No way I have LAUGHED this much while reading a romance novel! Honestly, it was just some of the best laughs I have had in a long time. I laughed so loudly I woke up my sleeping baby at 2AM – and he hadn’t been asleep for very long. Totally worth it! I laughed so hard I almost peed on myself. Thank goodness the half bath downstairs was clear of little boys! And of course, at one point in the story, the twist made me cuss out loud – loud enough that my five year old heard me and I got tattled on. What grown woman gets grounded for potty mouth? I DID, and I don’t even care! Liam and his one liners are worth it!
It was supposed to be a summer of fun… one last blast before she had to face becoming an adult and finding a real job. It doesn’t matter that Julia lied to her dad claiming she had a big fancy internship when really it was a job as a nanny. It was an easy summer job… right? Then she meets HIM. Liam – the arrogant asshole masquerading as a maid. No, a manservant. Enemies at first sight. But wow! Is he a HOT one. Seriously hot. And Julia has sworn off hot guys.
Oh, how things change in a week! The chemistry between Liam and Julia is absolutely undeniable even with the biting insults, snide remarks and evil smirks. Oh, and let’s not forget destruction to very important property (*snort*). He loves to torture her and seems to find more and more opportunity to do so. Especially when another seriously hot guy in the form of a delicious surfer named Sterling seems to want Julia all to himself. Let the games begin! Watching Liam in action is a lot like watching the little boy in the third grade pulling on the hair of the girl he really likes but claims that he doesn’t. And Liam REALLY likes Jules.
Shari has written just the most entertaining, most hilarious, I cannot catch my breath for laughing rom-com. It is truly a masterpiece and one that she can certainly be very proud of. Even in the laughter, Shari addresses the very serious issue of Aspergers and the effects of the disorder on young children and their caregivers. She did this with class, care and heartfelt understanding. As the mom of a special little guy on the autism spectrum, I’m grateful for the care that Shari showed Dylan and the strength of his bond with Liam.
A terrific enemies to lovers strory! A secondary cast just as awesome as the main characters. Without a doubt this has been just the most fun! Congratulations, Shari! This is your BEST EVER! Go get this one!
6 Shermie STARS! You’ll just have to read it and find out who Shermie is…
I just wanted an easy summer job…
That didn’t happen. Now, I’m in a living nightmare as I work alongside this monster of a man with mesmerizing emerald eyes that look at me inappropriately every time I see him. To add insult to injury, he has a tan I just want to lick, and a butt worth drooling over every time he purposefully walks by me. But, he’s an asshat, and looks are everything. I mean, aren’t. LOOKS. ARE. NOT. EVERYTHING. Why do I have to keep reminding myself of this?
His job is to clean, cook, and tend to the house we work in. That’s why I call him the manservant. Oh, and because it drives him nuts. That’s what he gets for torturing me.
This is a story of little restraint, too much desire, questionable actions, no strength whatsoever, and the best sex I’ve ever had.
The question is: Do I fall for this crude manservant whose idea of a fun time is to tie people up and do obscene things, or do I give him a taste of his own medicine?
All I’m going to say is . . . Things get weird, then hot, then weird again, and—you get my drift.
Go ahead and laugh. It might not be so funny if it happened to you.
