Review – Provocative by Alex Lucian

Man, oh, man, oh, man!! I honestly have NO IDEA where to start. Holy shiz, this book rocked me to my core! When I first saw that we were getting more from Nathan & Adele I think I squealed a little, then came the anxiety of what on earth would happen between them and wowzas a lot freaking happened between them!

My naughty professor and his teasing temptress stole my heart in Tempting. In Provocative they obliterated it, before rendering me speechless with their love and devotion. The forbidden fantasy became an overwhelming, heart breaking romance that drained me, push all my emotions to the brink and then fully claimed me!

I didn’t think I could love them anymore to be honest. I was so scared that this book would do something to make me not like Adele. Don’t ask me why just her, I have no idea. It was just a funny feeling. But my word! I freaking LOVE her, even more so now! If possible, her character development in this book brought her on SO MUCH MORE! Alex pushed her to the limits in this book, with a devastating story line that packed a punch in the feels department! But she grew, a lot. And man, I wanted to fist bump her on a few occasions, as well as hug her and cry with her.

Nathan once again made me all tingly. He’s sin, wrapped in a delicious hot package. But I’ll admit he made me ansty when reading this book, I was on the edge of my seat at times not knowing where their story was going.

However, it went in the best possible direction, a fantastic direction that lit up a pathway to bookworm heaven. A heaven I don’t want to descend from!!

Coming home to a quiet, dark house.
Meals by myself, because she was already done.

Excuses and apologies, they were never enough.

But even with that, when I touched her—when she arched under me and pulled me deeper— we couldn’t get back to where we needed to be.

Where we used to be.

It was all frustration.

Loneliness.

Loss.

Because even though she was no longer my student, the chemistry was always there.

Adele and I loved each other.

We thought we were unshakeable.

But love isn’t always enough.

It wasn’t enough when I constantly disappointed her.

It wasn’t enough when loss cleaved us in two.

And when she left me, love was not enough.

She didn’t know yet that I’d never stop fighting for her.

But she would.

**Author’s note- Let’s be real clear that this is BOOK TWO of a duet, and you’re going to want to read Tempting before you read this one. Adele and Nathan started their story in that book, and you’ll get the same sex, fighting, and cursing that you did in the first. But if you want it to make sense, read Tempting first. If any of that offends you, please avoid them both.**
