One Night by Aleatha Romig

My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

When you finish a romance, one you CONSUMED in one night, and are still GLOWING and GIDDY like a school girl with her first crush, you know it’s a super star of a story. ONE NIGHT by Aleatha Romig delivers a dual dose of HEAT and HEART, a HEADY HIT felt everywhere!!!

One night was all it took for me to devour Aleatha Romig’s latest sensation. One night and I SMOLDERED. One night and I SWOONED. One night was all it took for One Night to OWN EVERY OUNCE OF ME. One night and I was a GONER for this head-in-the clouds love story. One Night and it felt like coming home, the most delicious deja vous, as I already met the shortened version of this story under Aleatha Romig’s former alter ego or the dynamic duo known as Jade Sinner.

Beautiful and caring Amanda Wells was struck by a tragedy that forever altered her world. She has no time for dating with a busy life dedicated to her family and work. I felt her pain and struggle, a blow no one should bear.

One encounter one night with a stranger, a gorgeous god, Malcolm, changes Amanda’s night…her world…everything.

“You said you want one night. One night doesn’t end with a kiss. It begins with one.”

Malcolm and Amanda are magical together and I loved them! This hero and heroine’s pull is instant, their chemistry combustible, their meeting perhaps inevitable. It FELT like FATE, as if this romance was meant to be and MEANT FOR ME.

It’s one of my favorite views, watching her come.

HOLY HOTNESS!!! Malcolm and his delicious mouth are SMOKIN’ HOT! One Night is SULTRY, a story that BLAZES with heat and BURNS with desire. Oh did I burn too!

“What do you want?”

“Oh, beautiful. I want you.”

I’m DONE! Malcolm’s beautiful and bold words made me MELT me into a pool of gushy feels. I felt ALL OF THE SWOON! This hot and huge-hearted hero POSSESSED ME! Oh was I Malcolm’s!

One Night by Aleatha Romig is a sexy, swoon-filled, butterfly-fluttering, full-of-feels love story….but SO MUCH MORE!!! One Night is FATE FUSED WITH FEELS. One Night is a tale of destiny, so dreamy that you’ll float to Cloud Nine. One Night delivers two meaningful messages, mantras that we all should follow: Live life to its fullest; don’t let it pass you by. If life knocks you down, dust yourself off, get back up, and try again…rise again.

As I continue to bask in the afterglow of sweetness, still warm from the heat, I can’t help but SMILE from this special story that I got to feel again. One Night BURNED MY BODY and STORMED MY SOUL, hitting my heart where my emotions were engulfed in this romance, pulling at every part of me. My soul sank into this story along with my heart. I was BEGUILED with this book that quickly became BOOK BLISS! I was wholeheartedly hooked! Hook. Line. Sinker. One night was all it took for this tantalizing and tender tale to become one AMAZING ADDICTION!

A MUST-READ ROMANCE!!!

A sweet, fun, and sexy stand-alone romance from New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig.

One night to remember

Is that too much to desire?

One night for fun, passion, and a chance to remember what it’s like to be a woman.
I’m not looking for love.
There’s a man in my life who loves me with all his heart. He has beautiful blue eyes, is three feet tall, and calls me mommy.
He’s my whole world and I’m his. Fate stole his daddy way too soon.
What would happen if I allowed fate another chance, just for one night?

One night to help a friend

Why did I agree to this?
Blind dates are disasters. If I weren’t helping the friend of a friend, I wouldn’t go.
I’m not looking for romance, love, or even a one-night stand.
After all, the man my friend knew is gone. I’m no longer the hockey star known for his “pep” on the ice and in the sack. I have a new life, and a new career—a new passion. I’m not looking for more.
When the blind date is a bust, could fate change everything?

One night doesn’t end with a kiss—it begins with one.

Be ready to laugh, cry, and fall head over heels as you meet Leatha, the lighter side of Aleatha in this new sweet and sexy stand-alone romance, ONE NIGHT.

Mandy

When we finally pull apart, before I can speak or even contemplate what happened, Malcolm’s blue eyes shine down on me, taking me in and reading me.

His voice rumbles through the background commotion of the bar. “You taste like sweet wine and smell like perfume and desire.”

Warmth fills my cheeks. “You taste like good beer.”

“Good? You’re a beer connoisseur?”

I shrug. “Mostly, I know cheap beer.”

He lifts my chin, bringing his indigo eyes into focus. The room disappears, making those blue orbs all I can see.

“I’m a connoisseur,” he says as his thumb gently rubs over my bruised lips. “And you, beautiful Mandy, if you were a beer, would never be a cheap one. No, you’re a rich custom craft brew. I see it in your eyes, feel it in your touch, and smell it in the air. Kissing a stranger isn’t something you do, is it?”

I try to move my eyes away, but Malcolm’s grip of my chin is unrelenting. Meeting his gaze, I reply, “No. I won’t even bore you with how long it’s been since I’ve kissed a real man.”

His eyes sparkle. “You kiss fake men?”

“Boys. Well, only one actually.”

“You kiss boys…” And then, as if the reality of his statement hits home, he asks, “You have a son?”

My heart flutters, its speed increasing by the second. “I do, but I don’t want to talk about him. Not because he isn’t important for he is—he’s my world—but because tonight isn’t about him. It’s about me.” I can’t gauge Malcolm’s reaction. I can only guess that he’s assuming that I’m some needy woman trying to get a man to take on the responsibility of a kid who isn’t his.

I reach out and splay my fingers over his chest. His heart is beating to match mine. “I don’t want to talk about him,” I continue, “because he’ll never know about you—I’ll never tell him and never introduce you. Don’t worry. I’m not after a man to rescue me. I’m perfectly content with my life as a mother. I just wanted to remember what it felt like to be a woman…for just one night.”

“I’m not anti-children—”

I shake my head. “Stop. That doesn’t matter.” It’s then that I notice the filled glasses on the table and laugh. “When did the waitress come?”

Malcolm bows his head until our noses touch. He inhales deeply, his eyes closing as his hand falls to my lap. “I’d say just after you.”

More heat floods my cheeks. “I-I didn’t…”

“Then we need to do something about that.” He looks again at the full glasses. “I think the drinks came while my tongue was busy getting to know your sweet mouth.” His hand splays over my thigh.

My breathing hitches. “Malcolm?”

“You said you want one night. One night doesn’t end with a kiss. It begins with one.”

Review – Temporary by Alexx Andria

Temporary cover

Review graphic

This is the delicious fun that I have come to know from Alexx Andria! A dark hero and the fiesty girl… steamy sexy chemistry. Don’t forget the wicked push and pull between said dark hero and his fiesty girl. Throw in a Buchanan or two that we have had the pleasure of meeting in Alexx’s previous series, and you have Temporary. Don’t think that you’re going to be able to read a little of this and walk away for a few hours. Oh no! This book kept pulling me back every time that I tried to walk away. The story is so well written and just so much fun to read that I didn’t want to stop until I was done. I even found myself highlighting passages and sending them to my blog mates just so they could read the hot steamy, jaw dropping scenes right along with me!

Mari Jones is down on her luck. She’s working in a dive bar in NYC, trying to make rent because her dead beat ex-boyfriend has stolen all of her money. She’s a small town girl from California trying to make her dreams come true. She never expected this and doesn’t want to return home to hear “I told you so” from her family. All that changes when Gage Donnelly appears in Jimmy’s and offers her a drink and a proposal that will change her life. One night. No feelings. Just sex.

It’s never that easy. Gage has a past filled with painful secrets and guilt that he can’t shake. He can’t have love. He’s not worthy of it. He can’t have Mari for longer than a short time. But can he really only something superficial with this woman that he has admired from a far? Can Mari forget what she feels when she’s with Gage? The sense of belonging, the bright burning passion, the push he gives her to be more?

Oh, you Buchanan Brothers! How I have missed all of you…

Don’t miss this fantastic read! I so enjoyed this angsty, sensual read. It’s as heartbreaking as it is heartwarming, an absolutely sinful way to spend an evening! Fantastic!

Temporary teaser 1

img_0283-13

It’s only temporary, baby. Don’t go catching feelings because I will tear you apart.

GAGE
Mari Jones is an itch under my skin that I can’t satisfy. The sassy, long-legged cocktail waitress is everything I shouldn’t want. Smart-mouthed, take-no-shit, sexy-as-hell, and the worst thing I could throw into my life but I want her.
The thing is…I’ve always wanted her.
She doesn’t remember me but I’ve never forgotten her.
And now I’m going to put her into my bed.
Don’t get me wrong — I’m not about forever — I see what I want and I find a way to get it but it’s always a temporary fix.
No amount of money in the world can fix what’s broken inside me — and I should know, I’m fucking loaded — so don’t even try.
I’m damaged. Broken to the core.
If she catches feelings, I’m going to ruin her.
Even though I know I should walk, I can’t.
She’s everything I ever wanted…everything I will never deserve to have.
Right or wrong…she’s mine.

Publisher’s Note: This is a full-length novel at 40,000 words. It’s everything you’ve come to expect in an Alexx Andria read — hot sex, witty banter, and dark angst — if that sounds like your thing, feel free to one-click this bad boy billionaire and settle in for a deliciously wicked and entertaining time. Oh, and fans of Alexx’s Buchanan series…you might just recognize a character or two. Enjoy!

Temporary teaser 2

img_0285-7

“I want you, Mari,” Gage stated, leaning back, kicking his leg out casually beneath the scratched and ruined table. “Name your price.”

“N-name my price?” I stuttered, incredulous. “What does that mean? And what makes you think I even have a price that I would offer? I’m not a vendor at a flea market, ready to haggle over an item…especially when that item is me.”

His smirk did crazy things to my belly even as his answer pissed me off fresh. “Everyone has a price. Even you. I’m willing to bet your price is a lot lower than you think it would be.”

Oh, hell no, what? “Did you just insult me?”

“Not at all. Just sharing a bit of what I know about human nature.”

“Well, you don’t know shit about me,” I said, rising. “I’m done with this ridiculous game. I don’t care how rich you are, you can’t buy me.”

Screw Manny and his greed. He could find someone else to pander to the rich jerk, I was out.

“You’re broke. You’ll be homeless by the end of the month because you can’t pay your rent and something tells me you aren’t going to make enough in tips to get what you need by month’s end.”

His calm voice at my back froze my feet. I turned slowly. “How the hell do you know my personal business?”

He waved away my question as if I were naive. “Nothing is private, sweetheart. I can get everything I need to know about you with the push of a button. Financial records are the easiest.” He paused only to punctuate his point. “Is my intel wrong? Do you have a secret stash of cash in your mattress that you’re holding onto for a rainy day?”

No, he wasn’t wrong — Gage knew how precarious my situation was.

Review – Clandestine by Ava Harrison

Clandestine by Ava Harrison

“In my weakness, I find my strength.” – Olivia, Clandestine by Ava Harrison

WOW…

Five hours it’s taken me to write this review. Five hours of thoughts, words & emotions that are wildly thrashing around inside me. I always find it a struggle to review the books that knock me off my feet and affect me deeply. Clandestine by Ava Harrison did just that. I was not expecting this book to role the way it did. I was not expecting this book to hit me as deep as it did. I am a whirlwind of EMOTIONS! I’m just OVERWHELMED.

Clandestine is hands down Ava’s best book yet. This is not a happy dancing rom-com and I wasn’t expecting it to be. With Ava you always know you will get your soul smashed and your heart broken, in the best way possible of course, but there was something about Ava’s writing in Clandestine that just draws you in and consumes you. I don’t think I’ve felt so connected to a female character in a long time! And I am SO IN LOVE with this male character that I feel like he’s printed on my marrow.

Olivia made my heart ache. The way Ava wrote her was sublime. Every woman will relate to Olivia in some way. Every woman will understand her, even if it’s just one part of her, she will connect with you somehow. All of her feelings and emotions are REAL. And they hit deep.

Spencer is a beast! He’s raw and powerful, cocky and ambitious, sexy and hella sinful, but he too is broken. Without even realising I fell hard for this hero super quickly. His sinful, swoony ways made it easy and as the book progressed I just couldn’t help myself.

But together they are intense, passionate and HOT. A raging inferno. Ava NAILS their connection from the very first time they meet.

Character aside, Ava delivers a hard hitting, emotional story that written so precisely. Ava handled all the topics this story touches on with dedication and care. The raw, intensity of Ava’s words made this already beautiful novel even more so. Clandestine is forever embedded in my heart.

5 captivating, all consuming stars.

One night.

No names.

No commitment.

That was our agreement.

But Spencer Lancaster was addictive.

And I was high.

High off his taste, starved for his kiss, and desperate for his touch.

So when he asked me to stay, to enjoy his company for more nights than I knew I should, I wasn’t in the right mind to say no.

Everything was perfect. A dream come true.

But half a world away there were secrets.

Lies.

Insecurities.

All of the truths that could tear us apart.

*Clandestine is a FULL-LENGTH STANDALONE.

Review – Nate by Celia Aaron

Nate Ebook Cover

Review graphic

Hot! This book is a MUST READ!

First the first page to the last sentence, NATE had me by the throat and would not let me go. I turned the pages of this naughty little read until there were no more words. One incredibly alpha mafia boss, the young girl that he saved and the attraction that should be off limits between them. Sounds like a story you’ve read a million times, yes? Don’t judge this man and this story by other cliches. If I had, I would have missed out on one ridiciously incredible read!

Nate Franco is not your regular hero. He’s cold blooded, commanding and at times, just plain scary. He’s loyal to men under his rule. They are his family and the underground syndicate of Philadelphia is his to rule as he sees fit. When he saved a young girl who was almost killed in a hit on her family, he took on another role – protector and hero to Sabrina. She becomes his ward and he does what he must to keep her safe from those who would see her dead. He never planned for Sabrina to go from that scared thirteen year old girl to a beautiful young woman of eighteen with her own plans and ideas of what she wants for her life.

And Sabrina wants Nate.

These two have amazing off the wall chemistry. From the moment he sets eyes on Sabrina, the attraction overwhelms Nate. She’s wise beyond her years. Smart and determined to have everything. It was hard not to admire her and I found myself cheering her on in her quest to get her man. Still Nate’s life is a dark one, filled with underhanded schemes, illegal activities and death. No matter how much he wants Sabrina away from his business, Sabrina has her mind made up. She wants Nate and everything that being his entails.

Oh, this was a wonderful change of pace for me and my first read from Celia. It most definitely will not be my last! The story was flawlessly written, flowed beautifully and kept me happy all the way through. Nate and Sabrina were just amazing together, and after a few chapters it didn’t remotely matter that Sabrina was very much younger than Nate. I very much hope that brothers Peter and David as well as Irish intern Angus get to tell their stories soon! The secondary characters made this book and had me wanting more pages, more history, just more!

Fantastic, Celia! You just got yourself a new fan!

Five Dark Protector Stars!

Nate Teaser 1

img_0283-13

I rescued Sabrina from a mafia bloodbath when she was thirteen. Doing right by her became a priority for me, even while I was busy as the new head of the Philly syndicate. I sent her to the best boarding schools and kept her as far away from the life as possible. It worked perfectly. Until she turned 18. Until she came home. Until I realized that the timid girl was gone and in her place lived a smart mouth, a wicked imagination, and a body that demanded my attention. Who am I? I’m F*cked. Nice to meet you.

Review – 7 Dirty Lies by Alexis Anne

When you pick up a book from a new author, you never know what you’re gonna get. Alexis completely sucked me in like a vortex weaving a spell around my heart. To say I was extremely satisfied is an understatement. There was no unnecessary words just to fill in a period of time over months. That makes it so much more appealing.
Lily has so much negativity in her life and is in need of a retreat where she can be someone else for once. Her best friend keeps pushing her to hook up with someone especially the sexy cowboys that is eyeing her up while she discretely eyes him up. Not letting her chicken out, her friend puts the plan in motion and sends that sexy cowboy her way.
Colt has literally been forced to go on this vacation by his sister who knows he desperately needs a break. Colt isn’t Happy to be there but when he gets pushed towards Lily, he just can’t understand how this woman has taken all his worries away.
Unfortunately, their rendezvous can’t last forever. The two make plans to meet the same time next year, but fate has something else in store. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series, and this author has made it on my mist read radar!

It was right out of one of my movies:

Tropical island, sexy single man, two hot nights of nameless passion.

Except instead of falling into each other’s arms, we went our separate ways, never to be seen again.

Of course I thought about him all the time. The way he laughed, the way he saw right through me, the way he took no shit as his strong hands roamed my body. If there was one night I could repeat, it would be that one.

I never expected to see my mystery man again.

Fast forward to my new movie set and the handsome property owner. Yep, same guy. Same sexy, sexy guy. Our chemistry is still off the charts but there’s one tiny problem: he doesn’t trust me.

Okay, so I skipped a few important details. I don’t blame the guy. But they were just little white lies. Unfortunately if I want that movie-perfect ending I’m going to have to set the record straight…and hopefully have a little fun in the process.

Review~ A little bit like love by Brooke Blaine

A little bit like love Brooke Blaine
A first read for me of Brooke Blaine and a little off the usual path off book I read however I really enjoyed Brooke’s writing style and will definitely be reading more.
The chemistry between Lucas and Jackson burns to the point of leaving your kindle a smouldering mess. This story is filled with angst, characters that you do want to love and my God can they be frustrating at times. The side characters in this book leave you needing to know more from them. A second chance, going back, never giving up on love.

What if you had everything in the world you wanted…except the man you’d left behind?

Jackson Davenport, the charismatic, strait-laced heir to the Davenport fortune, has a secret. One he’s been hiding since he graduated from South Haven all-boys academy—and that secret’s name is Lucas.

When a work trip takes Jackson back to his old stomping grounds, memories of the year he shared with Lucas come crashing to the surface. With growing pressure from his father to settle down and take over the family business, Jackson knows he’s on borrowed time, and sets out to find the free-spirited daredevil he once knew.

But Lucas isn’t the same man he was eight years ago.

One night. A shattered heart. And an endless parade of nameless faces. Lucas Sullivan is South Haven’s ultimate playboy, a reputation he’s honed since the only boy he ever loved left without a trace. To the world, he’s brash and confident, an in-demand artist who spends his days designing one-of-a-kind pieces and his nights as king of the downtown scene.

Many have tried and failed to get past the barrier he’s carefully constructed, but it’s the shy, studious boy he once coaxed out of his shell who still haunts him.

Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe it was lust. Or maybe…it was a little bit like love.

WITH THE NOTE from Principal Stewart crumpled in my fist, I stalked away from his office, away from the words I knew would haunt me forever.

“I’m sorry, Jackson. Your father is quite…insistent you return to Connecticut immediately.”

Immediately…immediately… With every echo of that word through my mind, my heart battered my chest, the ache to rip itself free of my body a plea I was helpless to honor.

There was only one reason he would’ve demanded I leave South Haven before the end of classes next week. My father had been adamant I receive the best education his money afforded, choosing to ship me down to south Georgia to attend the most prestigious all-boys academy in the country. I’d done him proud, rising to the top of my class, and I’d been practicing my salutatorian speech for days. Skipping out on graduation and the pomp and circumstance and recognition that came with it? Out of the question. Which could only mean one thing.

He knew. Somehow he knew.

That was the only explanation for the letter in my hand, for the abrupt dismissal this late in the evening and this close to the end of the school year. My father hadn’t gotten to where he was by being stupid or blind, and I’d seriously underestimated how many eyes and ears had been watching me during my four years. Although it would’ve only been the whispers over the last few months that piqued his interest, only the last eight that he would’ve had any reason to give me a second thought.

And that reason wasn’t a what—it was a who.

The halls of the St. John’s dormitory were silent when I entered, all the students down at the mess hall for dinner, followed by the final bonfire of the year. So there wouldn’t be anyone around to see me sneak down the hall to where I knew I shouldn’t be going but couldn’t help myself. My feet seemed to move of their own accord, the countdown to my utter devastation causing me to pick up the pace. The private plane would arrive in a handful of hours, giving me just enough time to pack my things, but there was no way I could leave without a goodbye. Not going to happen.

I wasn’t ready. I was supposed to have more time. As a cold sweat of panic seized me, I balled the letter tighter in my fist and chucked it into one of the trash bins as I passed.

Screw my father. Screw the life he’d set out for me, the one I was destined to live and hate with every fiber of my being. I wanted to bottle up every one of his expectations and throw the blasted thing out at an angry sea to swallow up and tear apart instead.

I wished it could be as easy as that. I’d been able to fool myself into a sense of freedom, but the cell door was about to smash shut on every dream I’d let myself have these past few months.

His private dorm was at the end of the long hall, last one on the right, and I rapped on it twice fast, waited a moment, and then repeated the pattern that we used for each other. A few seconds later, the door swung open, and seeing the sole object of my daily and nightly thoughts standing there in front of me with a mixture of surprise and delight in his eyes made me think that coming here had been a mistake. It was only going to sink the dagger in farther.

“Hey…I thought we were meeting la—” Lucas’s words cut off and the smile curling his lips fell as he got a good look at my face. “What’s wrong?”

You should tell him. Tell him what’s going on and that it isn’t your fault. Look him in the eye when you tell him you can never see him again.

A shooting pain tore through my chest as I realized what this goodbye actually meant. I wasn’t saying I wouldn’t be seeing him for the next couple of days or weeks. When I left South Haven’s campus in the early hours of the morning, I wouldn’t be seeing him again…ever.

God, can I do this? Break his heart as well as mine?

No…no, I couldn’t tell him. He’d look for me, find me, and there was no telling what my father would do if that happened. The letter had been my old man’s warning. Disobeying his orders would mean consequences neither of us were prepared for.

“Jackson?” Lucas’s voice dropped low, and then he looked past me out into the deserted hall. When he didn’t see anyone to blame on my current state, he frowned and waited for an answer.

The words didn’t come, though, so I stood there staring at him, taking a mental snapshot that I’d store away in a place no one could find and destroy. His black hair was casually tousled, and I knew him well enough to know he’d worried his hands through it, maybe wondering if I wouldn’t follow through on our plans tonight. He wore a simple grey t-shirt and low-slung jeans on his long and lean frame, and the swirl of black tattoos he’d recently inked on his tanned skin could be seen peeking around his right bicep before disappearing from view behind the thin material of his shirt. He was striking, both in looks and personality, and to say I hadn’t been expecting the force that was Lucas Sullivan when he’d transferred to the academy eight months ago was an understatement.

Quite simply, I’d been lost to him the first time I laid eyes on him.

Forcing myself to shake off my dread, I said, “I’m okay,” and tried to believe it for his sake.

“Well, you look like hell.” He leaned against the doorway, one of those charming half-grins cocking up one side of his lips. “Hell on wheels, anyway. What’d you do, run all the way here?”

Not too far off there. I didn’t even remember crossing campus to get to his dorm until I was in front of the building.

When I didn’t laugh at his teasing, Lucas’s expression fell again and his brows pulled down, a crease forming between them as his eyes, the color of a stormy sky, gave me a thorough once-over, looking for the source of my pain. He was silent for a long moment, but he must’ve seen something he didn’t like, because he stiffened and his jaw clenched. Then he took a deep breath and let it out in a rush.

“Tell me.”

“Tell you what?” I asked.

Lucas shook his head, his arms going over his chest. “I’m not helping you out here. If you came here for a reason, get out with it.”

Did he know? He couldn’t. I’d only just found out myself, and… No. There was no way. “It’s…complicated.”

“Complicated?”

“Yes.”

Lucas gave a humorless chuckle. “Jackson Davenport, I knew you were scared, but I never took you for a coward. If you don’t want to do this, you can man the hell up and tell me to my face.”

“What are you… I’m not…” I ran my hand over my face, struggling to understand the conclusion he’d come to for why I was standing at his door. My lack of a poker face had put him on the defensive. He thought I was here to reject him. An idea so completely unfathomable to me that it made my stomach turn thinking about it. “Lucas…you’ve got this all wrong.”

“Do I?”

“Yes. I’m not here to—“ I almost said “end things with you,” but I didn’t want to lie to him. I never had and I never would. Instead, I said, “Fight with you. I don’t want to fight.”

“Then why are you here, Jackson?” he asked, and my gaze fell to his lips. I’d tasted those lips only a few times, not nearly enough to quench a starving man’s hunger. All these months I’d wasted, warring with myself in my head, never letting myself have the thing I wanted most. And now I was down to a matter of hours. It wasn’t enough, not nearly enough. But it was all I had, and I wasn’t wasting another second.

If I couldn’t tell Lucas how I felt about him, then I’d show him.

Finally.

Irrevocably.

And starting now.

About Brooke Blaine:

You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.

She is the author of Flash Point, a romantic suspense standalone, as well as the co-author of the erotic series, A Desperate Man, with Ella Frank. The latter has scarred her conservative southern family for life, bless their hearts. Licked, a romantic comedy, will be released November 11th, 2015 and is the first in the L.A. Liaisons series.

If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find – just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.

REVIEW ~ All I NEED ~ CALLIE HARPER

All I need 5 stars
All I need is Book 4 of the All in series and a book that does not disappoint, each book can be read as a standalone but if you’ve read Callie’s previous books then Ian will have tweaked your curiosity…
Ian, dark, broody, arrogant and closed off from the outside world, has his world turned upside down curtesy of the sweet, innocent yet feisty Annie.
The story pulls you in and feeds your thirst and curiosity about Ian, there are occasions you simply want to reach into the book and slap some sense into him and oh my Annie the grit and determination that lass has when dealing with Ian’s sarcastic charms makes her shine, as the story builds you can feel the chemistry start to burn between the pair and their pathways become more entwined and the character development alongside the storyline is perfect, add some spice and heat and the quite little mouse finds her voice to tame the beast…. Can Annie bring Ian back from dark? Will they get the HEA and put the past behind them? Grab your copy today and go All in….
This has been by far my favourite in the All in series. Excited to see what comes next from Callie.

“It’s just a job, how hard can it be?”

I was hired by his father to become his live-in caregiver.

It sounded like an easy job. But the day I arrived at his broken-down Scottish castle I started to realize it might not be as easy as I thought.

I was not told that I’d be looking after a dark, brooding, rich man mired in a world of pain.

I was not told that this man would push all my buttons and test even my strongest limits.

I was not told that he was devastatingly gorgeous with a wickedly, sinful mouth.

I was definitely not told that what I’d end up feeling and what he would propose would drive me wild. But I’m Annie and this is my new job. And damn it, I’m not going to let anything, even him, that gorgeous, sinful, delicious man, stand in my way.

You believe me? Don’t you?

Review – Unscripted Love by Aimee Nicole Walker

Oh Aimee! You have thoroughly rocked my world with Chaz and Kyle’s story. I had been anticipating this for a long time, and it held everything I hoped it would.

Finally seeing Chaz happy was the best. Even Kyle perked up. These two have such amazing chemistry and it was good to see their journey to get their happy ever after.

But Chaz is holding a secret that may end them before they even begin. Of course, I loved seeing Josh and Gabe have appearances. Once again, Aimee has delivered another 5 star read.

Road to Blissville Series, Book 1

AIMEE NICOLE WALKER

M/M ROMANCE

RELEASE DATE: 07.11.17

PHOTOGRAPHER: Wander Aguiar

COVER ARTIST:  Jay Aheer/Simply Defined Art

Kyle Vaughn had three goals in life: become a vet, find the man of his dreams, and start a family. He easily checked off the first item on the list when he took over his grandfather’s veterinary practice. Too bad he wasn’t as lucky in love.

Chaz Hamilton took a leap of faith when he decided to pursue a career in writing, but one best seller didn’t mean he could quit his day job. All work and no play threatened to make Chaz a very dull man when the only romantic action he saw was in the pages of his manuscript. Too bad he couldn’t write his own happily every after.

Circumstances pushed the two men together, and one magical kiss beneath fireworks and stars changed everything. Kyle knew his luck had finally turned around and Chaz found a man far better than any book boyfriend ever written. There was just one problem. Chaz has kept a secret from Kyle that could ruin their chance at a beautiful life together.

Kyle and Chaz learn that the best-laid plans often go awry, the heart has a mind of its own, and the greatest love is unscripted.

The books in the Road to Blissville series can be read either as standalone books or as part of the series. This book contains sexually explicit material and is intended for mature adults 18 and older.

Chaz stared unblinkingly into my eyes for several awkward moments when I arrived. Our connection broke when he took a deep breath and shifted his features into a mask of cool professionalism, but not before I saw the hurt in his eyes. Hurt? What the hell did he have to feel hurt about? I was the one who put myself out there, and he ignored me.

If asked, I would tell you that my greatest personality trait was my patience and my laid-back attitude was a close second. I rarely lost my temper, but I felt my blood simmering beneath the surface that day. My heart pounded in my chest as fury rose inside me. I had half a mind to toss him over my shoulder and carry him off so I could kiss a confession out of him. I hadn’t mistaken the desire in his eyes when he looked at me nor had I imagined the sparks that flew between us when our lips first touched. I just needed to find out why Chaz turned cold on me so suddenly.

“Jazz is running a few minutes behind,” Chaz coolly said as if he spoke to someone who hadn’t experienced the pleasure of his tongue in their mouth. “Please help yourself to a beverage and a magazine while you wait in the reception area.”

That little imp was dismissing me, and I wasn’t about to… My thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of heavy work boots walking across the polished hardwood floor of the salon. It wasn’t a sound I associated with the classy salon, so I turned to see who was wearing them. My mouth dropped open at the sight of the sexy stud approaching Chaz and me, but I don’t think he even noticed I was alive because he couldn’t seem to tear his eyes off of Chaz. Was this guy the reason Chaz didn’t answer my calls or return my messages.

My eyes raked over the tall, dark stranger with bulging biceps and perfect pecs straining the fabric of his white T-shirt that was three sizes too small. His tool belt hung low over jeans much too tight to wear while constructing anything but wet dreams.

“Hi Andy,” Chaz said cheerfully. “How’s it going?”

I didn’t care if Andy constructed orphanages in third world countries in his free time; I hated his fucking guts because of the way he looked at Chaz and the way Chaz returned his interest. Andy leaned artfully against the high counter of the reception desk and smiled at Chaz.

“It could’ve been better,” Andy said. “A certain someone could’ve joined me for a drink like I asked.”

Chaz laughed uneasily and darted a glance in my direction to judge my reaction. I thought the soft blush that bloomed across his cheeks was adorable and wished that I was the one who put it there. His eyes widened when they met mine, and he licked his bottom lip nervously. Could he sense how angry I was right then? Was anger even the right emotion? It felt more like… jealousy. I could feel that I wasn’t the only one who had ideas what Chaz could do with his sexy tongue. I turned to face my new nemesis.

“I don’t believe we’ve met yet,” I said to the newcomer. “I’m Dr. Kyle Vaughn.” Even to my own ears, I sounded a bit pretentious, but I couldn’t take it back once the words left my mouth. I extended my hand to him, which he accepted in a vice-like grip.

“Andy Mason,” he told me. “Carpenter.” I could tell he wasn’t impressed by my title and didn’t like the possessive gleam he saw in my eyes. I narrowed my eyes as the beefcake squeezed my hand harder instead of releasing it.

“Guys,” Chaz said, trying to interrupt the standoff between us. We ignored his attempts and continued to stare one another down like two MMA fighters at the press conference before fight night. “Andy.” The flirty way Chaz said Andy’s name penetrated the carpenter’s brain and he jerked his attention back to Chaz.

    “Yeah?” He asked, sounding hopeful.

“What’s the real reason you came downstairs?” Chaz asked, his flirty tone replaced with a professional one. “As flattering as it would be, I’m pretty sure you’re a man on a mission.”

    “I’m a multitasker,” Andy boasted.

I am a wife and mother to three kids, three dogs, and a cat. When I’m not dreaming up stories, I like to lose myself in a good book, cook or bake. I’m a girly tomboy

who paints her fingernails while watching sports and yelling at the referees.

I will always choose the book over the movie. I believe in happily-ever-after. Love inspires everything that I do. Music keeps me sane.

Review – Well Built by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde

Well Built cover

Review graphic

Ohhhhhh, mercy! This series just gets better with every single book. I cannot say that enough. Well Built was just incredible. This is the second chance love story for a love that should have been all along. It’s angsty, full of misunderstandings. It’s sexy and sinful. How can anyone deny that Kyle Coleman is absolutely divine? Ella Fisher certainly cannot. I devoured this sensational story!

Kyle and Ella were high school sweethearts. They had siblings who were very much less than perfect, causing a rift between the the Colemans and Fishers that ran way deeper than anyone ever imagined. When forced to take sides, Kyle chooses Chicago and Ella chooses her father. Fast forward ten years and the successful Kyle Coleman has returned to make his mother’s dreams a reality – at the cost of Ella’s. One thing hasn’t changed in ten years though – these two have unfinished business. There’s no being just friends with these two. There’s no mending the fences and just being neighbors. These two are a smoldering coal ready to go full flame. Kyle left once and no way is he leaving what’s his again.

When I started this one, there was no way to put it down. No way not to be drawn into this fantastic second chance. Kyle and Ella have grown up but haven’t moved on. They have tried to move past what they felt as kids but watching them recapture first their friendship and then their love was just amazing. Both are so devoted to family but with a two very different approaches, and who can’t love a man so devoted to his mother’s total happiness? I fell so hard. How could I not? This was another dynamic book by Carly and Erika. Now to see what Connor gets into…

Fantastic, ladies. Again.

Five City Boy Stars!

When it comes to women, sexy, well-built Kyle Coleman has always been a lover, not a fighter. His one exception? The sassy, tempting, smart-mouthed Ella Fisher. Her family and his are sworn enemies, which make the two of them off-limits—despite the fact that she’s inspired some of his dirtiest, most erotic fantasies for years. But when the lines between animosity and lust become irrevocably blurred one fateful evening, their one night stand leads to a very unexpected consequence—that changes everything between them forever.

As they stared at one another and Ella’s smile faded away, Kyle reached out and dragged the pad of his thumb along her soft cheek and didn’t hold back what he was feeling. “Is it selfish of me that I’m glad that you’re stuck in the city and here with me right now?”

”No,” she whispered, not bothering to hide the longing and desire shining in her eyes. “Is it selfish of me that I want you, even knowing it can only be for this one night?”

Another bold and daring invitation that was wreaking havoc with his dwindling willpower. “Ella . . . ” His voice was gruff as he watched her tongue shyly skim across her full bottom lip. “You’re making it so damn hard to be good.”

”I don’t want you to be good. I really want you to be bad. With me.”

She lifted her hand and touched the cool tips of her fingers against the hollow of his throat, then slowly, gradually caressed them down the middle of his chest, along his abs, and followed the thin trail of hair that led to the waistband of his boxer briefs and the hard length of his eager cock.

He groaned, his chest heaving, and before she could cup him in her hand, he grabbed her hips and hauled her body up against his. She gasped, her eyes widening, but not in shock. No, they were fucking triumphant because she’d finally gotten what she wanted.

Then again, when it came to Ella, she’d been his greatest weakness, and he’d always given her whatever she desired. Why had he thought this would be any different?

He backed her up, and when her ass hit the edge of his dining table, he lifted her so she was sitting on the flat surface. Holding her gaze, he pushed her thighs wide apart and stepped in between, making sure she could feel every fucking inch of his aching dick pressing against that sweet spot between her legs.

He buried his hands in her hair, gently tugging on the roots to tip her head back so she couldn’t look away. And Jesus, the need in her eyes, all for him, nearly slayed every last bit of his control. “Are you sure about this?” he asked, because he didn’t want her to wake up in the morning with regrets.

She was already unbuttoning the shirt she was wearing, revealing the soft, delectable curves of her breasts, her smooth, flat stomach . . . “Absolutely sure,” she breathed huskily. “Just this one night, Kyle. Please.”

It was that last word that shattered his resolve and had him crushing his lips against hers in a hungry, endless kiss while she desperately shrugged out of his shirt until it pooled around her on the table. His tongue swept over hers, the connection turning hotter, deeper, as he angled her head so he had full access to every part of her mouth. Jesus Christ, he wanted to fucking own her.

Review – The Bars Between Us by A.S. Teague

My rating is 5 out of 5 stars

What a read. It’s almost like solving a mystery. You can’t put the book down because you need to know if you’re right about what comes next. Everytime I thought I had it figured out, it changed. I loved every minute of it.
I love the fact that Grace is a strong independent woman despite the hand she was dealt in life. She is also the most kind hearted person ever. When her job takes her to a new location, she never expect hurricane Bronnson to head her way.
Bronn has had a tough life. He played the bad boy, wild child card for years. Then he grew up and was trying to change his life around. Then….boom. Here comes Grace.
These two have fire ans passion. They love fiercely and fight fiercely. They are about to be put through the biggest test ever when their worlds are turned upside down.
That’s all I’m saying because you dont want the book ruined before you have a chance to read it. It was another 5 star read from A.S. Teague.

Today we have the blog tour for The Bars Between Us by A.S. Teague!! Check it out and be sure to grab your copy today!!

Title: The Bars Between Us

Author: A.S. Teague

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Bars Between Us:

I don’t have a damn thing in common with the beautiful rich girl who walks in to my bar. She’s southern class, fancy cars, and designer shoes.

I’ve got a drunk for a mother, a cheater for a father, and a reputation for trouble I’ve more than earned.

I look the other way, pretending I don’t notice how perfect she is. She wouldn’t give me the time of day anyway. Until she shatters that first impression and shows me she’s so much more––everything I never thought I deserved.

After a lifetime of being a disappointment, I want to prove to her that I’m better than my past.

We have one tragic thing in common, and the thread that binds us together will tear us apart as it unravels.

Are we strong enough to break through the Bars Between Us?
