Review – The Bartender by Piper Rayne

The Bartender by Piper Rayne

4.5 heart warming, sexy stars!

Author duos are TAKING OVER and the newest kids on the block Piper Rayne are a match made in bookworm heaven! The Bartender is a bloody brilliant debut novel!

I was so surprised by this book, on the outside, the Bartender looks like a fun, flirty rom com! Which it is. But, it also goes deeper. Cole and Whitney develop a beautiful friendship after Whitney initially dislikes him, their friendship is one that blossoms, filled with lust and heat. Anyone who’s anyone knows I LOVE a good friends to lovers romance, with a bit of added hate in there and this book TICKED ALL MY BOXES.

Cole is fantastic! He’s deep and intense. He’s sexy and sinful. He’s dirty but oh, so delicious. And he drove himself straight into my heart!

Whitney makes up the FAB THREE. My nickname for the secondary characters that are introduced in this book. Despite initially struggling to connect to Whitney, I ended up really liking her in the end. Alongside Whit is, Lennon and Tahlia, they are a sisterhood I’d love to be apart of and I cannot wait for the next books to get their stories too.
The Bartender is a beautiful romance that will make you laugh, swoon, and just feel!

Who knew sleeping with the enemy could be this fun?

Was the one night stand a good idea?

Well, no. Probably not in retrospect.

In my defense I had just moved back into my grandparent’s house, I’d lost my dream job, and a guy on Tinder had stood me up. It was like life had suddenly stamped ‘LOSER’ on my forehead.

So when the guy behind the bar started giving me THE look…you know, the one that promised I’d be screaming his name into the wee hours of the morning? When that guy also has the perfect amount of scruff on his chiseled chin, biceps bulging out of his t-shirt, and a cocky grin you knew he’d earned in the sack…when he gives you that look, you don’t bother to figure out what your six degrees of separation are. You jump on that horse and ride it!

Pun fully and completely intended. And accurate by the way.

I fully admit to feeling sorry for myself and acting impulsively, but by the time I’d figured out WHO the bartender was, I was already falling for him.
