him glance over at me—it’s like a drug. I crave him.

When I reach my car and find him leaned against the passenger side door, my body sings with pure elation. Mine.

And every night, he reinforces that. Every night, he comes and sits there in the chair beside me. As time passes, he grows bolder, covering himself with a blanket, resting his forehead on the side of the chair, getting me more water before he disappears downstairs.

It’s not until one night when I wrinkle my nose to try to alleviate an itch that my eyes open accidentally, and I find his gaze on me.

I try to feign sleep, but Landon grins.

“How long have you known…”

“That you’re awake?” He laughs. I cover my face with my hand, and he says, “How long have you known that I come in here?”

I laugh. “For a while, maybe.”

His face is warm, his eyes alight. “Me too. Maybe.”

“You’re a rat.” I sit up, leaning slightly toward him.

“You use stairs at school.” His face goes solemn.

I nod.

“And yet…”

And yet, I’m still down here on the couch at night. “I know.”

He steeples his fingers, looking over them at me like an old-school psychoanalyst.

“Why is that?”

My heart beats wildly. I whisper, “Because I want to see you.”

I can see my words hit his face. He looks surprised—and happy—and then, right thereafter, grave. “You can’t want that,” he says softly.

I’m surprised to find that I feel angry. “Why not? You do.”

“Yes, and I’m discreet, Evie. No one knows how much I need you. That I can’t sleep unless I sit here with you first. That I need the ride to school and home with you. I need to be near you. No one knows that. No one will ever find out.”

I reach for him, and Landon stares down at my hand before he takes it, cradling it in both of his.

“I know,” I whisper, looking into his gray eyes.

“I know you know. Because you know me.”

He leans down then, wrapping his arm around me, pulling me slightly up against his chest. He doesn’t kiss me, doesn’t even move, he just holds me up against him. I can feel his heart beat through the fabric of his T-shirt.

“Evie… Please,” he murmurs into my hair. “We have to be so smart about this.” His arms hold me tighter, even as he says, “There shouldn’t be a ‘this.’”
